It was swiftly done without hesitation. I thought they should look into working on their defenders after they conceded two goals against Fulham United on Monday night. Little did I know Xabi Alonso was bringing a long lasting solution to improve the backline.

Dibu Martinez is a goalkeeper who can win you games and trophies. I'm now confident when I say that Chelsea can either come up as second runners up or possibly win thr Premier League Competition.

Massive! Massive!! Deal, I have been waiting for this particular Bomba 💣 news for the past 3 months of this Summer Transfer Window, Now Liverpool have to go all out to find a Replacement for Mohamed Salah, I don’t believe this is a Salah Replacement, Liverpool need a proper Right winger.

The Deal is a good one for everyone involved in the negotiations, £100 million fixed price is a good and the adds on is achievable by performance and trophy related adds-on.

Liverpool also need to sign a Defensive Midfielder for Andoni Iraola, else his playing style of Gegenpressing(high intensity), high tempo style wouldn’t work.

Nice signing, a very good one at that, but he's no Mo Salah replacement, he can only do his best, but in the aspect of replacing Mo Salah is a no for me, Barcola might be good but he's been on bench lately, I believe this move is only for him to get a more playing time at Liverpool, and most of you that thinks he's Mo Salah replacement, I bet he can't do half of what Mo Salah has done in the English premier League as a whole, not just Liverpool, so if this signing works out for the Liverpool football club, they shouldn't mistake him for Mo Salah replacement, because it's quite a let down to Salah, if they bring in Salah replacement people will no trust me.

If there's one thing i applaud Chelsea for, it's knowing how to do good business with their players they just recently convinced Nottingham forest to sign Liam Delap for £45m now they're asking for £140m for Enzo Fernandez, if the deal with Manchester City works out then they'll have lots of money for recruitment in the January transfer window.

Maresca wants him so i believe they'll succeed in signing Enzo, moreover what they offered is close to what Chelsea wants, if they reject it, they might not get something close to that in next summer transfer window. Enzo Fernandez had experience with Maresca, he was one of the players he used to dominate the midfield against PSG in the Club World Cup finals, so he won't struggle to perform under Maresca at Manchester City.

Before the Tuesday transfer deadline, I believe Enzo Fernandez deal to Manchester City will be finalized. However, Chelsea will be making up to $1 billion euros from this transfer window, making them the highest Premier League club to make huge money from transfers.

That's a good business deal for Chelsea this summer, but my concern is which players Chelsea will buy to replace Enzo Fernandez. Aston Villa must have confidence in their goalkeeper. Otherwise, why would they allow the transfer of Emiliano Martinez? I also think he's one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. It's a great gain for Chelsea, but I think it's a loss for Aston Villa. However, we don't know for sure; perhaps the Argentinian goalkeeper wanted to leave himself, and since he's 33, Aston Villa wanted to let him go. If they wanted to keep him, they wouldn't have allowed this transfer.

Zion was also pretty good at Parma and his World Cup performances and his young age could be a long-term projection for Aston Villa but on the one hand it's too fast in terms of player transition I think.

Emi will always be seen as one of the iconic Aston Villa despite his age now starting to age but his performance is still quite good.
But with the departure of him to Chelsea then indirectly this could also be a career boost for him even though maybe to be at Chelsea this will not be easy even I do not feel strange if he will be a substitute for Sanchez.

If you've been a football lover over the years you will understand that the role of a goalkeeper gets better with age, a goalkeeper age like fine wine, and I can give you examples of goalkeepers that were still doing well even while they were aging and at the age of 33 for a keeper, that's not too old, last season he played a pivotal role in making Aston Villa what they are today. Zion Suzuki was incredible in his performance during the last World cup as that was the only performance I've seen him display, but it cannot be compared to a tested and trusted goalkeeper that have gone through the rudiments of the premier League struggle and has make a mark for himself, and the price he was gotten looks ridiculous for a player like Emi.

Too many people have said the same thing. The season is right before us, we will all watch and see how prepared they are to battle for the title.

Despite the signings, Chelsea are not yet part of my favorites for the Premier League title, since they are participating in fewer matches, I assume Chelsea can build the potential to finish in a top standing, Chelsea will do better than last season, they can do a nice job in securing a Champions League spot.

Suzuki's presence was another factor that strengthened Martinez's transfer. Martinez moved to Chelsea, and Chelsea now have a good and strong player. They have gained an experienced and seasoned goalkeeper. He has tremendous experience both with Aston Villa and with Argentina. The fact that he is 33 doesn't scare me because goalkeepers can perform at a high level until they are 37 or 38. If he performs well for two seasons for Chelsea, I think this transfer will have paid off. I don't think Xabi expects much more from him.

Ekitike got ruptured Achilles tendon. He's expected to return next year, but it can be faster if he gets speedy recovery. Other than it Gakpo is already in verbal agreement with Spurs since a few months ago. So Gakpo can leave anytime.

If Gakpo leaves, they have no quality winger to play in the left side. I don't think they will go for a full season with Ngumoha or Munoz, which have far lower quality than Gakpo.

It's the reason Liverpool desperately needs Barcola at this moment. Beside that PSG is also having so many options in Barcola position. So Barcola seems not able to get regular minutes.

The problem is that PSG is not a poor team that is in the need of money. Liverpool has no choice other than fulfill PSG's demanded price to sign Barcola.

I feel Liverpool will break another new transfer record.

Ohh now I understand why they are desperately after signing him.. but out of curiosity, if he plays as a winger then does Liverpool have other players that can handle the finishing aspect because that majorly his weakness and the main reason they are trying to sell him..

Ferran just seem like a better version for them since they have quality  wingers that can feed him with alot of chances.

7.5M is quite low tho, but considering his age it's understandable.

Chelsea fc is actually doing a good job to build the team. I suggest they should still keep Sanchez and work on him even as Martinez be the active coach for them,

I can't remember the amount Aston Villa requested from Manchester United for Martinez last year but it's way costlier than this, Chelsea is very lucky in this transfer window, they're not only selling their players for huge figures but buying good players at bargain price, for a goalkeeper that's a World Cup finalist, Chelsea is so so lucky to buy him with just £7.5m.

 You're right, Arsenal is the main threat to all other teams in the Premier League, any team that can perform better than Arsenal would be considered the most likely to win this season but we can't tell which right now cause the league is still very fresh.

He is one of the good goalkeepers with his reflexes but on the one hand for me he is still quite overrated when compared to the performance and the awards he gets.

He does look good at national team level but for club level even though his skills are good but because it is too overated so it makes me feel I don't feel that it can be feasible. But being at Chelsea for now, especially with so many goalkeepers signed in recent seasons for Chelsea and his performances not up to par (almost for all the goalkeepers Todd has signed), Emiliano Matinezo could be a very good option.

Martinez already knows how to play in the Premier League so for adaptation issues with the league I wouldn't feel he has a problem but now it depends how Xabi does his job as well because chemistry is always an important part here.

This is another recording breaking signing for Liverpool, finally they got the man they wanted. Cody Gakpo has been in talks with Spurs, and he should be leaving anytime soon.

I don't think Liverpool will find a good replacement for Salah, and since the manager has not been talking about signing a RW, maybe he trusts frimpong to occupy that position. Jeremie Frimpong is the only player that occupies that position, and maybe the manager is ok with him because he can help defensively as well.

You are right Liverpool needs a good DMF, Mac Allister has not been in good form since returning from the World cup, if they could sign a solid DMF. Liverpool looks good enough to compete for any title this season.

They got a new goal keeper, and Martinez is getting old, though he still remain one of the best in the premier league currently, but the new keeper terms were, he will not sit on the bench and Aston villa agreed, and that why they now need to offload Martinez.

Well chelsea quickly take advantage of that and have now given Martinez 2 years contract With an option of one more year. Sanchez have shown again that he his not the goal keeper that will take chelsea to the next level, it really good to see them get a premier league proven goal keeper.

We will get to see if villa will regret this move by the end of the season. The 33 years old Argentine shot stopper cost Chelsea just 7 million pounds.

Common have you not been watching Emiliano Martinez at Aston Villa and also in Argentina? This is the kind of goalie every team needs because he's this type of keeper that holds and builds confidence in the backline, he's such a brutal one and ginger the defenders. Martinez would be a good backup goal keeper for Sanchez who's kinda making mistakes leading to goals for Chelsea.

I'm not hyping Martinez but I do think he's a better upgrade compare to Sanchez who's yet to make any reasonable stats this season, always ready to commit errors that will the whole team in problem and under pressure. Sanchez is good but he's not just consistent and that's what an elite team like Chelsea needs at the moment.

Barcola is another big money signing that I think will be very interesting but the price tag might be a problem because the expectations would be definitely high and could mount pressure on him like it did/doing to Florian Wirtz at the moment. They have to be patience with him not that I want to hype the league but this is the premier league.

As for a right winger Liverpool already had early made contacts for the signing of Crystal Palace’s Ismail Sarr after the deal for Yakub Mintey proved very expensive for them, I think getting Sarr will give them depth in that position but even without getting Sarr I don’t see Frimpong playing their I think they will fully promote the youngster rio ngumoha as he participated in the preseason and started against Newcastle in that position

From the reports, I don't think Aston Villa were willing to let go of their first choice goalkeeper but it seems the Argentina international is very keen on leaving the club this summer so they had to oblige and let him go.

Chelsea in the last three to four seasons have struggled in the goalkeeping position, I think the signing of Emiliano Martinez will bring lasting solution to that problem. He's a world class player and I expect him to succeed at Chelsea.

Yeah, Chelsea badly needs someone who can fill in for now, but I don't think he is in for a long-term project. In the English League, where player prices are crazily inflated, you can really tell from the price tag Chelsea is willing to accept to have him move.
