If I’m honest, I like Harry Maguire as a player; he’s a rock-solid centre-back who takes certain risks with man-marking where others prefer zonal marking to avoid tackles. He’s excellent in the air and physically imposing; in my opinion, they’re right to renew his contract.

Harry Maguire is a player with nerves of steel,  as there was a time when he played terribly and underperformed , but that didn’t  discourage him or make him run away from his place. In my opinion, Manchester United should not extend Harry Maguire's contract because he is already 33 years old. I don't know if this is true but if it is then i think Real Madrid are now starting to think in the right direction now, they are now able to identify positions they are having problems and looking to solve it. There are several options of players they can actually go for to bring life to that position but Olise is also one of them and he is a very good option, he will help the team in several ways.

I don't know why people think Bayern Munich will easily let go of such players like Olise after spending money to sign him. Everyone is now aware of Olise's qualities so I don't think Bayern. I was expecting a capital NO from Bayern team since I saw the rumors flying about Real Madrid’s interest on signing Michel Olise, I know that they are not going to let him leave because it’s just one season with Bayern Munich and Liverpool is already regretting, I will expect him to stay for more than two more seasons with Bayern Munich before they let him go because he is among the best wingers in world of football now.

Real Madrid needs to be very serious to get more players in the summer, they really need strengthen their team because they are performing inconsistent and very poor compared to their standard this season, so they need to make sure they buy more players to compete better next season.

I don't think any player plays bad on purpose because the consequences are not really pleasant. Fans are mad at you, you are probably mad at yourself and you are a public figure and fans can be nasty.

I get the problem about the long duration contracts and I never understood why these contracts are not far more performance based. I think it is because of the competition. If a player is confronted with a heavily performance based contact, he goes to the next club and that club will offer him less performance based payment. As a result all clubs are forced to offer high base salaries and a lesser share of performance based salary.

Sometimes you get the felling that players exploit that and don't care when they play awful. They take the money and know it doesn't matter eventually. But I think that is not the majority of players. Most of them really want to play and show their best, but maybe those performance fluctuations aren't as simple as we think. To be honest many of us can't be at 100% 365 days a year and the same should be allowed for a football player. If everyone had to be Messi or Ronaldo during their prime time, I think you could say good night to the world.
