I think when we go against the ballon D’or been handed over to Rodri then people think we are just hating on him which definitely out of the question, we were looking at the metrics used then, we weren’t looking at his footballing ability only because if we do then players like Sergio Busquet, iniesta and the likes would end up with at least one of these awards but certain criterias were not meet then. Then back to that year award, Vinicius was clear favourite because he had all the criteria checked except the one later added which was fair play and this was what the voters (journalists) used against Vinicius because we all know how he is against them, so for me I wouldn’t say he deserved it up till now.

But on the this current edition I don’t see any problem with him taking it if Spain actually gets the World Cup title because he has been exceptional even though if wasn’t able to get the two most major club trophies last season but the biggest criterion in a World Cup year is the World Cup itself.

I tell you Alvarez drama was already ended since Atletico was denying Madrid's 150m offer. It's the point where they have no intention to let him go. However, this Barcelona club is problematic with their telenovela drama that think they can still get him while Atletico already ignored their offer.
