@SkySportsNews
BREAKING: Newcastle have rejected an offer from Tottenham Hotspur of around £80m for Sandro Tonali 🚨
https://x.com/skysportsnews/status/2068425591661973931

Spurs are very busy in the market so far, they seem determined not to have another terrible season.
Wow, that’s a fantastic offer, in my opinion. But for some reason, Newcastle is still turning down £80 for Tonali. Does Newcastle think Tonali is worth £100? I don’t think Tottenham will raise their offer to £100 for Tonali. Tottenham is indeed overhauling its squad, so they need some good players to avoid another bad season. So, given that Newcastle has rejected such a substantial offer, I’m sure Tottenham will look for other options.
I am very surprised that Tottenham are willing to pay such an amount of money for a player that is not worth that amount, but when you are in a desperate state as they are, they might do the unthinkable and signed Tonali for £100M when it's very clear that he is not worth the amount.

As you have said, they need to start looking for other options because that's the best thing they should do at this point, since it's very clear that even £80m is pure exploitation, talk less of £100m that is way too much.

What kind of desperation will even make Tottenham to make £80 million bid for Sandro Tonali. I looked at his stats for Newcastle last season and saw that he didn't score a single goal after 35 appearances so what made him so special that Newcastle rejected the bid. I know that Tottenham is keen on strengthening their squad so that they don't have same experience that they've had for 2 consecutive seasons where they almost got relegated but they should be mindful of the kind of players they want to sign to the squad so that they don't make more mistakes while trying to remedy the situation of the team. Sandro Tonali is not even worth £80 million so Tottenham should look for another capable midfielder that they can count on.

I just don't understand this Liverpool's obsession with extremely high valued players, how can they falk for this obvious trap, especially from Liepzig, I don't trust all this hyped up Liepzig players. That's how Liepzig started this same campaign with Benjamin Sesko and then they drop below value performance, hope this is different for Yan's case

I'd also like to understand how the Liverpool management's brain works when the transfer window opens. They just make mistake after mistake with new signings and then blame the manager. I'm starting to think it's not the managers who make these signings; they want to waste money on signings that won't help the team. Next season, which starts in August, we'll see Liverpool's poor performance. They offered €100 million, thankfully Leipzig rejected the offer, and I wouldn't be shocked if Liverpool increased that amount to something even more absurd.

I don't even know how they even have the mind to negotiate such terms with teams like Liepzig, I don't thing Liverpool will push through with the deal because they can't make back to back signings like Wirtz without some financial constraints and we need to understand that Konate just left the squad so they will be looking to get a replacement CB and even with Mohammed Salahs move

I think, they are spending blindly if not, they wouldn't go such huge amount of money to sign one player. The funny thing is that Leipzig is even forming for them. Leipzig knows that Liverpool will top up the money which is why they said that Diamonde price is worth that if Wirtz. Liverpool don't need to throw away money any how.

Liverpool is certainly well known for splashing the cash , and it turns out the results haven’t lived up to what they’ve spent (so those expensive players have simply turned out to be a waste of signing). Let’s just mention Darwin Nunez, and then there’s Florian Wirtz and Isak , and perhaps Liverpool will do the same with Yan Diomande. He is certainly still young and does seem to have real talent , but 100 million euros is an excessive price to pay

Liverpool does need a player to fill Salah’s position , but with a budget of 100 million, they should have plenty of options , so they shouldn’t just have their sights set on Yan Diomande

I don’t think he worth to be valued above €100m but I don’t know what they see. Plus most of these players from Bundesliga don’t usually perform that well in the premier league, they have seen how Florian Writz has ended, he is yet to give them that performance that worth the money they signed him for and now they are going for another player in that same league.
I understand that they need wingers to replace Moh Sallah and some players that has left the team, but waiting till after World Cup can be of help because they can see young talents that can be of help and be cheaper.

I heard the news of Ronaldinho coming out of retirement to sign a contract with an Italian team Ravenna, and I was surprised because I don't know what he's going to offer Ravenna since he's 46 years old. Ronaldinho was a good player during his youthful age as a professional footballer, he made a lot of people to fall in love with football, but I don't think it will be enjoyable to watch him because he is weak, he can't play for so many minutes, and there's a high chance he will be falling in the midfield because of fierce challenge from his opponents, Ronaldinho would have remain retired rather than coming out of retirement. Ronaldinho didn't missed the competition, I think he came out of retirement because of money.

I was a bit surprised to read the news that Ronaldinho would reportedly join Italian Serie C club Ravenna FC. However, after reading the full story, he's joining as an investor and shareholder. While Ronaldinho will be officially registered with the club his role is more symbolic, supporting marketing and development projects rather than a return to regular playing.

So, I think this is just a gimmick. As an investor, he'll naturally leverage his popularity for commercial purposes. He's essentially inactive, but he'll be a central figure in the promotion. I also think this is a smart move to boost Ravenna FC reputation, as seeing Ronaldinho back on the pitch seems unlikely given he's already 46 years old.

I was bit surprised by the news, I was expecting it to be lies and clickbait from people but since it turn out that he was an investor to the club, I still think that news that was spread to join Ravenna FC was deliberately announced so they can get traffic to read their news and the usual likes on social media. I don't know how financial standard Ronaldinho is right now but it will be so disrespectful for him to lose his dignity and be chasing football now.

We have some mate that are not upto him that have their own club and one thing about this clubs is that even if you invest on them, it doesn't guarantee the success of the club. The investment migjt turn bad or he may not even make that significant money like he expected. He might even be the face of the club because I don't even know about the club if not for today, that's how you know that Ronaldinho isn't just popular, he is very influential.

Now way...!!!
Is this is true you are just kidding....

I don't know why he will return to professional football at his old age. I hearing this for the first time like I never see a player who return to football after a retirement. I think they will sign contract with him on purpose like collaboration or promotion. To be honest this sounds really awkward like how a club will approach such players who have not a playing capacity due to old age.

Besides that if we talked about this news then probably I never seen such news like where they were saying that we will sign again Ronaldinho. So I think you just fooling us bcz you didn't put a source or maybe you didn't understand the real reason behind this contract. Maybe they just sign the contract with him on promotion base or collaboration.

I'm thinking the same thing too. The value placed on him is far too much for him and Leipzig is just demanding for too much but it seems Liverpool are desperate that's why they are over paying.
I heard Leipzig rejected an offer of 100 million from Liverpool and asked them to bring more. It's surprising that Liverpool want to still submit a bid higher than 100 million. Maybe Liverpool has not learned a lesson from paying high money for players from Bundesliga. Diomadé might have the talent but so did Wirtz and he is still struggling to find form in EPL.
Diomadé is actually not a bad player but the price is just too much and it will end up making the players loose confidence in the quest to prove themselves.

I guess Liverpool will acquire him close to the what they paid to acquire Wirtz in the past. Yan Diomande is basically Wirtz 2.0. It's weird to see Liverpool wanted him because of his performance in WC. Meanwhile, his performance is not guarantee him to perform in EPL.
Liverpool will be once again scammed by Bundesliga club. 120m - 130m for average winger in Bundesliga is a criminal.

I would say Yan Diomande wasn’t actually scouted or Liverpool started showing interest because of his World Cup performance rather it’s actually has been a very long time interest, in fact I think the first bid by Liverpool for him was even before his World Cup game, this was when it was clearly stated that the player is valued above that 100m mark which was the Liverpool value for him.

Yes Liverpool are heavily looking for very good right winger for the first time since Salah came into the club and this is because his departure leaves that role totally empty for now, with what Diomande has showcased he is certainly a great winger at the Bundesliga but not a goal scoring winger like Salah so Liverpool needs to look into this. While i wouldn’t say they shouldn’t sign players from Bundesliga because of the last transfers from there, but I will clearly say that I don’t understand why Liverpool all of recent are throwing this much of a money around because personally I think Liverpool should have a second thought about this ridiculous amount for any of this winger now

@EL MOHA you are correct in sense that this interest has been around for long time, October tracking meant World Cup was just the spark that was needed. Price increase is big story however. It is worth noting that Leipzig bought him last summer, for £18m, and have now set their price at €130m. Profit is huge, one good Bundesliga season for that is amazing, no matter how good he is. That is fair comparison with Salah too. Diomande is not goal machine like Salah was, he is not a winger. He is quite creative wide player and Liverpool are replacing 25 goals plus a season with him, who scored 13 in his first campaign. It has to be financially workable as it costs €115m plus wages. It would be huge amount of pressure on 19 year old at Anfield coming straight after Salah leaves but it is much of talent.

But probably the main reason for that is his being a part of the World Cup now and he is performing quite well at the same time.
I'm more surprised at Liverpool's €100M bid for someone who just had his breakthrough season [I just watched a bunch of highlights and even though those were supposed to be the good bits, I wasn't impressed (he's still young, so there's plenty of room for improvement, but I think a move to the EPL will hinder his potential growth)].

In fact, it is completely logical to reject the offer of 100 million plus from Leipzig. Because now he is performing awesome in World Cup. Right now his market value is at its peak. In fact during the tournament clubs retain players in the hope of bigger bids. I think Liverpool might have to offer 120 million plus. And if they can't maybe they have to come back. I think if Leipzig can keep him for one more season, it will be the best business for them

With how terrible that Inter Milan squad is after the departure of Jordi Alba and midfield general in Sergi Basquet, it's an excellent move for Inter Milan to pick Casemiro because that guy is on form, honestly I agree that he can still dominate in the top flight European league but still Inter Milan is not too bad and he is going to enjoy his stay with Messi
Inter Milan or Inter Miami?  Grin
For an old player like Casemiro there are not many options that can be taken because there are only 2 Clubs in Saudi Arabia or go to MLS. And in quality Inter Miami is a safe choice, not with heavy competition so Casemiro performance can provide a little help for the club.

Hmm that would be Inter Miami, not Milan. I also think a move to MLS is very smart retirement move for Casemiroat this stage of his career. Now he can earn much better money with Messi under less pressure. But whatever happens Man U will need a solid replacement in midfield area before the window closes

Liverpool seems really determined!  Smiley  Leipzig really surprised me at first by turning down an enormous offer like 100 million euros.

But probably the main reason for that is his being a part of the World Cup now and he is performing quite well at the same time.

But how much more will Liverpool offer? I assume around 110-120 million...

According Fabrizo, he said that Liverpool are set to offer another bid over 100 million to sign Yan Diamande and to be honest it is not a bad idea because some people and Liverpool fans are saying that he did not worth that amount after his performance against Germany, we can not use one game performance to judge a player, he has been having a good season and his first game in the World Cup shows that he worth the amount Leipzig is ask for and with the way the players are too expensive this transfer window shows that he worth the price.

There are many players that are not better than him and worth 80 million to 90 million euros and no one is talking about them, Diomande is a attacker who is good in 1v1 and knows how to score goals, he is just 19 years old which means he can give Liverpool more than 10 years service in the club, signing him will be a good sign because no any good attackers in the market and many top teams are waiting for Liverpool to back off so that they will sign the player.

I see people complain about Wirtz and wonder how fast they have forgotten about Isak and his €125 million signing and his current performance at Liverpool. Since his arrival at Liverpool he has 4 G/A in 14 matches and has being an injury prone player since the start of his season at Liverpool.

Compared to Wirtz,  he has 12 G/A in all competition which might not be the best performance but he was a good addition to the Liverpool team. For his first season at Liverpool,  it should not be considered a bad start though many may compare that to his transfer fee and underrate his performance. We still have more seasons ahead so we could watch out for his future performance and not finalize just yet.

I think so too. When Liverpool management targets a player, they are ready to spend a lot of money. Liverpool has made a bid of  100 million for Diomande. But leipzig is  not interested in selling him at this price. Diomande also wants to leave leipzig. Liverpool management bought wirtz at a very  high price. But he was not able to perform as well as expected in the premier league. He was able to score only  5 goals and 3 assists in the entire season. I do not  know if Diomande  will be suitable for liverpool's match strategy. But if they  have to buy Diomande for 150  million, it does not seem like liverpool will benefit. This is a very big  amount.

Wirtz is said to be another target for Chelsea... If the source is telling the truth it really seems like Xabi Alonso is targeting to reunite with some of his players from Leverkusen.

Another rumour is Alejandro Grimaldo for example. After Cucurella's departure he would really be a great choice for Chelsea. He is a great offensive back.

I don't think Chelsea has any budget problem as long as they abide by financial fair-play.

Based on the rumor from several top media, RB Leipzig as Yan Diomande club already rejecting offer from Liverpool raise up 100 million euro and I think its crazy offering if want to raise up offer until 120 to 130 million euro. Indeed performing well for RB Leipzig in this season but offering above 100 million euro too expensive and can't believing RB Leipzig rejected previous offer from Liverpool who serious get his sign to replace Mohamad Salah position.

Current performance of Yan Diomande not really impressive yet in the World Cup 2026 during two matches played for Ivory Coast he not scoring one goal yet and I think 100 million euro is too expensive fees transfer offering by Liverpool. I worry Liverpool won't not negotiation for reach agreement deal if RB Leipzig increasing fees transfer until 120 to 130 million euro.

It would be good if the rumors come true, Alonso really knows how to bring out the best potential of this player, so that it becomes one of the players who really benefits Leverkusen. At Liverpool Writz has struggled so far and is sometimes placed on the left wing which is not his most comfortable place, the problem is the price, Liverpool bought more than 100 million pounds, Chelsea needs to spend maybe 120 million to get him or even more.

Tottenham is gonna signing 8 players in total to support De Zerbi for the upcoming season.

These are the list of players on their short list.
Quote
Van Hecke £52m

Tonali £90m

Mateus Fernandes £75m

Savinho £50m

El Mala £35m
Five players will be cost them £310m. There will be three more to come. So i guess 8 players will cost them around £500m usd. It feels amazing to splash a half of billion £ just to avoid the relegation to keep stay in EPL.

This reminds me of Chelsea. It's interesting to see what's gonna be the outcome from gigantic money splashed by Tottenham.

It looks like for Mateas Fernandes and Tonali this will be optional because if it can't be Tonali then they will force Mateus Fernandes but in this case if you look at some of the players Tottenham are targeting it looks like De Zerbi wants to further improve their midfield because Tonali will be very suitable to be Box To Box while Mateus Fernandes he can be one of the players who prioritize attack creativity.

Tottenham this season intends to change their squad because their last 2 seasons have not gone well so it will be quite natural for Tottenham at this time to make changes so that they remain in the main competition and make improvements to performance and standings in the coming season.
