The agent that is handling Chelsea transfer negotiation deserve a pay rise for his incredible job. If I remember correctly, Chelsea got this guy for £30m at his peak. He flopped at Chelsea but they however managed to get profit on his deal.

I hope Nottingham Forest can revive his career and get the best from him.

Chelsea at the moment are the best transfer revenues generating club right now. They bought some players use them and then sell them on profits it's actually a good business last season they made $350 million transfer spend and this season also they spend $402 million it's insane amount of bargain this season. Xabi Alonso never want a player which can't give has 100% to the team that's why Delap are out of the plan and one more thing they have alot of options in attacking so that's the main Reason and actually they made profit from this deal so why not sell this feran tores 2.0 Delap Haha.

They didn't play many minutes in Chelsea but hope they can play regular football in Nottingham Forest and show the real worth and I hope he can succeed there best of luck Delap you spent good year in Chelsea but now it's time to move on and find a new chapter in football.

Still im shocked how they were able to sell him for that much. Chelsea doing good business and getting even profit from players that arent having any minutes. Delap was really good in Ipswich but once he went to Chelsea he was just rubbish and now Forest is paying even more then Chelsea and this dosent make any sence.

I was as surprised as well, why in the world why they take delap for that amount, don't they watch football?
I know the guy is a flop but probably they see some potentials or something, of cause he has a good height probably they see some good potentials that made them accept to buy him at that price.
I know Chelsea their selfs will be surprised in this transfer, they said Diomande is a scam based on the price they bought him, but I do feel delap is the main scam in all these transfers

Of course they know they won't be able to sell Rodri again for 70 millions, anyway Rodri's cost will be absorbed through the years, so it won't be 70 millions forever.

Other than it. i don't see a good name to be signed as a secondary winger after him. yet, signing Barcola + new winger will force them to spend at least 200m before the close of late summer window transfer.

Why are they still so obsessed about this Barcola.. paying £145M is a bit crazy amount just to get him.  Hugo Ekitike they signed last season for 90M + in total is a striker too, what’s happened to him ? Is he on injury or something.

Ekitike got ruptured Achilles tendon. He's expected to return next year, but it can be faster if he gets speedy recovery. Other than it Gakpo is already in verbal agreement with Spurs since a few months ago. So Gakpo can leave anytime.

If Gakpo leaves, they have no quality winger to play in the left side. I don't think they will go for a full season with Ngumoha or Munoz, which have far lower quality than Gakpo.

There are lots of things going on behind the scenes that we don’t know because I’m yet to completely understand how Chelsea were able to convince Nottingham Forest to pay £45m for Delap, this is not a loan with a buy back option depending on player performance, but this is a direct sale for a player that Chelsea doesn’t want and are just desperate to offload. Watching his performances at Chelsea you can easily tell that he’s not good enough to lead the frontline of any club, Nottingham Forest is a Massive club now in the premiership and should have retained Awoniyi instead of letting him go for Delap to come in as a direct replacement. Well let’s see how it turns out for Delap at Nottingham Forest maybe he can rediscover his form there and start scoring goals like he did at Ipswich Town.

I am hearing the news of that Enzo Fernandez is leaving because of a social media post for the first time. The game between Argentina and England is filled with controversies that affected the relationship between the two countries. That's not how you rated player as a flop. Delap might be failed in his first season in Chelsea, but it's not guarantee he will be delivering the same result once he play for the another club. So £45m sounds good for Forest consider he's still young, English, and he has huge room to growth.
It's also a win situation for Chelsea because they can sold him for profit.

Nevertheless, this summer window sounds like a crime window for Chelsea and City. Both of clubs have managed to offload their failed players far more than what we expected.
City offload Savinho to spurs for £85m while Chelsea do the same to Delap for £45m.

Those two clubs quite smart in selling their players. i like that.

Rodri is still under injury as we speak, we shouldn't expect much from him, Rodri hasn't made an debut for Barcelona yet because he is currently recovering from injury which he got after there World Cup glory. For now i don't think Rodri will available for Barcelona although he may recover soon but even if he do he will still not get a regular play, Barcelona will still do well without Rodri with them as we have already seen the team previous performance where they won 5-0 without Rodri in the game.

Tottenham is cooking nothing, they have signed so many players, there last game was a very bad game, I don’t expect Brentford to beat them with that number of goals, Tottenham is always going to remain Tottenham, I hope they don’t struggle in the relegation zone, there is a chance the new players settle in without getting injured, then they might stand a chance of fighting for Europe.

As for Manchester City, I think they’re now building a new team, this is a new manager he wouldn’t want to work with some players, and some players would also ask to leave the club and seek for a new challenge elsewhere, that is how football works, players comes and goes, Manchester City are also planning on buying new players as well, so I think new coach comes with different plans and style of play and they would want to work with players that fit into their playing styles.

But we can not skip his career at Chelsea and used Ipswich to judge him. Chelsea is the immediate team he plays in and we are going to use his Chelsea performance to rate him. Frankly speaking, his performance at Chelsea is not something to be proud of and I believe even Delap himself won't be happy with how he was at Chelsea. I know Chelsea is part of the problem too because as team they aren't doing well and it affects players performance individually as well. But we can not hold Chelsea responsible for his failure despite that. I also want him to do well at Nottingham Forest but that does not rule out the fact that Nottingham overpay for him based on his current form.
