Barcelona can't simply offer than kind of money. It's that simple. They bet everything on the fact that they reached an agreement with Alvarez and they hoped he would convince Atletico to let him go at Barcelona's terms. But it doesn't work like that. And now Atletico are pissed off. I'd be it too.

What the hell are you saying? They literally sent a bid of 100 million to Atletico. Even Atleti confirmed that. Fabrizio and many other reputable news outlets confirmed it. So what are you saying they can't offer that kind of money? What exactly does that mean? They have been pursuing Alvarez this summer, so if Atleti agreed, are you saying they won't be able to pay the amount they offered?
How exactly do you guys see Barcelona? You see them as people that would offer a bid they can't pay? Even for 120 million, they will be able to sign Alvarez if Atleti agrees to a deal.

How is everybody blaming Barcelona for agreeing to a deal with Alvarez? Isn't that how transfers work? Isn't the club supposed to agree personal terms with the player first before they start talking to the club? Why is the standard different with Barcelona?
A club literally sent a bid of 100 million. What Atleti should have done is say the money is too small, that they should bring 150 million, and then they would start negotiating, but Atleti don't want to sell.

And I'm tired of hearing the "Barcelona don't have money" excuse. They have bought and registered different players this season. They bought Gordon for 70 million without negotiating for long. We need to move on from this "Barcelona is broke" narrative.

When the Alvarez fantasy crashed against reality, what happened? Barca had to make a desperate deal on the last day to score an additional body in a pocket change from Gabriel Jesus.

There were high expectations on Tottenham, considering the quality they have brought to the team during this transfer window, and to see them get zero points from the first 2 games is really disappointing. Now they have signed Tosin from Chelsea on permanent basis and also Mudryk on loan with an option to buy, to be worth around £75 million.

Now how does chelsea keep selling their unwanted players with profit so easily. Tosin was signed for free from Fulham and now he his sold for around 7 million Quid with add ons. Chelsea have really done an amazing job in this window.

Now for them they need to get a replacement for Enzo Fernandez, with possibles names like Manu Kone and Lamine Camara. Both Enzo deals and his replacement should be done before the next 24hrs.

True, a few seasons ago I insulted Todd because he always burns money for some players who for me flop but this season they showed a very good business spirit because for these 3 players alone they have already made quite a profit.

Their Delap Transfer was profitable, Jackson also for almost 30 million and Tosin who came on a free transfer too they managed to make this an advantage.

Although I didn't like Todd's reckless way of bringing players to Stamford Bridge, this season they have the advantage and it is a step that I appreciate.
At the moment they should reduce their number of goalkeepers because now it is recorded that Chelsea still have 5 goalkeepers for their squad and for me this is too much.

Gakpo has been a player who hasn't quite lived up to expectations, even at Liverpool. Manchester City manager Maresca must trust him as a good backup. I think moving from Liverpool to Manchester City is a step forward for him. The only problem is that he's likely to be a reserve player at Manchester City. However, if he wants to win trophies, Manchester City has a better chance of winning more than Liverpool. I don't know if the Cody Gakpo transfer will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

The deal is off as reported by Fabrizio early on, and I will say this either Gakpo as lived up to expectations or not he is by far Liverpool best attacking player and for the fact that Liverpool were actually trying to sell him off to a direct rival and competitor was actually the most shocking part. Liverpool had already signed most of the expensive Forwards in the league and yet they still struggle in the front of goals but they wanted to sell off their £35 million signing who usually comes off with at least a goal or assist in games better than all this big money signings would have been a similar mistake they made with Luiz when they sold him to Bayern Munich.

The wings are still without players like Gakpo even after the signing of Barcola because to be sincere the right wing replacement for Salah isn’t convincing yet to me because I doubt that this Rio can take up that responsibility for a whole Season at least Gakpo can still Manage there also

The deal they agreed with Arsenal is worth 120 million. This shows that it's not about the money. It was never about the money. If they wanted to sell to Barcelona, they could have said the money is not enough and asked Barcelona to renegotiate. That is how deals are done. But they don't want to sell to Barcelona. Even if Barcelona offers 150 million, they still won't sell to them unless their hand is forced.

Roberto Di Zerbi came to Tottenham Hotspur last season when they were at the brink of getting relegated but was able to help them avoid relegation and with that came a lot of expectations from football fans. I was honestly expecting Tottenham to be a major title contender this season or at least, a strong candidate to finish the season in the top four. If signing Tosin will help them achieve that, then I'll be happy to see that happen.

The most disappointing thing is that Tottenham failed to score in two matches while conceding five. De Zerbi, who turned the team around last year, had started this season with high hopes. However, they couldn't avoid defeat in both of their matches and haven't scored a goal in the league yet. They need to change this situation as soon as possible. They've made some good transfers, but I think they need to go through a period of adjustment.

They're a good selling club. I mean one of the best during every transfer window. I can recall that Madueke was so ass and thry chipped him out for a great fee. Couple other players have also left but they have never sold low, more than whatever was set on a certain player.
He has no other choice than to leave the club. He will be a good back for Danso  who De Zerbi have asked to leave alongside Sarr and Richardlison.

Danso decides to leave. Tosin is signing for €7m by Spurs, but the thing that also surprises me how can Spurs is also taking Mudryk for a long season loan with €75m buy option. Beside that Chelsea also offloading Sanchez to Como at the same time.

This is one of weirdest window transfer. Chelsea manages to make money while dismantling their opponents at the same time.

Gabriel Jesus was a successful player in Manchester City, his Arsenal move didn't work out the way he would have wanted, but I strongly believe that he's still a top player. I hope this move works for him.

Gabriel Jesus is an excellent striker, even if he hasn't been so lucky in recent years. If he is as fit as he was when he played for Manchester City, then he will be an excellent signing for Barcelona.

Smartest club as per how? Players are always on demand in the transfer window, so there’s nothing special that Chelsea is doing in selling their flopped players. All you need do as a club is making your players available in the market and you will surely receive offers. Of course, I also think he was signed as a forward who could play as a backup. Because currently, I don't see such a high-quality backup forward for Barcelona. Fermin might be acceptable, but Gabriel Jesus, with his experience, is a player who can make a great contribution to Barcelona in this position. I also think his performance could improve even more with Raphinha. Because Raphinha can have an effect that will speed up his adaptation process to the team.

The transfer market is very active, with teams wanting to significantly improve their squads because the leagues are more competitive. In the last 48 hours alone, there has been a lot of news about player transfers. So here are the latest news items I could read:

- Eintracht Frankfurt and Fulham have reached a verbal agreement for the Eintracht Frankfurt player to be sold to Fulham for €25 million. Hugo Larsson is 22 years old and plays as a midfielder. He made 25 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. I don't see him as a great player, but he is a young player. I wonder why Fulham wants to sign him; the Premier League is more difficult than the Bundesliga, and if he didn't do very well in the Bundesliga, then he will probably do worse in the Premier League.

- RB Leipzig loaned their player Conrad Harder to RC Strasbourg. Conrad Harder is a very young player, only 21 years old, so he still has potential to develop and probably hasn't had consistent playing time in the first team at RB Leipzig, but playing for RC Strasbourg in Ligue 1 he might get more playing time, and he's fortunate that RC Strasbourg is a good team and that in Ligue 1 they at least started the season with acceptable performance, something like 1 loss and 1 win.

- Sunderland reached an agreement with Tottenham for the loan signing of Kevin Danso, a 27-year-old defender, not very young, so Tottenham wouldn't be losing out on his departure. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal involves a payment of £25 million. I don't know what Sunderland hopes to gain from this signing; they could have focused on signing a good player permanently, but they opted for a loan, and for a defender coming from Tottenham.

- Torino reached an agreement with Everton for the permanent signing of Nathan Patterson, a 24-year-old defender. I don't consider him a great player, and I don't know why Torino is signing him, because this season, which recently began, Torino's defense has been terrible; in their first two games, they suffered two defeats and conceded four goals. If they want to improve their defense, then it would make more sense to sign a defender with a lot of experience.

- Hull City have reached an agreement with Genoa for the permanent signing of Brooke Norton Cuffy, a 22-year-old defender. He's a very young player, and honestly, I see him spending much more time on the bench than playing. I say this because at the start of this season, Hull City has been doing very well defensively; for example, in their first two Premier League games, they conceded no goals. This is very positive, and I doubt the Hull City manager will want to change the current defensive players to include Brooke Norton Cuffy.

I'm surprised as well. I thought Barcelona is done in the transfer market after Alvarez drama. But did you get the figure right? Like you mean £10m plus ads on? Was Arsenal sleeping when they were negotiating with Barcelona? If this is not daylight robbery, what else can we call this? If the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Delap of Chelsea were sold for £65m and £45m respectively, how on earth Gabriel Jesus is sold for £10m?

It’s more like a fire sale. Arsenal really wants to offload Jesus, even at a low price, as long as he’s sold. For Barcelona, acquiring a striker for £10 million is clearly a good deal. After all, if Jesus performs well, Barcelona might sell him again for a profit. Moreover, I don’t think signing Jesus is Barcelona’s top priority. This move is just a short term solution while they continue to target Alvarez in the upcoming January transfer window.

Worst transfer of the season.

Galatasaray reach agreement in principle to sign Rafael Leão.

Leão accepted Galatasaray better personal terms proposal today, after Aston Villa couldn't come up with a better terms proposal for the Portuguese winger.

AC Milan to receive package in excess of €45m with add-ons and sell-on clause also included.

What a disappointmentt. He went from rejected offers by EPL club to the play for Galatasaray. We can see how downgrade his quality is right now. He could leave from Milan when he was still at peak, and i believe he would get hundreds of chance to try on competitive club in the big league such as EPL.

Its also a huge lost for Milan because they could have sold him for more than a hundred million, then it's ended with 45m. I know they have 20% clause on him in this transfer, but it's not as big as if they sold him at peak.

Galatasaray have made a great signing by bringing in Rafa Leao for this fee; given his performances over the last few years and his statistics, I believe this is the fairest valuation for this player.
I should point out that I’ve never been a fan of his as a footballer, but I have to admit that he did very well for Milan whilst the club considered him indispensable; moreover, his form has dropped significantly since Theo Hernandez left – the two of them were a dynamic duo at Milan.

I just have a question: if this is such a great deal, how come he ended up in Turkey, at the very end of the transfer window? In England any random team spend 45 millions for a decent player, if Rafa Leao was so good how is it possible that nobody felt like he was worth that money? I think Milan have been lucky to sell him for 45 millions because they tried to get rid of him for years, and in the meantime his performances kept getting worse and worse. Let's not forget he is 27 years old, he is not young at all.

I'd say 27 isn't exactly an old player! He still has the potential to perform at his best over the next five or six years. I don't really like him as a player, but he's not a bad player, considering that Milan wanted to earn over 100 million with him. The truth is, he's not worth that money, maybe not even 45 million. He ended up in a league where they try to relaunch strong players, but it's not a great league.

He's a very young player, only 21 years old, a central defender who can continue his development within the right system. The final stages are now the medical checks. If he meets expectations, acquiring his transfer rights could seriously become a possibility. The squad is starting to take shape, starting with the Leao transfer. It's late, but it's not bad at all the gaps are being filled.

This signing is curious. I imagine Hansi Flick was the one who had to find the right profile. I'm not saying anything, but in my opinion, this player is good, but not good enough to bring him here. However, Hansi is very wise in what he does and looks for; he surely has a good plan to integrate him.

I would have looked for a defender. I see that even with their formation, Barcelona still needs someone with a strong presence on the flanks, especially the left, which is where I see attacking intent and where it's easy to penetrate. But with Rodri already there, I imagine he'll also use him as a holding midfielder.

In challenging Champions League matches, a strong rotation squad is essential. We see that Galatasaray wants to strengthen its rotation squad as well. The acquisition of a young central defender demonstrates this. With the Leao transfer, they have significantly strengthened the left wing area. Galatasaray will find rhythm in that position with Barış Alper rotating, and I believe they will try to create many chances from there. The Leao transfer was very important for Osimhen, because he was often isolated in the attacking zone, especially in Champions League matches.
