When managers leave to a new club, they often try to buy their best players from their previous club. Pep was bound to leave at some point and I think City have been preparing for a post Pep era. It will be interesting to see who they get to replace him, would it be Maresca, Arteta, or Kompany?

I always assumed if Pep was leaving Manchester City, it would be to manage a national team. If Pep still has interest in managing club football, he would probably go a league where he can build a super squad and farm titles.

Vincent Kompany doing just fine with Bayern Munich and I do not see no reason why he should leave the club for Manchester City, for Mikel Arteta, it is a no no, he will attempt to win the Premier League Competition again after they loft it this season, Mikel Arteta goes nowhere. Enzo Maresca might just be the right name and person, they have had discussions ongoing already even right before he got sacked. That should be your perspective and it's fine, lol.

I'm sure they'll pick him as an option to replace Pep Guardiola. Though there's sense in what you're saying but he's had a good achievement with Bayern Munich so there's no harm going to Manchester City where he'll still be provided with everything Bayern Munich has provided for him to succeed and more.
Do no forget that he's had an experience as a player in the EPL and a season as a  manager, even though he wasn't really successful as a manager there due to the club he managed but he'll do better with Manchester City. Enzo Maresca is another good option, Chelsea would really regret allowing him to leave if he becomes the manager of Manchester City. However wasn't sacked, he resigned.

Pep Guardiola's time is long overdue and he should take a bow after this season so that Manchester City can experience a different manager and a new style of play, Pep Guardiola has won it all for the Manchester City team if they decide to replace him they have to also seek his opinion to know the best person he would suggest for them to sign as his replacement. For now you can't tell if Pep Guardiola is going to take another offer as a manager of a club in a different league but if he decides to take up an offer in the national team then the country should be happy because Pep Guardiola is a good coach.

Guardiola certainly won't leave for another club, he'll likely retire. The places where titles are guaranteed and the club has a monstrous advantage over other rivals are all taken (currently, those are Bayern Munich and PSG, where everyone is very happy with the current coaches), and he's not used to working honestly. You are judging a legend because of what he has done in just last season and this season. I hope you know that this year make it 10 years if Guardiola with Manchester City, that's 10 years and those periods, he won 7 Premier league, that's 70% winning out of 100 and you think they have to sack him? Lol. There is nobody that will justify his stay until the contract expires. There is at least one more season in his contract before he leave but I'm sure he will stay.

I'm not impressed with their performance this season but what is happening to Manchester City right now has happened to other great teams before. Look at how Manchester United suffer since the day Ronaldo left, I haven't seen clubs in the Premier league that suffer like the way Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are doing now. Manchester united is even at recovery mode now, Chelsea are the teams that are suffering now after having good season last year.

Bayern Munich is a big club. In the Bundesliga, Vincent Kompany has no competitor for the league title. So, I do not see any reason why he should leave for Manchester City. Especially in these recent times, when Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United will be huge competitors for the Premier League title.

One possible reason is the challenge. If Kompany wanted a higher challenge, he might leave, but not right now, as I think he needs to deliver the UCL title for Bayern first. But if he wants comfort without the pressure of the league, Bayern is the best place for him.
BTW, besides Kompany and Maresca, Xabi Alonso is on Man City shortlist for Pep successor. I don't think he a bad choice either. But Maresca is indeed the strongest candidate to replace Pep, according to some recent media reports.

Vincent Kompany extended his contract with Bayern Munich in the beginning of the season until 2029 and if Manchester City will try to get him, the transfer fee will be huge. It is reported that the transfer fee will be more than €11.5m which is important for a coach. This sum will increase even more in case of victories of Bayern Munich in Champions League among the other titles.
Vincent Kompany is seeing his name rising very fast thanks to Bayern Munich. He has to take lessons from Xabi Alonso about moving to a top team outside of Bundesliga.

Release clauses in England aren't much of a deal like those in Spain. It's very likely that Haaland's release clause may be triggered for not more than 150M euros, unlike in Spain, where it can stretch up to even 1 billion  Grin

It's not impossible for Haaland to leave Manchester City if he wants out and a club comes with, let's say, 200M to 250M euros. Real Madrid or PSG on a crazy day can create that offer if you remember the Mbappe saga.
In Spain, the release clause is very expensive and does not make sense, any team will not be able to redeem the release clause at €1 billion and that is what expensive players like this Lamine Yamal, Vinicius, Mbappe how crazy the club does not want to release them.

In the past, Real Madrid was so brave to bid for Mbappe above 150 million, and finally got it for free even though his salary was the highest.
Haaland is likely to go to Real Madrid because this team is usually the favorite club of all players who want to play there.
In Spain the teams must comply with the Spanish Federation rules, and for some reason they came up with the idea that every player must have a price, you can't simply say that it's not for sale. Years and years ago these prices were more or less acceptable but after Neymar's case, when PSG paid the 222 million euros clause, everybody got scared because no amount of money could be enough to prevent a player from leaving, so now even a mediocre player has a clause that makes no sense.

I don’t think Kompany has anything to learn from Alonso, because Kompany’s achievements can already be considered more significant. Alonso has shown that his work outside of Bayer hasn’t been as outstanding as expected. There are rumors that Alonso could become the manager of Liverpool, but I think Liverpool are in a poor state right now, and he wouldn’t achieve anything special there either. As for Kompany, I don’t see any reason for him to leave Bayern for any other club, even if it were City, because Bayern are currently in great form, and he has built this team. In his place, I would definitely stay at Bayern.

I heard the latest rumor that a club from Qatar, the same club he used to play for, has made a serious approach to bring him in as a coach. Maybe Pep would be a good fit there because the pressure of the league is not as heavy as the Premier League or other big leagues, so it could be said that his job would not be too heavy but he would still get full support in terms of finances. Or a team from Saudi might be a good choice,  because the main requirement is strong financial support and those leagues do not lack that.

Enzo Maresca might just be the right name and person, they have had discussions ongoing already even right before he got sacked. That should be your perspective and it's fine, lol.

Tottenham can get out of this shitty situation with time when they approach the problem technically, injuries can actually distabilize and reduce the performance of a team since it's unpredictable to which players it would happen to. So It's not what Tottenham can do overnight and start getting results immediately, it's going to take a few seasons to get the team strong with depth quality and coach that can deliver with the material of players that would make the team and bring Tottenham back to great form.

Tottenham's next 5 fixtures, excluding Atletico Madrid.

April 1, vs. Sunderland
April 8, vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
April 15, vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
April 22, vs. Manchester United
May 1, vs. Bournemouth

How many points do you think they can get from this game? West Ham, battling against relegation alongside Tottenham, is in great form. If care is not taken, Tottenham cannot come out of this shitty situation. By the end of the season, we will be surprised by the outcome.
Tottenham do have no other business in the league than how they can fight their way out of the relegation that they're just a step into. Considering their opponents it's a very dicey situation but if Tottenham can just try to win most of this games and draw some with no losing of a single game in the entire 5, then it's likely they can get out of relegation and focus on building the team in the next season.

The premier League is a highly competitive league and if I were to be kompany staying at Bayern Munich and growing in momentum should be the ultimate goal since as you said the German bundes Liga doesn't really have that much competition compared to the premier League and trust the competition can actually crack coaches as we have seen this happening countless times in the premier League.

Nothing will stop Tottenham from escaping relegation. Did you watch Tottenham against Nottingham Forest today? Tottenham is currently the worst team in the Premier League. Nottingham Forest defeated Tottenham at their beautiful stadium without a single response from Tottenham. The players were clueless about the ball. If they are going for relegation, a good club should buy Micky Van De Van, Romero out of that club, and the rest can sink with Tottenham in the championship.

Imagine Guardiola at Newcastle, Chelsea, or Atlético. It's simply ridiculous, they don't have €2 billion for transfers and lawyers Grin
Yeah obviously currently there is no team here  who can afford Pep Guardiola like if we look at the coaches wages then probably Pep Guardiola is one of the most and highest salary earners, and thus far if we look at team standards, then there no club free here to sign him like big clubs already have good coach and there is not big club remaining to offer Pep Guardiola or sign him. So that's why it would be quite hard for him to scout a free slot or leave the current club I mean Manchester City.

Besides this if Manchester City didn't extend his contact like they didn't want him to continue here more due to his poor quality of performance then probably Pep Guardiola will legy the team. But here is the problem which spot will be the next like where he try to continue his coaching career? I think Saudi Arabia will be possible option because they offers big money.

Not all players would want to return just like that, we have seen most of them go elsewhere and become comfortable there due to the love they have experienced. Bayern Munich isn’t any little club that we will would say he will want to ditch and come to the premier league for no reason, not that he has won enough in the Bundesliga again to say he would want to explore more adventures. So I agree with Oluwa-btc that he will be staying put at the Bundesliga for now.

I don’t understand what made Maresca departure to be that bad, it was actually a harsh decision by the Chelsea board which is currently costing them right now and we all also read that Manchester city had contacts with him even before that sack and many even linked his sacking to the incident, that means that Manchester city have been long term admirers since then and with options looking short he could be their next manager. Tactical he is definitely got that to be there because in tough games we saw how he made Chelsea challenge during his time there. He is my pick too

I agree that Guardiola's time at Manchester City has come to an end, just because they won a final today against Arsenal the season has been pretty disappointing until now. Technically they still can win the Premier League title, that would change everything, but anyway I don't see the same team we saw until a few years ago: they changed many players but they haven't been able to properly replace a player like De Bruyne for example.

While three years ago Manchester City only focused on having a squad for the European Champions League and consequently they were strong in the Premier League, today I don't know how they plan their squad. The only thing I see is that they've been disastrous in their signings, and if Pep Guardiola leaves Manchester City, the team might suffer the same fate as Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
City have finally reached a higher level or recovered their form because since winning the Champions League, they haven't done anything in either the Premier League or the following Champions League. It was as if their magic had run out. Now, they have an opportunity because they are 9 points behind Arsenal, and it's a fact that things could go their way if Arsenal slip up. If that happens, I'm sure City will catch them; there's no doubt about it.

Atletico has been submitting €35m bid for Ederson. I think it's a worthy price for a midfielder who has a very high work rate on the pitch. However, Atalanta is still holding it to ensure Atletico can raise its offer close to the €40m. I rated Ederson is a very good midfielder.
He controbuted a lot to the Atalanta's performance. Many underestimate him, but he often showed undercover work rate. He's often stolen the balls. He's also often doing good placement and he has good passes.

Beisde that he's also good in the defensive work. He's moving up and down to help his club. So it will be so good if Atletico can get someone like him. I believe he will fit Atletico well.
If Atletico can secure him for €35m. It can be considered as a bargain deal. Yet, i'm still doubting Atalanta is keen to release him unless Atletico raises their offer.

I'm not as sure as you are because they're far from the Manchester City of previous years. We've seen a consistent Manchester City that played well in every game before; this year the situation is worse. We're also seeing a lot of mistakes from their defenders. This is a major problem for Manchester City. Teams like Manchester City have to choose their defenders very carefully, otherwise one mistake can cost them the championship.
