The summer transfer already closed, but it's not yet for Chelsea. Chelsea is contacting Wijnaldum to be their temporary midfielder to fill Enzo's empty spot. Wijnaldum was doing pretty good in Saudi with 33G/A from 80 games last seasons. He's also PL experienced. I remember when he helped Liverpool to won UCL back in 2018/2019.
This kinda weird Chelsea is pivoting to the old players after they also signed Wellbeck and Robertson. But their management seems think to end with something instead of get nothing for their midfielder.

They shoulda sign him because missing a midfielder obviously deflate their gameplay. Importantly, their upcoming game is gonna be Arsenal, which is the hardest one.

Hope they can seal Wijnaldum with reasonable wages.

You just made me laugh by saying that you always finds it difficult to pronounce his name. If you want to learn how to pronounce those players name that looks complex, listen to commentators when they are calling their names. If you can't pronounce Georginio Wijnaldum that sounds English in the ear, that means you can't pronounce PSG player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Georginio Wijnaldum is a prolific midfielder just as you said, he was very vibrant at Liverpool till he left at the end of his contract in 2021. He is currently playing at Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, he is also very good at scoring goals because he scored 16 goals for Al-Ettifaq last season. The only problem i have with this player is that he is old already, 35 years so he might not really have that experience to play in the Premiership like when he played at Liverpool. Chelsea should better look for a younger player.

Name a worse goalie in the Premier League if not Sanchez. Sanchez is not a goalie at all. He is bad on the ball. Off the ball, he is the worst. I think he lacks confidence whenever he is on the pitch. He may have the skill, but low self-esteem has hindered his success as a professional goalie. If Chelsea go on to win the Premier League at the end of the season, Sanchez will regret that he was never up to the task. Martinez may be older, but I still think he is miles away from being better than Sanchez.

Fabregas is doing wonders at Como 1907. Again, Serie A is not as competitive as the EPL. Sanchez should do better there. Same way Andre Onana is doing better at Trabzonspor

The move to sell the Spanish goalkeeper to an Italian club spared the back line the unstable shape that has a pernicious impact on teams. The decision against the pressure of Stamford Bridge was the correct move in ensuring his mentality towards playing.

You have a point, but Martinelli was quite ineffective in the past few years ^{[e.g., his development stopped a very long time ago]} and in addition to that, they did a great job clearing the wage bill ^{[something that could benefit them in the near future (e.g., more funds for Janurary transfer window)]}.

I hate to do this, but I'm not sitting on the fence when it comes to Martinelli. It got me wondering if he was even Brazilian because I have never seen him like a Brazilian all these years. Glad he moved, Tzolis will have to step up his game and own his position. He had a great debut, all he just needs now is the backup from fans, teammates and manager and he will be back buzzing for Arsenal.  Noni Madueke ain't completely useless as I thought though. He can play that role quite well, I'm not sure he can cover up defensively though. He is also another player who should be axed.
It seems like this Sporting Director not doing enough this transfer. How are they not getting a replacement for Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli? TF?!!

The problem is that Chelsea were buying names actually in the recent season.. that has really given them  some setbacks even though it worked at some point, Realmadrid is also on same path.

I believe Xabi has plans for the club and part of the plans is selling those players [spefically the ones he may not be able to control ]. Not sure but I think he had same problem at Realmadrid…

Xabi Alonso have been very clear about what he wants, that's why a lot of Chelsea players this summer have either been permanently sold or loaned out of the club.

Robert Sanchez has been inconsistent, that's just the truth and for a club that actually wants to compete for the league title this season, having an inconsistent goalkeeper can't be an option.

There's every possibility that he might improve at Como but I think Chelsea made the right decision.

If I'm not mistaken, the Premier League has the craziest player transfer fees. If a team isn't financially sound, lifting a trophy can be a distant dream. Are the organizers ignoring this situation for the sake of a fairer competition? It seems like it's become commonplace for teams to spend over 100 million on a single player.
Manchester City's total spending on purchases and sales seems to be balanced. If they can't win even one trophy, it would be truly regrettable.

Premier League clubs always spend huge amounts of money on transfers. By the way, City and Arsenal remained the leaders in transfer spending for quite a long time, and the results reflected that pretty well, they were the ones competing for the title. Sometimes Chelsea and Liverpool also join this crazy transfer race. Liverpool, I believe, hold the record for the amount spent on a single player, and it seems to me that their spending, including those huge transfer fees, has never really paid off.

The risk is that teams that spend large sums of money like this could face financial sanctions, even if they are aware of it and try to avoid it.
Manchester City, for example, has spent nearly hundreds of millions on several players this season. We're no longer surprised by City's transfers almost every season. The 100 million figure has become a commonplace figure for them, given their substantial cash reserves.

Liverpool has also been no different in their spending sprees recently. Manchester United and Chelsea have done the same before. This season, Tottenham Hotspur also seems to be heading towards a large figure.
In my opinion, the FA needs to pay special attention, even though there are written regulations regarding transfer fees.

I'm curious as well. When Barcelona played Rayo Vallecano yesterday, I could see Gabriel Jesus in the stands observing the game and I'm guessing he was calculating how he'd fit in at the team. It's a good observation you made and so far the only club that can make Barcelona aware that their defense isn't that solid is Madrid but at least it's not that bad so let's see how the coming games will be for the defending champions.

Well, Raphinha is already in the running for top scorer, which is a goal ahead of Mbappé, and I can't deny the amazing goal Lamine scored. In fact, I see that Barcelona's style remains the same; they manage to come back after conceding a goal, which I think is quite good. However, there are deficiencies in their defense.

Right now, Barcelona's weakness is a through ball through the middle of the defense. A fast attacker can leave them out of position and score, just like on the wings, where a good winger can send a cross into the center and make a goal very likely. I think that's Hansi Flick's main vulnerability with Barcelona.

I think Barcelona's main rival is my Real Madrid, and a manager like Hansi Flick has these things very well studied. That's why I want to see this Clásico; I want to see how good these teams really are right now.

Como manager Fabregas is now known for making good use of the transfers he brings in and developing them into star players. Therefore, Sanchez can deliver a productive performance while he's at Como. Of course, this will depend on the playing time he gets. He's embarked on a new adventure by moving from Chelsea to Como, and he'll certainly want to prove himself. Because his main goal is to play in the Premier League, and if he has a good period in Italy, he could have the chance to play for Chelsea again in the Premier League.

19/20 at City was, in my opinion, his best season. 35 games, 13 goals and even 20 assists... Wolfsburg took a chance on him and in the end made €76M from him. You gave a great example, especially because he’s a player i really like, and even more so because he now plays for Napoli, the team i support. KDB still has something to offer us.

KDB is one of my favourite player after Foden in City .. Unfortunately he gets tired easily these days, I’m not sure how he’s performing at Napoli though. Does he play full matches?

By now,  Napoli should have really become  unstoppable by just adding more player to the squad to balance the team but they went ahead selling both  Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.. I remember posting a comment here then that Napoli is making a really big mistake with the transfers .

He’s not in form, that’s true, but he can still play nicely. A player of that class will always stand out from the others. He doesn't play full matches, he comes on occasionally and in that short time he makes a difference. Against Genoa, he scored a goal and provided an assist. The back line is the problem. Koulibaly and Kim Min Jae used to play there, and they had some other good players as well. Osimhen wanted to leave on his own, and so did Kvara. But yes, those were the two best players who came to Napoli since i've been following them, and I’m from the Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani era

Sanchez is never a world class goalkeeper, so saying he needs to prove Chelsea fans wrong is wrong. Since his arrival at Chelsea he has the record of the second goal keeper to to make error that lead to goal. Chelsea is very right to replace him, and to get a goalie like Martinez is really an upgrade for them.

The only difference he will have at Como is that, Como is a team that is always in charge when they play, so he will get to face less pressure. Como is a team that always like to play from back, I just hope sanchez don’t make costly errors for them.

He is not to prove to Chelsea that he's a world class goalie but let him prove himself that he's qualified to be a world class goalie because I don't think that he's one. I honestly feel for this guy, he's good but I sometimes don't understand why his confidence drop so fast and you see him making a blunder out of nowhere, even the last game he played he wasn't as mobile like something is preventing him from being at his best. Heading to Como I told a Chelsea fan that Sanchez isn't good at Chelsea but don't be surprised if we start seeing the best of him at Como, the news we'd hear about him will be tempting for them the fans to wish he never left.
Sometimes the club affects good goalkeepers and the defenders too have so much to do to improve the confidence of the goalkeeper and when your turn the table around on the goalkeeper Sanchez you'd notice that he is not the type that likes to talk much on the pitch, always quiet and that's not how to run the show as a goalkeeper but I wish him the best at the Serie A with Como.

WDYM? A lot of players move to a lower team and have the chance to play in the champions league because their new team will be participating. Sanchez is not a bad goalie but he's definitely not the one for Chelsea, he makes too many costly mistakes that Chelsea can't tolerate anymore. We can all see how hard Chelsea are working to improve and be back at the top level, they can't achieve all that when they don't have reliable players. I think Sanchez's major problem is reliability, he's just not reliable and that's why Chelsea decided to get someone else and I would say it's a good decision. He was given enough time but he was inconsistent with his performance.

Do you people want to rate Como ahead of Chelsea because they'll be playing in the champions league this season?  Chelsea has won almost every trophy win able and failing to qualify for the champions league should not make them look less. Either they play in the champions league or not, Como is no where close to them in terms of everything one can think of. Sanchez is average goalkeeper who's not supposed to be in Chelsea squad. Chelsea as one of the biggest club deserves a world class goalkeeper and luckily they have just signed Martinez to take that position. Como is a perfect place for Sanchez and I hope he improves there by working on his mistakes.
