Then imagine a Real Madrid board going for a player that is already 30 with so much injury prone situation. Now, everybody suddenly remembers Rodri is 30 and is injury prone. Where was this when Madrid were ready to sign him? Everybody said he would be a good fit for the Madrid team. Funny enough, Rodri is not injury prone. He is only coming back from a long term injury.

so he won't be that desperate any more, I don't say he won't play well, but he will never be that desperate to win again, and he's an injury prone, so the case of him and Harry Kane is totally different.

There is no kind of excuse I have not heard concerning this deal. This is the only time I have seen when a club signs a world class player for a club that doesn't have any natural player playing that position, yet people are looking for all kinds of excuses to make the deal look bad. He is the best in his position, and even at 30, there is no other defensive midfielder you can bring that is better than him.

In my opinion, what Rodri is set to do at Barcelona is something Pedro was already doing very creditably. 75 million for a 30-year-old player is no small sum, and there’s no guarantee he will be able to maintain the same standard for the entire duration of his contract. Certainly, in the short term, Barcelona will see a step up in quality and Pedro will be moved to a different position; at this point, De Jong is starting to look like surplus.

Looking at the Rodri contract with Barcelona, I know he'll surely not get similar agreement with Real Madrid, maybe that's the reason he decided to go to where he'll get a long contract.

Tottenham has been very poor for the past 2 seasons and at this point I think they are acting very desperate,  so teams are taking advantage of their desperation, so that why they are buying players at a very high price. We all know that the market is inflated, but Savinho is not worth that amount,  but like I said they are desperate to build a team to compete I'm the premier league in the upcoming season, so other teams are taking advantage of it. That's the only reasonable explanation I can give right now.

Another disappointment for sure. He should have stayed for another season to challenge himself. He only needs to work in his physicality to be able to compete in EPL. Sadly, his first season in City didn't work out. However, the decision to go to the Saudi team is unbelievable for sure consider he can still competitive enough to keep play in europe. I think this is a bit of Maresca's scapegoat. Unfortunately i think Manchester City won't start very well this year because they literally lost their entire midfield, which was the thing that set them apart from other teams. Tottenham is just being lavish in their transfer spending because some of these players do not worth those amount they were signed into the team. Tottenham is acting as if there are limited players in the transfer market and it's not even as if they are signing world class players. Tottenham is spending money on wrong players who i think they can't really make much impact in the squad.
Just because Tottenham has been busy in the transfer market doesn't mean they can contend the title. Before they will think of being a title contender they will first of all, finish within the European qualification positions because for over 2 seasons they have been nowhere near the top 4 as they mostly finish within 16th and 17th position.

Tottenham are spending ridiculously but I can't say ithey are good players in fact they are tackling areas they were lacking.

They got Tonali and other big names with them even if Savinho is still not proven there are other signings we can ser and say for a fact they are doing well and our eyes should be on them if they can keep a level of consistency.

Gassed with the news and signing of Mateus Fernandes, but I wasn't in any way about Savinho.

Last we saw him productive was during his time with Girona. He is yet another flop we barely talk about who Pep Guardiola signed for Manchester City.
Yeah, both the players and the respective clubs they are all signed from are being influenced by big money moves. Zerbi is a good manager and coach, I remember him with Brighton and I remain that he will do just the same for Tottenham Hotspur.

Savinho is still a very young player with lots of talent and potential so he will be a very valuable asset to Tottenham in the future. United has been on him since last season and now he is now their player, the fee seems fair after comparing it with past asking price but seeing thus is from tge fact that his fee got dropped because of his injury is one questionable thing and United can only hope he can do well and then this risk will be so much worth it.

I get your point, Savinho is a good player, and will be a big loss to City, but if you look at the City squad, you will see that there are enough attackers already, Haaland Doku, Marmoush Semenyo, Cherki, Monga, so no need to overload the team, atleast he was sold for a good price. Well Barcelona has signed him with a hope that he’ll perform well for them. Sometimes age shouldn't be the factor you will want to consider when signing a player if they’re still playing well and still in their prime. Rodri has been great throughout his season in the Manchester City, and I really loved how he played even in the World Cup, that was a masterclass performance that every team will love to have him play for them. I hope he has made the right choice to join Barcelona, let’s see how far he can perform in this great form in that club while counting up his age towards retirement from active football. He doesn’t look to want to retire now, but he’s still a player I feel will take a while and will even play in the next World Cup for his country if nothing comes up.

And people look at Savinho and go "75m for a guy with 2 league goals at City??" But it is telling more of the story of Guardiola's use of him than of his skills. Dude was getting some 40 minute cameos, and they are judging him as if he is starting again weekly.

They conceded 81 goals last season. Then spent almost all their money on the midfielders and attackers? Van Hecke is good but come on.

Baleba to Manchester United, rate this signings for the Red Devils? I would simply rate it a 6/10 because he's no longer fit enough and besides he's not seeing the regular game time because of injury. Others consider him to be injury-prune but we do understand the scenario here. Belaba is one of the Formidable DM in the English premier League and his presence do matters a lot in the Midfield.

This signing got me wondering, why would Brighton trigger the sell price for this player now that he's injured? We can see other elite teams including Manchester United came for him last summer but Brighton refused to sell him but this transfer summer, they didn't hesitate to sign him. It might be that he's no longer in good shape and the seagulls are just looking for a way to dispose him off from the club and bold and behold, Manchester United was available to buy him in inother for him to replace Casemiro.

Football is a big business now and the price of signing players have skyrocketed a lot compared to three seasons ago. Of course, since football is all about business every club wants to take advantage of the other club to sell any of their players that they're interested in for a very high price. Savinho shouldn't be up to that amount.
