I would say this deal was a fast one from Liverpool because Chelsea was the team that was interested in this player all through the Winter Transfer window negotiating a deal, before Liverpool came late minutes to pull a plug and took over the negotiations and signed the player, I believe the player rejected Chelsea and chooses to sigh for Liverpool, Chelsea fan would be very disappointed for loosing such a talented player to Liverpool, Chelsea fans have to be fuming now.

I don't think he has been amazing at Strasbourg so far despite playing for 90 minutes in so many games either. He is young of course (20).

He is a player with great skills. If Chelsea lets him go, it would be like throwing away a gem. Any team would be willing to accept him and keep an eye on him, even if they are put off by his high price tag. For teams with good finances, a price tag that we consider high is not an obstacle for teams that are willing to pay it.
Manchester United's management might not be willing to spend a large sum of money on Palmer given their current situation. And if that were to happen, Chelsea would have to watch as Cole Palmer takes the field in Manchester United's red jersey.

I get your point and it marvels me that Liverpool made this kind of deal, when they were faced with a cheaper deal in Marc Guehi. I heard someone say they can't pay Crystal Palace £20m for a player that his contract is due to expire in 6 months time. Like what does that really matter, when you are getting a quality player. This is a panic buy and it would have been even better for them if the player moved to Anfield this window, so they can monitor him on their own than keeping him on loan after paying such an amount, when it's obvious that the club needed a helping hand in their defence. It's a poor deal from Liverpool.

Man City's movement in this transfer window is considered quite fast as they managed to bring in two players to complement the team's strengths. It's natural for Man City to dominate Arsenal at the end of the season as their squad depth is much better than Arsenal's. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens as Arsenal have always failed to maintain consistency, but I hope Arsenal can improve significantly this season and become Premier League champions.

Arsenal also has a chance to win a trophy this season, even though the points gap with Man City is getting closer. Well I understand your opinion, but the way you’re thinking is quite different from the way Micheal Edward’s and Richard Hughes is thinking, and I absolutely understand how they process their thoughts, injury is normal with footballers and athletes, it’s a deal that was agreed for him to move to Liverpool during the summer, every club would definitely want to start looking at a young defender for the long term.

I personally rate this transfer is a great signing, considering his statistics and performances for Rennes, you should understand that players are no longer cheap anymore, Liverpool doesn’t need Guehi for experience, he was only needed for more squad depth, and Liverpool not signing Guehi was because they felt it didn’t present a good market opportunity for a player who have less than 6 months in his contract who you can actually get for free in the summer and it would’ve presented a panic buy that makes you pay ridiculous wage amount and Crystal Palace proving to be difficult in negotiations in the summer, talking about Van de Ven, there is no way Tottenham will allow the player to leave in January, how do you promise him game time when you have Van Dijk and Konate playing week in week out, talking about Bastoni can Liverpool guarantee him game time, when you have Van Dijk and Konate always playing together, this players that you have mentioned I think Chelsea needed them the most because their defense lacks experience, Bastoni or Guehi would’ve suited there inexperience defensive setup.

The decision to go for a younger defender, is because you can integrate them into the squad gradually, when you buy a big name defender you have to promise him game time and he has to always be playing regularly, so this defender you have mentioned can they sit on the bench ?

Chelsea lost the bid for Jeremy Jacquet and the coach thinks it's better to use their own player for a long term approach. Jérémy Jacquet good signing for Liverpool really need with new central back but the agreement deal reach at summer transfer window or Liverpool get him for next season begin. Actually Liverpool really need new CB right now how inconsistency performance from CB conceded many goals every games and signing new CB give many option for Arne Slot.
I worry with Jérémy Jacquet possibility injury or not because Rennes can play him until the end of this season, wish Liverpool can get him without injury for next season and have many back up position at central back.

Liverpool finally recognized their weaknesses, which is why they brought in a center-back. Arne Slot has complained since his first season in charge that Liverpool lacked quality center-backs. I hope Liverpool extend Ibrahima Konate's contract even though they've already signed Jeremy Jacquet, as they lack a quality backup center-back.

I don't blame Milan for their decision, Crystal Palace shouldn't expect that they'll sign him when he doesn't met their expectations medically cause they'll still be the ones to settle his medical bills after paying for his signature, well he's still an important player for Crystal Palace so if the deal doesn't work he can still remain in the club and retain his position as their top striker.

Boniface would be a good player if he didn't have injury problems, but he has a nearly chronic injury. His knee problem will keep him out of action for a long time. That's why Milan made the right decision by canceling the transfer. Now, seeing the news that he won't be able to play in the long term, we see how right their decision was. Health is a very important factor for Milan. They don't want to sign a player with health problems, and I think that's a very good decision.
