Real Madrid and Barcelona are very interesting clubs because despite having a lot in common (biggest teams in Spain) they operate in completely opposite ways. If we talk about the academy there is no doubt, Barcelona win hands down; financially speaking Real Madrid make a ton of money each year despite having a lot of high-salary players on their paybook.

Barcelona are blessed because they can rely on all these players coming from the academy (and, of course, kudos to them, they are great at doing this job) because if it wasn't for them they would be screwed because they would have to buy a bunch of players every year.

You are right, Barcelona is in deed blessed because they have good academy players that are doing very well and now turning into world class players, if not for this academy players Barcelona would have been in a very bad form because they don’t have the finance to sign in players from another club, look at Rashford do you know that Barcelona are still asking that Manchester United should reduce the price of signing him, the signing money is 30 million and if they can be finding it difficult to pay this amount of money for a player then believe me they would have been in a big mess if not for the wonderful academy players they have.

I see much logic in this move because Antonio griezman is no longer a young player, he is trying to secure the bag/money before his retirement. I wouldn't say that ademola lookman is his direct replacement because they are very efficient and effective when playing together, so I don't see ademola lookman as his replacement. Van De Ven is a very good defender especially when he's attacking so I'm not surprised that a lot of clubs wants to sign him from Tottenham. Real Madrid I think will be a better option for Micky Van De Ven. I won't be surprised cause there are chances that they could get relegated and if it happens then most of their big players would be forced to leave to team in a better league.  I disagree with you saying that United doesn't have good defenders, Maguire is at his best, De ligt is another good defender and Martinez is top class, not to talk of Yoro and Heaven that are good young talents, however Martinez is injury prone and United might want to move on from Maguire so it won't be a bad idea to go for De Veen although it would be tougher if Real Madrid steps in.

Now playing in a big club until you are 35-36 years old is totally normal. I feel like I saw Ronaldinho playing for ages but in reality he left Barcelona when he was only 28 years old, and when he left AC Milan (and European football) he was only 31 years old. We are talking 15 years ago and so many things changed in the meantime. Griezmann is 35 years old, it's a good age to move to the MLS.

I could also mention that David Beckham moved to the MLS in 2007, and he was only 32 years old at the time, now these players usually join the MLS teams way later than that, usually when they are 34-36.

Don't get me wrong, he is not a bad player, but he is not an €80 million player, talk more €100 million. The salary increase is very fair and enough to keep Yamal in the club i like that Barcelona are doing everything possible to secure their important players from other clubs since they have financial issues to sign more good players.

I honestly don't see Yamal getting a raise as a viable option. I think he's been just an average player, he hasn't made much of a difference However, he's a star for Barcelona I don't like his playing style; it's not very compatible with what I like in a football player. But he plays well and scores goals I think Vitinha is much better than him, If they lose Vitinha, the team could really fall apart.

Retirement age hasn't changed much for over 20 years until now. Players have retired even earlier or move to lower league for various reasons for the past few years also.

I feel like all these are individual preference and in fact currently age restriction for top teams is less stricter now than those years and this is the reason you might be thinking that many older players are playing for big league division even after getting to 31+, using Salah stay at Liverpool as an example. While clubs might have restriction we can also see after these players leave those top clubs and move to a smaller league or teams they still do well in international competitions seeing their Nation performing well or lifting a trophy.

The whole Messi story playing for Barcelona and earning an extreme high amount seems like a fair agreement, this is a balance trade besides they had the chance to let him go earlier but, still retain him because of his name secondly he won major trophies for the club.
This club lack a good management plan, probably they spent so much money building the football academy reason why they don’t bother making transfer.
