And now it is OFFICIAL Hugo Ekitike from Germany to Liverpool in a 6years contract. €80m +10m easy bonues and 5 extra hard bonuses
Crazy amount of money for not a top tier striker imho.
Hugo Ekitike isn’t a top tier striker but he will perform extraordinary well in Liverpool in replacement for Darwin Nunez if he leaves this summer. Even though Ekitike is not a top tier striker Liverpool decided to sign him because they wanted something from him and hopefully he gives it all, as we can say from his performance in PSG and Frankfurt. Liverpool are currently in need of strikers because of the tragic lost of Jota and the possible departure of Nunez this transfer window. The German side Frankfurt will benefit alot from this deal and they will possibly used to money to finance the club’s activities which is a nice cashout from a player. Yes, Ekitike isn't "top tier" yet. But that is exactly the gamble Liverpool are playing. They are dropping up to €95m (and £250k/week wages) not because he is the finished product, but because his numbers scream "future killer" even if his goals do not. This is the new Liverpool, post-Klopp, post-underdog narrative, full-on data cult Nunez comparison is obvious, but Ekitike's xG per 90 (0.67) was top 5 in Europe last season, but he underperformed his expected goals by a massive -5.2 (worst in the big leagues). In normal fan-speak, he is always in the right place, cannot finish to save his life (yet). Liverpool's bet? That finishing is randomness, process is gold. So, if he just becomes average in front of goal, surrounded by Wirtz and Salah, the guy's output could explode and he will look a bargain in 2 years

Arsenal have done so well with the acquisition of a good striker finally but I also agree with the club that it shouldn’t end there and they should improve further because for the last three seasons Arsenal have had to deal with issues with their squad depth. This summer the club has actually backed Arteta well, it will benefit the club more if they can finally strengthen in all areas for the coming season, the acquisition of Rodrygo or Eze will really put Arsenal on a better footing for the next season.

For your info Gyokeres wasn't having any other English premier league club in mind including Manchester United except for Arsenal. He made that clear which was much reason Arsenal had to increase their efforts in signing him to the club. Moreover, Manchester United isn't playing in the champions league next season which I believed may have made Gyokeres prefer Arsenal to United.
Real ones know that there is nothing left in Manchester United, the name has been made but the team isn't really representing the club at any level. Arsenal hasn't miss the Champions League for the last 4 seasons Arteta has been with the club but Manchester United has been inconsistent all this while. Before Manchester United will be in good form, it will take at least 2-3 years before they get theirselves together and how many years is Gyokeres contract to begin with.. For those that have followed Manchester United right from their glory days especially when Alex Ferguson was manager, and seeing the results of their performances currently it is no error that anyone says there's nothing fascinating happening with the club anymore. The opportunity that Arsenal now have in participating in the UCL should be well optimized in winning the league, for the past forum seasons has been their best seasons after many years of not participating in the UCL and with the players they have now in the team they really should stand a high chance of winning the league. There are many good performing teams in the Premier League at present, but I don't know why I have more interest in Manchester United and I still support Manchester United as before, but I think that Manchester United may not be able to return to the previous position as they were before. Manchester United lost their glory days a long time ago and after that they tried to buy players but they still could not return to their previous position. I don't know how much the management is working on Manchester United but they should plan better with this team and transform Manchester United into a strong team again so that anyone includes Manchester United in the top five teams of the Premier League and Manchester United is always the favorite to win the league title.

@FabrizioRomano🚨💣 Understand Alexander Isak remains a target for Liverpool even after signing Ekitike… but depends on Newcastle. If Newcastle open doors to an exit and #LFC sell Diaz, they can bid after direct contact made 10 days ago. Isak, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 in concrete talks with Al Hilal so far. https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1948346962413031699 how much money they are going to spend this transfer's market? I guess better for them Premier league is near 2bilions € spend while the others league are at max 600m€. I think that if we combaine Serie A, Germany, Spain and France we dont reach the amount of money spent from Premier alone.

There is a big target to be achieved if we look at what Liverpool has done and is currently doing. Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez, not to mention the goalkeeper position, show that Liverpool wants to retain the title in the 2025/26 season. This suspicion grows stronger if the rumors about Isak resurface, especially if his statement is that Newcastle is opening the door.
Moving to Al Hilal is not a good option given the player's current form.
If Liverpool really gets Alexander Isak, I think Liverpool will truly become a more solid team in the new season. And regarding Liverpool's targets, I think that apart from wanting to defend their Premier League title, I think this team is also preparing to achieve a bigger target, namely the Champions League. And I think with the strength they have, Liverpool's chances are also quite big. In my opinion, if Isak officially becomes a Liverpool player, then Liverpool will be the most luxurious squad in the Premier League out of the 19 other teams. If their only goal is to defend their Premier League title, then perhaps they shouldn't have spent so much money in this transfer window. With the new recruits + Isak, they should be aiming for the treble in the 2025/26 season. That would be in line with the amount of money spent. I was even talking to someone about how Liverpool are still strengthing their depth not knowing they still got plans for Isak, if it happens then they're the most preferred team to win the Premier League this season. Imagine Isak as a main striker then Hugo as support mehn that team would be very tough they'll have the most solid attack in the league next season.

I have the feeling that Liverpool want to establish the same dominance Manchester City have had all these years but I doubt they will manage it. A lot of things worked really well at City, the team was very strong, the manager is one of the best in the world and some of the other clubs overslept. Liverpool are investing a lot of money, but will it pay off in the end? I believe that City will reclaim the throne this year.

This morning, I read a report on popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano's page that "Alejandro Garnacho is one of the main options on Chelsea's list". The Argentine winger I know fell out with the club manager last season and publicly made statements that suggests he wants a move away from Old Trafford but for club like Chelsea who are currently going for the best players, I doubt they'll prioritize Garnacho at the moment.
This Argentine winger has won everyone's hearts but I understand he may not be able to stay at Old Trafford permanently because there was a disagreement there but at the moment it seems that Chelsea are very aware of the situation. We can see that the Blues are considering signing Simons as an immediate priority so it can be said that the level of transfer of the Argentine winger may decrease slightly there. The Netherlands international player is currently in high demand as he was very responsible for the RB Leipzig football team where he impressed us all with his performance. So in this context it can be said that if Simons comes then maybe the idea of transferring the Argentine player might be difficult.

But currently it's been a different story and all some of the fans consoles themselves with is the glory days of the club. For Manchester United to get off this current difficulty with the club transitions back to it's glory days or at least closer, the ownership of the club do really have to change hands because I think the present owners hasn't really been given much into this club in terms of what the club has been known for.

Liverpool are opportune to invest in the project of Arne Slot because he proof everyone's right when he decides to appear in Anfield and won the EPL title. Do you think he's here to joke? He mean business and have won major trophy. This is a direct message to everyone, he's here to win major trophies and if he's given the accessible revenue, he will make more progressive standards for the Reds. We know it's surely going to be a hellof a season for Liverpool because Manchester City and other elite team will definitely bounce back on their heels and we know it's entirely not going to be friendly one but a fierce one. This is the time for elite teams to enter the transfer window and do what they do best, making prominent signings.

It seems Onana's injury really give Manchester United fans joy. Their club is trying to approach Martinez to join as their new goalie. I think he's an upgrade from what they have. However, only hope them to be cautious with Martinez's attitude and mannerism. The only thing that is doubting me is that Martinez's asking price (£40m), which is utterly non sense. It's not worth with how old he is now. Do you guys agree to see Martinez to come as Onana's replacement? It’s sad that Manchester United have come to this point where fans rejoice that their number 1 goalie is out on injury. Onana has had a disappointing year with Manchester United but so has 80 percent of the squad and all this goes back to Erik Ten Hag. Hopefully Amorim can develop a new mentality and philosophy in the locker room, I don’t think Onana is a bad goalie, he just needs good defenders to support him and he will be able to get his confidence back.

Yes, Ekitike isn't "top tier" yet. But that is exactly the gamble Liverpool are playing. They are dropping up to €95m (and £250k/week wages) not because he is the finished product, but because his numbers scream "future killer" even if his goals do not. This is the new Liverpool, post-Klopp, post-underdog narrative, full-on data cult
But seeing from the way Liverpool is currently although this smells of speculation and seems like a gamble but indeed they are quite serious about making some changes in the squad and I think it's pretty good not only for the short term but for the longer term considering the age of some of the players recruited at this time is still quite old. They realize that the upcoming season might be a bit more difficult because in terms of pressure and demands it's definitely more than last season considering they are the defending champions. So they do everything so that their performance does not decline and with the joining of several players who still steal the attention such as Ekitike and Wirtz who have pretty good goal instincts even last season they still entered the top score and top assist of course this proves that Liverpool are very serious about maintaining their position next season. Now after several new arrivals I am quite interested to see how Nunez's future in the squad because with his condition in the last few seasons that has not developed of course this will provide a slightly difficult situation if indeed he still wants to stay in the main squad.

how much money they are going to spend this transfer's market? I guess better for them Premier league is near 2bilions € spend while the others league are at max 600m€. Liverpool have spent transfer fees for several well-known players who have been targeted by other teams as well such as Friempong, Wirtz, Ekitike and now officially belong to Liverpool. Not including the next target, Isak. This is the first time Liverpool has done such a thing but it has become the talk of many people. I think that if we combaine Serie A, Germany, Spain and France we dont reach the amount of money spent from Premier alone.
This is true. Teams from the English Premier League are known to be willing to spend a lot in transfer matters compared to teams from other leagues. Please understand, the Premier League is the most competitive league on all sides including transfers.

I was think the same thing the other time but looking at the current situations of Arsenal, we have to look at their finance, they are spending more already. If they want to add Eze and Rodrigo, either one out of the two the ar going to caugh some money. Eze might be cheaper but I will still go with Rodrigo even though they already have Madueke in the list. Rodrigo can easily be tweak to play number anytime Viktor Gyokores is compromise or injured. If they can have the two, it's not bad. Those two players can do some wonderful changes in Arsenal but the among of money to bring the two players isn't a small most especially amount to sign Rodrigo. The club will not let that go with anything less than $100m even though he had a rough season last season and since the club isn't ready to let him go but he willingly at some point want to exit the club, they will do anything to milk both the player and the club that has interest in him.

After watching the mess Onana did last season, which fan won't be happy that Manchester United are considering to sign another keeper, if I were a Manchester United fan I'll be very happy cause that needs to upgrade from Onana as their first choice goalkeeper, Martinez would make a perfect upgrade so they have to hasten up if they're really serious about an upgrade in that position. Manchester United have several good defenders, that position shouldn't be their problem but getting a better goalkeeper, Onana made lots of errors last season I wonder whether you didn't notice it, if he was manageable the club would've focus on the defends instead thinking of a replacement.

We are currently seeing Chelsea Football Club making insane demands to sell Joao Felix as this player may not have been associated with the club for very long. When this player signed with the English representative club, Conor Gallagher signed with Atletico Madrid but from what I have seen they were unable to return to their previous position. Everyone may have noticed that this player played in the Italian league but the media there is saying that he did not perform well there so I think that the English club will sell him. By the way the current Club World Cup champion team may be trying to make their money back through flop admission as they are selling him for less than the signing fee.
I feel sorry for Joao Felix, he has struggled to stay consistent and has been involved in several moves lately but still no stability. Chelsea are considering selling him this summer but I doubt they will be able to get their money’s worth back from his transfer because since he hasn’t made any significant improvement to boost his market value.

Yeah, that’s the truth. Three years back now, Arsenal was facing some issues, which only their manager could solve, and how he could solve them is by signing more key players into the team so that the team performances would change to better ones. But I know that better things are money that can solve it; maybe it is because the money that they put to call and release some players for Arsenal is too much. That is why they never put bodies well. Because money is everything, but I heard that they have signed some players already. If that should be true, next season will be interesting and have tough competition, as we’re seeing so many teams are getting prepared against next season to bring good squad depth to the team so that they can be able to fight any of their opponents.

I can't help but wonder why no other European club decided to spend money for Osimhen: is it because the way it ended with Napoli? Is it because he was asking for too much money? Is it a problem with his agents? He's a great striker, he has the same age of Gyökeres and yet it looks like European football forgot about him, it's kind of weird, there must be some problem somewhere, I just wonder what it is.
The reason is simple, Osimhen's wage. His transfer fees ain't the problem, but his wage is too big. His weekly wage was 300k per-week, and adding him to the big club squad can burdening that club. It makes that club may be violating the PSR rules. Things worsen when he demands higher wage than what he received from Napoli, but Galatasaray is the only club that can afford him 340k per week. So, that's why other big clubs moved away from him. If the problem was only the wage than it would mean that Osimhen cares more about the money rather than glory (and there is nothing wrong with that) but it that case he could have simply accepted the offers he received from Saudi Arabia, way more money than Turkey. I don't know, maybe at the end he really likes Galatasaray, Istanbul is a pretty cool city, it makes sense but I keep wondering if there is something else. United and Arsenal absolutely need a striker, Chelsea too, and for sure they could offer a lot of money to the club and the player as well. I think that apart from the high wage demands of Victor Osimehn, He also really wants to play where he is loved and appreciated by the team and the fans. Certainly Osimehn is a really good player and with his current form he should be the most sort after player in his position by so many big clubs in Europe, but it seems that most of this big clubs aren’t showing too much interest in him. I think Osimehn have found love in Galaterssary, their fans loved him and he had a great season on loan with them last season and they are willing to meet his wage demands too, and are also going to be playing champions league football. Osimehn wants to remain in Europe and Galaterssary are willing to pay his wage and still meet his European desire of playing in the Champions League. So, why should he be chasing Chelsea or Arsenal even when this club’s are reluctant to sign him, it’s preferable for him to stick with Galaterssary where they really wants him.

In normal fan-speak, he is always in the right place, cannot finish to save his life (yet). Liverpool's bet? That finishing is randomness, process is gold. So, if he just becomes average in front of goal, surrounded by Wirtz and Salah, the guy's output could explode and he will look a bargain in 2 years
Liverpool is really a best place for Ekitike and neglecting his former season goal stats I think the player will perform excellently next season because of the new club, new teammates and a new coach, I just hope the coach is able to bring out the star in Ekitike and make him a top tier in Liverpool. Liverpool really had a bet this transfer window risking around $95m on Ekitike, and hopes it works out well for them next season as premier is a very competitive league and all of clubs in the league are currently strengthening their squad so they can secure the trophy. We will see how Ekitike would perform next season though and hope he becomes more valuable in price along the way.

If Rodrygo is to be transferred, he will make a significant contribution every year, and I feel the same way about this. Arsenal made some really good signings this year and strengthened their weak areas very well. With Gyökeres, Arsenal has been particularly strengthened in the forward area. Arsenal will be a natural contender for the Premier League title next year. I hope they don't finish second again in a fiercely competitive game. Arsenal, who have long dreamed of winning the title, are very close to achieving it this year, I think.

Manchester United have several good defenders, that position shouldn't be their problem but getting a better goalkeeper, Onana made lots of errors last season I wonder whether you didn't notice it, if he was manageable the club would've focus on the defends instead thinking of a replacement.
Onana performance was so poor last season, I was thinking the first thing that Manchester United will do is get a new goalkeeper when the transfer window is open, but they didn’t do that, but seriously Manchester United just need to sign a better goalkeeper, I don’t really know if Onana performance is going to improve, they just need replacement for him, they shouldn’t depend on Onana completely. Everyone have been complaining about Onana, but I guess we are not suppose to blame only Onana, I think we should blame the defenders also, Manchester United defense is not that strong as you said, there are some balls that are not suppose to get to the goalkeeper, if Manchester United had a strong defense last season, then they will have been able to protect even the goalkeeper, but they have a weak defense, so their opponents are always finding it easy to break.
