Barcelona are only ready when they are ready this season. They can pull big stunt with performance and trends but when it involves the main business of the day, they're out. I think it's safe to say that Messi is getting a lot of ownership in many of the deals with the american league.

After he stops playing because of age I think he will just enjoy a chair of embassador of many teams like Inter Miami. A lot of money and being able to live in the united states as a king with many fans but also a lot of money and quality of life.

I am not aware of what debt they have in terms of outstanding transfer fees, but I assume you know that it is quite normal to structure these transfer fee payments in a several years lasting schedule. Yes this statement is for debts which some fans thinks that the club can actually pay off immediately but there are debts that you cannot actually decide to pay everything up at once most especially bonuses of players if they most importantly they still belong to the club, it is usually save to allow the expiration of their contract so that debts can be payable at once without further accumulation, this was what was done to the ex players like Messi to clear up like amount of debts owned

It's not surprising me. Messi is 41 years old. Impossible for him to go to the competitive league. So he's staying to keep receiving big bag from his current club to keep his financial sability for his family.

Beside that he can still have opportunity to play last WC in his career as a football player.

He takes the right decision to end his career to keep playing in US.
