I am not surprised that Marcus Rashford accepted a pay cut to move to Barcelona this season, but I am surprised that he will be receiving £80k per week at Barcelona. It is not that Marcus Rashford doesn't care about Manchester United, but the problem is that Ruben Amorim didn't include Marcus Rashford in his plan, so Marcus Rashford has to accept a cut that's as low as £80k per week just to play football where he will be happy and valued.
playing for Barcelona should be seen as a lift for Marcus Rashford even if he is going to the club on the ground of a loan. Manchester united are not even in a major competition this season and normally, most of her players that are struggling to find a place in the team will happily move out to a better place where they can play along big players. playing for Aston villa last season gave him the opportunity of playing in the champions league even though united didn't qualify for same league. playing for barca this season will still give him that edge and for the salary cut, it could be the little sacrifice he has to make just so he ca have a really good season.
This is for Marcus Rashford's future career development, and he's done the right thing, especially considering his continued stay at Manchester United. His performance hasn't improved for several seasons and he hasn't made a significant contribution to the team. I'm confident Marcus Rashford's decision is the right one.
On the other hand, Amorim also didn't include Marcus Rashford in their team-building plans for next season due to his inconsistent performance.
Marcus Rashford's time at Barcelona isn't easy either, as he'll be competing with several players for a starting spot up front, so he'll have to work hard to achieve that.

What are more surprised about is that, Marcus Rashford agreed to be a substitute player at Barcelona for someone who have always been the started for Manchester United. I wonder if it is desperateness or he is just been considerate to move to Barcelona. In the aspect of his receiving £80k per week, I feel the agreement is flexible to changes as time goes on. He wont dare to sit at the amount for a very long time. When the 2 year contract expires and the club value him to be one of the best, his weekly pay will change in the next contract he will sign.
Agbamoni you are right, I really don't know why Ruben Amorim didn't include him on his plan and letting him go, well for me Marcus Rashford made the right and best decision by agreeing to accept a pay cut to move to Barcelona this season, at least he will play football there and just like you said if he perform very well his pay will increase in the next contract they will may, however this is just a loan with a choice for Barcelona to keep him if they wise after the loan contract expire.
Yeah Marcus Rashford agreed to be a substitute player at Barcelona and I don't see anything bad there because with just a little time he can use it to prove himself and when he those that believe me he will be having more longer time playing.

Marcus Rashford was earning £300,000 gross per week under his current Manchester United contract I don't think Barcelona can pay him this amount of money because Barcelona is not that financially stable however let see how things goes, the only time I feel Barcelona will even consider increasing his wage if they decide to keep him is if he perform very well and shock everyone by his performance.

Signing Mbeumo for 75 Million Euros is ridiculous, but it's more ridiculous to see Manchester United are interested to sign Jackson, Chelsea have set a price Jackson price for 70 Million Euros, which is high, player like him only worth around 40 Million Euros.
The market for forwards is horrible tbh. I think Sesko or Ekitike is priced so high too. Unless the player has a buy-out clause or something, the clubs will likely try to push the price as high as possible. Even Diaz is rumoured to be around 80 million or something, last time I checked the rumours. If you put that into context, one could argue that the price for Jackson or Mbuemo is not that crazy, although it's still overpriced for most of them.

Manchester United has signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Mbeumo is arguably the MVP of Brentford last season and the highest scorer for Brentford, which performed better than Manchester United. This deal means Manchester United would get a new forward who is used to the league and it's the record highest sell for Brentford. Man U seems to be doing all it can to bolster the team before the next season. They had also previously got Matheus Cunha who was also the top goal scorer from Wolves.

By looking at this acquisition from Manchester united as a none fan, I am a bit impress but honestly speaking these transfer alone wouldn't take Manchester united to the top four position if you ask me, because this Manchester united team lacks quality in all departments, last season we saw how terrible their defense are, how they exposed onana and makes him look stupid in goal, so their defense and midfield is where they also needs to upgrade, not their attack alone, because if they do not add more quality to this team, they will suffer.
By looking around we can see that almost all the teams in the English premier league has strengthen their team, so for Manchester united to be in position to compete, they have to do the same, because I don't think mbeumo and cunha is enough to challenge for a top four position talkless of winning a silverware.

Signing a player who was fourth highest goal scorer in the Premier League for the past season is ridiculous? What will you say about clubs like Newcastle, Arsenal,  Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea splurging and signing players who have less that 12 Premier League goals? A lot of post are funny on here, well,  you're entitled to your own opinion. They're not pressing for Nicholas Jackson and even if he comes,  he comes in as a Garnacho replacement not centre forward.

Morata's move to Como was a market bomb, I never expected to see such a strong player going to play in a club like Como, which absurdly spent more than anyone else, only behind Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid, so not exactly a small club, at least economically

Atalanta and Mateo Retegui made a Great deal yesterday.
https://www.atalanta.it/news/mateo-retegui-si-trasferisce-in-arabia-saudita
Atalanta sold the top scorer of Serie A, who scored 25 goals last season for 65 million euros.
Retegui himself got a personal contart for 3 years and 20 million euros per year and I think for these 3 years he will fully support himself and his family for years to come. Now the Saudi league is extremely strong and with good play I think he may be called up to the national team as well.
Anyway a great deal for Retegui and Atalanta who have sold players for more than 50 million euros for 4 years in a row.

I don't know if Marcus Rashford will be a substitute player at Barcelona, but even though it is true Marcus Rashford will be a substitute player at Barcelona, I think it is better for him to play as a substitute player at Barcelona rather than staying at Manchester United without a guarantee of playing a match for Manchester United next season. I know that Marcus Rashford's wage at Barcelona will increase as time goes on, but I was just surprised that Marcus Rashford, who was receiving £300k per week at Manchester United, accepted to receive a wage as low as £80k per week at Barcelona.

At least, they need to start from somewhere. From my observations last season, United gat no striker and that was why United fell down to almost the relegation zone on the table. Getting two strikes is a good start and with time, more players will be sold and replaced. United cannot change get players for all the departments at once after throwing away a huge amount of money in last summer transfer window

Hugo Ekitike will not score 20+ goals this season. Which means that they are spending 110 million give or take on the first year for transfer fee + salary. They could have gotten Osimhen for the same money, you mean to tell me Ekitike worths more than Osimhen? That makes no sense and he definitely doesn't. They could have spent less to get better players, they just wasted a ton of money for no reason.

Liverpool made a huge mistake with this deal, I am sure of it, they are going to not see his mistakes and issues over course of just one game, but after a while, he is going to be like a Nunez deal. Liverpool won the title twice without a proper striker, so maybe they will do it again, but they seriously need a good striker one of these years.
Liverpool has Mo Salah as goal getter but they impossible to rely on this player for whole season especially Liverpool have to play on several different competition with tight fixtures so Liverpool should have good depth of squad and last season without proper striker they can get the title but Slot feel forward lines is the weaknesses which should be improved especially after Diogo Jota death and Nunez rumoured will be left this summer

Ekitike is potential player especially he is still young 23 years so maybe Liverpool can consider him as long term investment for the team but indeed he certainly overpriced but Slot is very confident Ekitike can being an a good player in Liverpool so that's why he personally convincing Ekitike to moved to Liverpool and in this team Ekitike will gets 6 years contract
Liverpool seems to be doing a very nice business, for a team that just won the tittle I’m impressed with transfer business, Just like you have said Mohammed Salah has been the goal getter for the team, and you can never take that away from Mohammed Salah, But I’m very convinced he will come up with the goals again for the coming season, Slot was very good to get the best out of him considering his age, because he doesn’t have to do much defending anymore because of his age, and the coach have looked at the team and they will not have to rely on Mohammed Salah goals, because at some point he might get injured and he will also need some rest when fatigue comes in, so they will definitely need more legs in attack to cover up his goals.

Speaking of Ekitike he is a very good signing because he doesn’t only offer goals he can also give the assist and hold up play, and allow the wingers to drift into the box, so he has good qualities, I wouldn’t say he is over priced considering the nature of the transfer market now, players are not cheap anymore, if you need a player you have to pay the asking price, And I don’t think £69 million and £10 million add on is over priced for the nature of the market, Ekitike is just 23 years old and his a plan for the future, so he is worth every penny that have been paid for him, I’m anticipating what the coach will do with Nunez if he stays or leave the club, I feel Liverpool aren’t done in the transfer window. And Ekitike will come good and the coach will try to get the best out of him, he is young and there is room for improvement.

That's simply because Kloop left a very good squad for him to inherit. If you noticed, Kloop Liverpool earned more points and scored more goal in his two previous consecutive seasons but still didn't win the league because Pep's Manchester was on fire. It's verifiable, if Manchester City didn't decline last season, Slot wouldn't have won the league as he did last season.

Rashford could play both wings and forward. Which means, when Raphinha needs rest (these players play 50+ games a season) then Rashford can play, plus he can join later in the game, like 70th minute or 80th minute to bring in some fresh legs. He could not only help with Raphinha, but also Yamal and Lewandowski all at the same time.

It is quite rare to see Rashford as RW. He would be preferred in Raphinha and Lewandowski's positions the most. Besides he is a player who likes to make many goal attempts. And he is right-footed. It is better to put him on the left wing when he plays as winger.  Wink

Atletico Madrid is about to complete another CB signing... Chelsea will make a really good profit in his sale if they convince Atletico Madrid for 40 million euros. They bought him for only 14 million.

He is only 21. Atletico Madrid didn't have a young CB like him. Better to secure their future if he performs nicely.

It's hard to deny Chelsea is always good in doing football business. They bought Veiga for 14m, then so many offers came for them. The first one was coming from Atletico, which was around 35m (add ons). However i believe Chelsea can push Atletico to deal with their asking price.
It's also good for Atletico to get him as a new CB, and the positive is that he can also play as LB as well, though it's not his main position.

Getting him much more better instead of Cuti Romero from Tottenham. I believe this deal will be finished very soon.

That's simply because Kloop left a very good squad for him to inherit. It's verifiable, if Manchester City didn't decline last season, Slot wouldn't have won the league as he did last season.

It's one thing to inherit a very good squad and another thing is managing them properly, if Slot wasn't a good manager he wouldn't have won the league with that squad so let's not give Klopp all the praises and forget to acknowledge Arne Slots good effort last season, some coach would had finished in a good spot even with that squad Klopp left for him.

Also, Arne Slots success last season wasn't dependent on City's decline, Liverpool kept a very good record in the league last season while Manchester City were drawing and throwing away points, Liverpool were winning their matches and adding to their points, they top the runners up Arsenal with about 10 points.

I agree with Princess Leah here. I think inheriting a good squad can be such a big present from your predecessor. When you think about the coaches that became the successors of prime Guardiola Barcelona, it was like Christmas for them. They still had to manage the team and you could see that Koeman for example couldn't do it as well, but it's a huge advantage.

Slot did much better than expected, but he benefitted from two main conditions. One is that he did indeed inherit an outstanding squad from Klopp and that is a big deal. The second big advantage he had last season was that there was no competition. Remember the seasons when Liverpool and Man City were head to head until the last day and it was only a point and goal difference. The pressure never stopped and the tiniest of mistakes could cost them the title. It wasn't like that last season. In that regard last season was more of a relaxing walk than a marathon. Liverpool was the best team by far in the first 30 matches, but the other teams were losing points all the time. After 13 weeks into the season, Liverpool was leading by 9 points and Arsenal and Chelsea followed them with a rate of merely above 50% winning their games.

No one knows how things would have turned out if City had continued to dominate in the English Premier League. If they hadn’t had any kind of crisis, Liverpool might have played differently too. It’s one thing to compete when you have a worthy opponent and you're going toe to toe with them, and a completely different thing to dominate without feeling any competition from other teams. In that case, you play much more easily, without pressure.

I hope City will show their former strong form this season, and then we’ll be able to see how good Liverpool really are. But Liverpool have undergone many changes, both in attack and in defense, and I think that could affect the team. So I believe this season will be more difficult for them either way.

No lies about that. See in the case of Noni Madueke that they bought for £30m from PSV and later sold to Arsenal for a fee of £52m . Personally, I don't really see why Renato should be sold at that amount by the club because I didn't really see much of him at Chelsea, rather it was when he went to Juventus that he played a good role in their defense.
Anyway, Atletico Madrid should sign him since they couldn't lay their hands on Romero of Tottenham. Meanwhile, Renato is utterly disappointed at Chelsea for not letting him play at Chelsea in his CB position since he did so brilliantly at Juventus but I hope he won't get benched like he was at Chelsea because the main reason he left on loan was so he could have playing time.

Francisco Conceição is on the way to Juventus permanently!

A good deal for Porto first of all. Bought for €10m and sold for €30m. 4 installments is a little too much but anyways...  Tongue

On the other hand there are Nico González and Weah as well for right winger options. Wouldn't this cause an unhappy condition for some of them? How will Tudor give all of them enough number of chances?

It seems Onana's injury really give Manchester United fans joy.  Their club is trying to approach Martinez to join as their new goalie. I think he's an upgrade from what they have. However, only hope them to be cautious with Martinez's attitude and mannerism.
The only thing that is doubting me is that Martinez's asking price (£40m), which is utterly non sense. It's not worth with how old he is now. Do you guys agree to see Martinez to come as Onana's replacement?
How can you look at Dibu Martinez and say he’s not worth £40m, with what he has achieved he’s over £40 even at his age. Goal keepers performance are not really affected by age, instead they get better with time (age), Check your stats.
I’m not sure Dibu would even want to go to Man United.

Napoli is successfully fooling Galatasaray with this transfer. You only mention €80M transfer fees, but forget 10% cut for the future sales of Osimhen, and a clause not sale him to the italian clubs for two years.

This news is really disheartening for all of Galatasaray fans. Their club totally outplayed by ADL in this transfer. They pay the same amount like when Napoli bought him five years ago.
It seems that not only Galatasaray were fooled by Napoli in the matter of signing Osimhen, but this also impacted the player himself. A player of his caliber who had the opportunity to succeed at a much bigger club ultimately had to stay at Galatasaray.
Napoli truly exploited the conditions for Osimhen's signing so they wouldn't lose out by letting him go.
If this news is true then I don't think Osimhen will achieve his best career in Europe because playing in a club that doesn't offer big trophies will make his name sink even further in the next few seasons, this is really a big loss because Osimhen has the potential to be a good striker in Europe.
I can't help but wonder why no other European club decided to spend money for Osimhen: is it because the way it ended with Napoli? Is it because he was asking for too much money? Is it a problem with his agents? He's a great striker, he has the same age of Gyökeres and yet it looks like European football forgot about him, it's kind of weird, there must be some problem somewhere, I just wonder what it is.

So am not the only one with this thought, i mean this has baffled me for some time now and I don't know why he didn't actually get a deal with any European club, like he has shown his physicality and also his ability too quite match the actual amount the club was asking per transfer deal. I don't think there are up to 5 strikers now currently that is better than this dude, maybe some might say he did perfect because of the league he played but he has shown his is a top class striker even when he played in Italy so just like you I really can't place the reason why.
This is really a worrying issue, how can a player as good as he be treated as such, he has shown all it  takes to be a great player with stats and trophies. Even a player like Hugo Ekitike is getting priced at £79m and he’s not even as good as Osimhen.
