Galatasaray looks really determined to build a solid squad...

Osimhen, Sane... And now they are going after players like Akanji, Ederson and Wilfried Singo.  Smiley  As long as they have the money I don't expect them to have problems.

Because as far as I know, all of this trio are eager to sign for them. The qualification for league phase of the Champions League is a big factor on that.

Galatasaray is looking so intimidating already from the way they are going with their incoming players they are gradually taking over the Turkish league with the squad they have already and if they succeed in signing the players on their list winning the league title will not be their problem this season but advancing in the champions League will become their target. Last season they won the league cup and the championship the money should be enough to afford the players and if they get those players they will go far in the champions League of they are lucky to win games with their performance.

This was Isak statement and if this is true then we shouldn't judge some of these players who force their way out from their current club, promises are broken like he said and leaving the club is best for him, they should let him go of that's the case. The amount they placed on him is too much, £150m is to say they don't want to sell him, the amount will definitely scare clubs from coming to get him.
Players don't wake up to offer a request to leave their present club without having good reasons for their decision. Isak has now made his reasons for asking to leave Newcastle united clear. A promise has been broken and he does not find it comfortable to still play in a club that do not respect promises made. On the path of Newcastle united they are not willing to release him subsequent to the absurd fees placed on him. Isak has to stand on his ground and ensure his rights are respected and not attending the PFA award night was a right protesting decision.

That's why Amorim included Zirkze in the squad while he also excluded Hojlund. Amrim even tells Hojlund to leave, but still yet in finding a new team for him. It most probably he goes back to the Italy.

If it is not possible to sell, Rasmus Hojlund should still be able to get a club, even with a loan status. Rumors say Napoli and Milan are interested in Rasmus Hojlund, but an agreement has not been reached yet. Amorim is certainly considering several players who really need to leave the team, as Rasmus Hojlund's performance with United has not been good. However, last season Amorim did not have many options. Now he could actually leave the team.
But still no official offer came from those italian clubs. If he moves back to the serie a, it's good for him, but not for his club. His club is looking for a way to explore him as they need to recoup back some money from him. I hope he leaves as a permanent consider how uncertain his future in MU.
He won't be played Amorim, and that's the reason he shall leave.

And don’t you think it’s unfair that the player signed a contract but is now sabotaging it? Isak is behaving like a fraud, I hope Newcastle don't give in to his blackmail and just fine him until he returns to fulfill his contract or is bought for a price that Newcastle are happy with.
In general, Isaac, in my opinion, is too stupid to understand that he is wrong, he is not going to stop and will probably harm himself even more.
Some people try to make the situation look like Isak's agent is to blame for everything, but Isak is an adult, and all responsibility lies with him.

Here's the official statement from the club regarding this saga.

Newcastle United statement: Alexander Isak

"We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening. We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer.

We want to keep our best players, but we also understand players have their own wishes and we listen to their views. As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into consideration the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale this summer have not transpired. We do not foresee those conditions being met.

This is a proud football club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel. Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates."

It's unfortunate Isak decides to put his career at stake knowing he's still under contract. I respect Newcastle for standing firm on this issue by the way.

A wonderful statement from Newcastle - they practically said in plain text that everything Isak said was bullshit, called on him to honour his contract and reiterated that he would not be sold until the club received the desired amount. It's high time to stop this bullshit when players make up some promises and don't pay attention to the contract. I'm looking forward to the transfer window closing to see how this idiot will tuck his tail between his legs and apologize or sit in the reserve squad.

Newcastle has again made a fresh offer for the Congolese forward, Yoane Wissa this time around in a bid worth £40 million. The Brentford forward seems to be having a little rough time with his club and has told Brentford that he wants a move to Newcastle United. Now that Wissa wants Newcastle and Brentford wants more money than what Newcastle is offering, what if Brentford blocks his move the same way Newcastle is blocking Isak's move?

I still agree with the fact that players and teams should honour the contract that they have penned down but sometimes things change along the line and the player might want to leave or club will want to sell a particular player. I believe that is why they have transfer windows. I just hope both player and club settles amicably.

Akanji, the man that was developed by Pep himself when he came into the club and brushed the likes of Akanji. Seriously, the club needs revamping and Pep isn't afraid of doing it. Just one bad season and an overhaul is gradually taking place. This is what certain big clubs in the league can't achieve, I don't know if they are afraid of attempting an overhaul of squad as they have been constantly being bad in football for ages now.

Now that Wissa wants Newcastle and Brentford wants more money than what Newcastle is offering, what if Brentford blocks his move the same way Newcastle is blocking Isak's move?
That’s actually a really interesting parallel you bring up. On one hand, Newcastle are pushing hard for Wissa with £40m, but Brentford know how the market works — strikers who can deliver in the EPL don’t come cheap, especially when the selling club isn’t desperate. If Wissa himself is pushing for the move, that definitely adds pressure, but Brentford will still want to maximize value.
Now, if they play the same card Newcastle is playing with Isak, then yeah, we might see Brentford dig their heels in and keep Wissa unless Newcastle up their bid. Clubs aren’t charities — they’ll hold on if the offer doesn’t meet their valuation, even if the player is unhappy. We’ve seen this story play out plenty of times.

My opinion.... If Newcastle really rate Wissa, they’ll need to stretch that bid, maybe closer to £50m. Otherwise Brentford can simply say “no deal.” And if Wissa is serious about leaving, this could drag on into deadline drama.

Between these two players who is best to be at the club and who should be sold out? Hojlund has made it clear that he wants to stay and struggle for his place at the club but that's not the problem of the board because they want him to leave, like is a must for the player to make a move. Joshua Zirkzee too hasn't been up to his best and both players have not done anything special for the club ever since joining the side. To me I feel both players need to leave and find any club that can bring out the best in them because staying at Manchester United won't change anything for them, unless they prefer to sit on the bench till the end of the season.
If it is certain that they will have to sit on the bench for most of the season, then why don't they decide to leave the club? I think these two players have low self-confidence and they probably know that if they leave Manchester United, they may not be able to go to a good club in Europe or even if they go to another club, they may have to sit on the side bench. A player thinks like this about himself when his performance is not good, if the performance of these two footballers is not favorable, then they will have to perform well while they are at Manchester United and come to the manager's attention. If the manager includes these two in the starting eleven and if they can perform well for a whole season at Manchester United, then offers from big teams will definitely come to them next season, but they can grab that opportunity.

Neither of them is good enough, and in a perfect scenario, both of them should leave the club, but if the club wants to keep one of them, then is agree, Hojlund should stay.
Since he won't be the starter in the team, it wouldn't hurt to have a backup striker. Sesko would be the starter.

I have my doubts about Amorim. He is good, but I don't think he's made for a club like United. I don't see any reason why Mount should be playing as a striker when he has Sesko on the bench. Luke Shaw has no business starting a game like that, too. Fenandes behind a natural striker like Sesko would be more productive.

Talk your talk but never say Joshua Zirkzee is not good enough,  you say that then I will be forced to say you're biased lately. As a United fan through and through,  there's no way in hell a sensible Manchester United fan will support and back Rasmus Hojlund staying another season. Joshua Zirkzee is the right name to stay.

It's never how far but how well. We will all be alive to see what happens in the future. Mason Mount is a brilliant player, he might be injury prone, but he's one of the players in this Manchester united squad that understands the demands of the manager. More games to play,  a lot could change ahead.

Better to sell him, Akanji isn't good anymore.

Pep have already prepare to replace his defenders, that's why he sign Khusanov, Ait Nouri, and Nunes. Manchester City no need a big revamp, just replace few defenders and few midfielders, then they're good.

I still agree with the fact that players and teams should honour the contract that they have penned down but sometimes things change along the line and the player might want to leave or club will want to sell a particular player. I believe that is why they have transfer windows. I just hope both player and club settles amicably.

Indeed, sometimes players face such dilemmas. Even when I am offered a contract by a big club, I will consider it from all angles. I will still respect the contract, and of course, if I am a player, I will ask nicely. The club should also not hold players back if they have benefited from them. This is the era of the football industry. So our focus must also change—it’s not just about performance, but financial aspects are also very important. The negative impact on the team will actually be more evident if the team holds onto players who want to leave. For example, performance declines, players play without concentration, and they won’t perform at their best. IMO

Wissa's attitude is disgusting; I can't believe he's acting like this now, forcing for a move to Newcastle while refusing to play and rejecting the club that has given him everything.  It's difficult to sell him after losing Mbuemo this season; it doesn't feel fair to lose their two best players from the previous season in the same transfer window. They're not asking for too much, they're only asking Wissa to stay one more season to give them enough time to sort replacement.

Choosing not to return to the club would only result into heavy fine since he's still under contract.

And don?t you think it?s unfair that the player signed a contract but is now sabotaging it?

The players and their agents are the bane of football, and it will only get worse. I believe that these players are totally at the mercy of these agents who speculate on these guys who then don't respect their contracts and do as they please. I don't like this, it's ruining football.

With such transfers, Galatasaray should become a strong team. Last season they already wanted to achieve better results in the Champions League, but they conceded too many goals. I like that they want to build such a powerful team, since Turkey doesn’t have a representative strong enough to compete in the Champions League at the playoff level. It’s important that from the start there were players like Sané and Osimhen who wanted to play for Galatasaray, and after them players like Ederson and Akanji will be more willing to join.

I don't know why these young stars now choose to behave the way they do. He is not even considerate and doesn't care about the team. Same thing Alexander Isak has put up at Newcastle and Garnacho at Manchester United. It seams there's no good advisers around them. Your loyalty to your club as long as your contract is still running is not negotiable. But I think it has more to it, maybe an internal misunderstanding or so. Newcastle is going for Wissa without also giving Isak a soft landing. Well, these whole thing is all a business and I believe they will sort it out before the end of the window.

Isak has signed 6 years contract with Newcastle, and now he is begging to leave from the club. This clearly shown his true colors about how he can't even put respect to his contract. Cheers for Newcastle to keep stance in not selling him. They can send him to the bench until the end of his contract, then ruin his career.
Just because he's willing to leave, and you said his club should do that. Keep in your mind none is bigger than the club itself.  Tongue

Turkish teams find it difficult to win any European competition that they participate in. I don't think that with the set of players in Galatasaray, they will be able to go far in UCL. Last season, they couldn't make it to the round of 16. However, I am happy that Galatasaray had decided to buy more quality players to improve the team performance. Akanji is a good player of high quality.

Isak's quest for new experience is not a bad  idea at all but Newcastle is not happy about that and are finding it difficult to let him go this season due to his goal scoring and leadership ability for Newcastle last season and also the level of competition in the English premier league now. Letting isak go now will be difficult for Newcastle but they should consider his loyalty, commitment and service for the team since joining from real socidad 2022-2023 season till new.
When he was signed then from real socidad, it was never in there mind to let him go but they did just to respect his interest because irrespective of the contracts agreement between both parties, players opinion and cry are also considered, so Newcastle should consider his own happiness and let him go

Wissa's attitude is disgusting; I can't believe he's acting like this now, forcing for a move to Newcastle while refusing to play and rejecting the club that has given him everything.  It's difficult to sell him after losing Mbuemo this season; it doesn't feel fair to lose their two best players from the previous season in the same transfer window. They're not asking for too much, they're only asking Wissa to stay one more season to give them enough time to sort replacement.

Choosing not to return to the club would only result into heavy fine since he's still under contract.
Well, we can't really tell what might have happened behind closed doors as to why these players are in a hurry to leave their current teams. Isak wants a way out of Newcastle to Liverpool while Wissa wants a way out from Brentford to Newcastle. There might actually be more to these want aways from these players.
