The gap is wide but Barcelona looks beyond money here. Football now is like investment and clubs invest in a player that'll yield result in the long term. This Gordon guy is younger than Rashford and already proving his worth. Even in the next five years, he will still be useful for Barcelona (if he still with them) but Rashford is like a wine out knot that'll be useless in the next two to three seasons. Barcelona is probably looking at his future potential instead of temporary form.

World Cup is a one time tournament. Rashford looks sharp now and that's why Tuchel is using him ahead of Gordon. The tournament is about instant result and not long time potential. Barcelona is making the right decision in my opinion to go for the young talent over Rashford.

Just one word "Fraud". Barcelona never learnt from their mistake in player signing. Paid 80m for this bang average who can only running fast, but he dunnoe what to do is absurd. This reminds me with post-Neymar sale.

If they were smart, they would pick Rashford with less signing fees and may be almost same salary because Rashford already agreed to cut his wage.

Personally, I find it very hard to understand what Barcelona’s plan is, that they would overlook a player who has proven to make a major contribution to the team in the season just ended and instead sign a more expensive player. Although I don’t know if Gordon might have a lower salary or something like that, regarding the salary issue, I think I’ve read several news reports over the past few months stating that Rashford is ready to negotiate it. He really wants to be at Barcelona. But Barcelona went ahead and signed a player I never even expected at all. Gordon is a good player, but he might not be able to adapt as quickly at Barcelona as Rashford.

However, reportedly, Barcelona is still in talks regarding Rashford. But I wonder why they’re pursuing Rashford now that his position has already been filled by another player they’ve signed. Well I they what you saying, Gordon have failed to impress in this World Cup and I have heard a lot of Barca fans saying hope it not a waste of funds. Gordon has qualities and I think it will be easier for him to play at Barcelona. Since Barca always plays with a lot of authority and domination, he will be a very good player for them, he has eye for goal and a good pace too.

It still better that Barcelona choose to sign Gordon the ver rashford, Gordon is younger and as of now he his better than Rashford and I believe if Gordon can have a complete season at Barcelona we will see how good he his.

I'm thinking they took the fact that Manchester United insisted on their €30m demand and refused to accept a loan extension personal and signed Gordon to frustrate them, thinking they won't find a buyer that would accept to pay Rashford his complete wage, I might sound weird but that's how signing Gordon over Rashford makes me feel.

 Rashford is more experienced, still athletic and a good finisher compared to Gordon I really don't see what Barcelona saw in Girdon though, I just hopd they don't regret it. The agreement about how much Tottenham will pay is not yet disclosed. The last time i have heard Newcastle rejected Tottenham 75m offer for him.

So i can argue Tottenham to send higher offer for Tonalli, which i believe it will be ranged around 85m - 100m. Do you guys think this is a good move?

of course there is a huge difference between these two players, Marcus Rashford has more experience and has being playing in the big stage for quite a long time before Anthony Gordon broke into the scene. Rashford got his international call up before Gordon but to Barcelona all that do not matter because they already had it all planned out financially and also strategically before opting for Gordon even when presented with the option to keep Rashford permanently.

Barcelona have made a huge mistake signing Gordon, I don’t really understand how Gordon is playing in this World Cup, and I’m still wondering why Barcelona choosed to sigh Gordon instead of Marcus Rashford who they knows very well and have played for them and they’ve used him and won the La Liga Title.

Perhaps they are interested in Age and longevity, because I don’t think Gordon is a better player compared to Marcus Rashford, we are already seeing that in the World Cup right now, anyways it’s Barcelonas decision and is good for them, we wish them well.

There is no doubt that Gordon is a talented player. But he could not perform as well as expected  in the last two seasons. Maybe his  performance will improve in Barcelona. Because barcelona's squad is more stable and stronger than newcastle's.

Hansi flick is an  excellent manager. He is also aware of barcelona's financial crisis. So he will not pick any player in his  squad who cannot adapt  to his tactics. Barcelona are interested in signing Gordon, perhaps because he considers gordon to be a good fit for his squad.

Gordon has been included in the squad as a replacement for Rashford. Both play the LW position. But if I had to choose between these two players for Barcelona I would take rashford. He tried his best to perform well in the barcelona  jersey last season. He also has a good relationship with the players.

We can just conclude yet that signing Gordon is a bad decision, and also trying to judge there decision comparing to his performance in the world cup. It's a country outing, and there is so much difference compared to club side. Secondly, it's just how many games played. He could also performance better in other matches if England still remains.

One other thing I have seen in this England team is that, they find it very difficult to play a creative football. So, it's not a matter of Gordon only, but the entire team. They are just very good at passing the ball all around, withholding possession and all that. But that cool, nice, creative and descent football that brings about beautiful goals, they lack that ability.

Players switch from club to club all the time and it's normal I mean xhaka has already played for another club which is Sunderland so there is no much big deal. The level of performance that he pulled off last is something to consider despite his age and I also believe there should be at least one advanced played in the squad so as to showcase the presence of experience and leader in the team because when there are youngster all through with no valid control they tend to be chaos.

The rumors seems now to be true. Tonali to move to Tottenham is an okey move if you pay 20 mil or less but if you pay above 80 mil its just crazy for this kind of player. He didnt make much of a difference in Newcastle and Tottenham are buying him for a crazy amount thinking he will make a huge difference. I understand that Tottenham wants to rebuild the team and not let the next season go to waste but this is crazy still. Surely they could have gotten two amazing players for that amount. Newcastle honestly got a jackpot for this amount and will profit huge for a player that didnt do so many big things in their club

I rather see Xhaka move to a different club not a London club. Xhaka was my captain, before he left we love him and don't want to see him as a our rival. Sunderland is the best club for Xhaka base on age factor. If he eventually go to Chelsea I will surely hate him.
