I think Real Madrid needs to get rid of a few players and undergo a restructuring. They may have to make some difficult decisions this summer.

I agree with you about the need to restructure fully the team and rebuild it without taking on consideration names but performance. Many players are doing way less than expected while their salary are huge and even asking for more for some of them.
Real Madrid has to find a good coach and stay with him for long time, not just throw him under the bus since the third defeat. This might cost them a season but it will make the team competitive as it used to be.
I heard that Real Madrid are looking for Unai Emery as their new coach. It will be a such good news if true because he made a revolution on a team like Aston Villa. This team is considered as a top one in Premier League.

There seems to be no clear clue from Unai Emery. He was asked by reporters about his future in Madrid. But he chose not to discuss it (Source). Real Madrid seems very keen for him to become their coach at Los Blancos. And he is one of the coaches on Madrid's priority watch list. However Madrid's efforts to secure Emery from Villa are not easy given that his contract is still valid until 2029. It will take a lot of money to secure the coach. I believe Madrid's second choice is Jurgen Klopp, where he is often rumored to be a potential replacement for Madrid's coach. If Madrid's efforts to bring in Unai Emery fail I personally believe Klopp will be pursued as much as possible.

Jurgen Klopp could be a second choice if they can't recruit Unai Emery, but I've heard Jurgen Klopp is asking for freedom from management to manage the team, both in determining which players he wants to recruit and which players will leave.

Jurgen Klopp could also be the best choice to become Real Madrid's manager next season, given his successful tenure at Liverpool. If management doesn't give him that freedom, it might also be difficult as he'll need to make many changes upon taking over team with the current condition where many problems arise previously.

Sterling, another of those players who made a ton of money just because they were considered a wonder boy. I can only see him playing in Turkey or Saudi Arabia at this point because I don't think he is going to accept any salary reduction. And I also think he has no chances of taking part to the next World Cup. Staying in England is just a waste of time for him.
Interesting to see he left without finding a team. I mean I assumed he would leave, that part was known but I didn't really expected him to leave without having a contract with another team. He is a free agent now, and I ma sure he can find a cheap team to go to and play for a while, but he needs to pick clearly.

Because if he picks a terrible team, like go to Saudi Arabia now, at this age, he won't comeback ever, and even there he may not be paid like other players do, because he hasn't played in a while. So he needs to play somewhere he can show himself once more.

Currently, speculation about Klopp is even greater, not only Madrid is the biggest rumor but also Klopp who will return to Liverpool even though the rumors will only be on the coaching staff not the head coach.
But in this case I think it would be a little stiff to let him on the coaching staff especially since we know the closeness that has been running as head coach of course this also provides a pretty interesting thing before so this might also be a rumor that was raised after Sir Kenny Dalgish was rumored to replace Slott.

At the moment it seems that compared to clubs the facts that exist for coaching rumors have become much more interesting than imagined with the condition of some big clubs that are still struggling with new coaches whose conditions are a little difficult to force making this speculation much more interesting.

I feel that this player was over hyped because he didn't play up to expectations compared to the huge amount of money he receives. Any young player that isn't serious with his career because he's in a good club that throws money on him, he will end up not having a club to sign him when his contract ends just like what's happening to Sterling.

Snip
This means Real Madrid will have to spend a lot of money to recruit Unai Emery because he still has a contract with Aston Villa until 2029 and Aston Villa certainly won't want to let Unai Emery leave for a cheap price. Jurgen Klopp could be a second choice if they can't recruit Unai Emery, but I've heard Jurgen Klopp is asking for freedom from management to manage the team, both in determining which players he wants to recruit and which players will leave.
If the freedom that Jürgen Klopp requested had been realized by Real Madrid management when Xabi Alonso was still the coach, perhaps Real Madrid would not have experienced a slump like this. The problem now is that the management is still very stubborn and the players are very difficult to manage by the coach, Xabi Alonso's departure was due to the players never respecting him, and recently they also refused to admit mistakes made on the field when they lost to Benfica, Arbeloa had to admit in front of the media that the defeat was his fault.

Unai Emery is currently the most talked about figure within Real Madrid, but he had a less harmonious relationship with Mbappe when they were both at PSG, it might be a bit difficult for Unay Emery to accept the offer because he currently still feels comfortable at Aston Villa. I see his position as similar to when Xabi Alonso was still managing Leverkusen, despite not having top players in his squad, he was able to improve Aston Villa quality to become a team to be reckoned with.
Maybe if he had stayed longer at Villa Park, he would have achieved success there, but if he had moved to Real Madrid, perhaps his fate would have been the same as Xabi Alonso because some of the players Madrid currently have do not know how to respect and appreciate the coach.

This is good business for sterling and bad business for Chelsea. Any player used by Manchester City and Pep Guardiola don't usually give the same level of performance they give when they were in City.

To prove my point. Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer, compare their statistics in Manchester City and their current club now.

Sterling leaves Chelsea today finally. He didn't even play professional football for a really long time. The last time we saw him was the last season.  Tongue

It is good to see him leaving Chelsea as he wasn't going to be given a chance anymore. He is still 31 years old though. Not that old to continue playing yet. I think a player like him should be able to find a team for himself somewhere.
What really changed? As Chelsea's highest earner, Sterling was very okay sitting on the bench and smiling to the bank every weekend.

Since both parties agreed to terminate the contract, I suspect Chelsea paid him off a certain amount to leave. If Sterling had stayed in Chelsea for his contract to expire in the summer next year, it would have cost Chelsea about 25 million pounds in wages.

After Zidane, Mourinho and Klopp, now Emery is linked to Madrid, I missed this rumor, but one thing when I checked it on the internet, I felt that none of these 4 names could be obtained by Madrid, especially Zidane, Klopp and Mou, for reasons that are clearly circulating from the three, but maybe Emery is an exception, if he is indeed able to accept such great pressure from Madrid, and as far as I know for now Madrid is in no hurry to bring in a coach, at least until the end of the season, after all Arbeloa is currently still quite good as a replacement for Xabi.

That is indeed a huge amount of money paid to someone that has nothing to offer in the team because he ran out of favour and also lost form for a long time now. Before this time sterling use to be a good player filled with talent and skills required to forcefully make a team accept what they dislike which is defeat. Although i will say age also is among the reasons for his lost of consistency and needs to either quit now he is running out of favour in his team. I think that is one of the best decisions Chelsea's board have made so far

I'm very very disappointed with lookman. How can he went from Inter's offer to the Fenerbahce. I was thinking his career would go even further by joining Inter, but he rejected it, and now, he's just a few steps away from joining Fenerbahce. It makes me finally come to a conclusion he puts money as his priority rather than to step up his career.
I know 9m net yearly by Fenerbahce looks so tempting for him. yet he has to think about his the possibility for him to be a superstart if he join in a big club. I don't think joining Fenerbahce will step up to his carer. I think he's just another Osimhen in the making.

I don't believe that you think that endrick will be called back into the Brazilian squad while playing for Lyon, because he is not exceptional for carlo ancelotti to consider picking him and adding him to the squad for this year world cup.
If he was doing exceptional well in Lyon like estavao of Chelsea, I wouldn't have disagree with your sentiment, but the hopes of endrick playing at the world cup is very slime because he is not exceptional, added with the fact of not playing in a top team.
Endrick playing well during loan period with Lyon and already made hattrick last match, I think easily for him get calling back for Brazil national team playing at World Cup 2026. Brazil full talented players on attacking line position but Endrick have performed well with Lyon after few matches playing success scoring four goals of 2 appearances.
Has many time left for Enrick to show his consistent performance around three months later during loan period with Lyon, I believe if can perform well Carlo Ancelotti want to call him back playing for Brazil team at World Cup, he has the difference position with estavao playing as winger for Chelsea and Endrick play well as central forward.

Actually, we don't know what Ademola Lookman is considering. If looking at it from a career perspective, he should be able to choose a better club. In competitions that are not as tough as the top European leagues, player development usually doesn't progress as well as it would in more competitive leagues. Maybe salary is a consideration, but maybe he is also preparing for a future where he might not be as productive as he is now.

I totally agree with you. It seems Lookman is money-driven, and the move to Fenerbahçe seems retrogressive to me. Atletico Madrid is also keen on his signature and there is the possibility that the deal could be hijacked. I prefer he goes to Atletico Madrid because I would like to see him play in a top club.

Assumptions and  conclusions are not things we should be doing.

Lookman never blocked or rejected Inter Milan's offer. Meanwhile, Atalanta blocked that transfer from happening as they never wanted him playing for another Italian league side. And if he was to play for another Italian side, they set a fixed price they must pay for Ademola Lookman to leave. You are only judging him now, he is himself and not chasing for a higher raise. And what is wrong with Osimhen asking f9r a big salary, he is worth it and more.

Turkish clubs obsession with signing players with high transfer fees and high salaries shows no sign of abating. Lookman is not a player worth the salary he is being paid. Paying him 9 million a year is completely insane. Despite spending so much money over the years, these clubs are failing to achieve success in UEFA competitions. The problem isn't expensive transfers; the problem is understanding the game and discipline. Fenerbahçe is signing Lookman with big dreams, but if those dreams don't come true, even bigger problems will arise. Expensive transfers also disrupt the internal balance of the team.

It is good to see him leaving Chelsea as he wasn't going to be given a chance anymore. He is still 31 years old though. Not that old to continue playing yet. I think a player like him should be able to find a team for himself somewhere.
I think Sterling will find a new club quite quickly, because a player of his level, especially as a free agent, will be in very high demand. I’ve already seen that Tottenham and Napoli are interested in him, but Sterling is not rushing into making a decision. He wants to carefully weigh all the offers and choose the best option for himself. I also think it’s a good thing that he’s leaving Chelsea, because he didn’t get enough playing time there and was clearly undervalued at the club.

Being 31 years old is still not bad. I wouldn't call him that old yet. Tottenham is acting according to Thomas Frank as it seems but actually we don't even know if he will be permanent there before anything else.  Tongue

Money is definitely not a problem for Madrid if they are really serious about bringing Unai Emery. The main problem is with the coach. Emery task in Madrid will be much heavier, greater pressure, higher demands, and risk of failure. The situation was very different at Aston Villa. There Emery worked without the burden of instant demands about trophies. Even without a title, he will not immediately be under pressure. While in Madrid, one season without a trophy is enough to make a coach considered a failure.

I guess you should not bought sterling rumor seriously. It's a just a part of the laziness of journalism these days. None is gonna pay 31 years old 325k weekly. Chelsea should be the last team who gave him such big amounts of salary. Just because Spurs needs an attacker, then they linked them to the finished sterling with non sense salary.

I don't think Thomas Frank is dumb enough to sign a washed player. If Thomas frank has not yet lost his brain, he would not never tell board to do that. Unless, Thomas Frank is keen to ending his job way faster, then he can sign him.

So i rated Sterling to to Spurs is just impossible to happen.
