You're being sentimental with your submission and from the write-up, it's very easy to spot that you're anti- Ronaldo.
For the records, Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player in the history of Portuguese league, he's fought for that badge with everything in him, before his first ever international game, Portugal hadn't won any FIFA recognized international trophy, he's helped them win three important trophies.

If the club is to address anything in Manchester united, they need defense. Look at Luke shaw, that guy is 31 years, he is prone to injury. They shouldn't rely on such kind of left back. But it’s also obvious that his performances and his pace are no longer what they were a few years ago. The fact that he doesn’t want to retire is entirely up to him, but there is also the coach’s decision. If he stops getting called up to the national team, his international career will end anyway. He could have done it in a more fitting way with a farewell match rather than simply leaving the training camp.

The problem is the action done by the coach create conflict and as result Ronaldo decide to leave and stay out in their national team.

Many of us expected CR7 to retire from national team after the World Cup. With everything that happened around him, the bully and all. We all saw how he was criticized by fans from the other camp. Even some of his team mates obviously didn’t want him in the team during WC… they tried to sideline indirectly by not creating better chances and passes for him to score. They were just playing within themselves. This alone was enough reason for him to consider retiring after WC to avoid further humiliation and disrespect.

At his age and with everything he achieved for Portugal, he does not have anything to prove again. I am just pained the manner he retired from national team. I would have preferred to see him leave with the respect and celebration he deserves.

It could be a good moment for Cristiano to end his professional career but looking at what he wants to achieve as a final treat for 1000 goals before retiring completely from football it looks like he will still continue to play at least until the end of the season.

Cristiano has scored 979 goals in all competitions and just 21 more for him to achieve his ambitions.

The advice you have given Ronaldo may be good but he needs to be given more time. His contract with Al-Nassr will expire this season, which means he may announce his retirement before the end of the season. He should have retired from the national team after the World Cup because young players need to be given a chance. Portugal's players are performing well in the UEFA Nations League without Ronaldo which is very positive for the team. Yes it’s almost two years now and I don’t see anything that has changed. My problem is Real Madrid do not need a quick fix because it’s not working out well for them they need to build and not just be gathering free transfers with big pay checks every season, recently they added both Bernardo Silva and Konate, still with Konate no real improvement.

I agree that they don’t need to be all after very young players but they are definitely mid aged players around 25 years or so with good experience and quality that will also grow with the team, but going for aged players that they will be looking to change in one or two seasons later is not a good option IMHO

I get why Ronaldo was angry, it not as if he had issues with him on the bench, but telling him to warm up for 20-30 minutes is what is unacceptable by him. Ronaldo is always called up when the national team is calling for players, i think there is only a misunderstanding between the coach and Ronaldo, also between some of his teammates, it is obvious that Ronaldo and some of his teammates are not in a very close relationship, but for the sake of avoiding internet drama and situations like this, Ronaldo should have approached the coach, had the conversation, and settled on when it would be his last game for the national team.

He's point of view is that the coach invited Ronaldo, if he was not going to need Ronaldo, or use him effectively, he shouldn't have invited him. I am even saying that, before inviting Ronaldo, he should have been able to communicate him that he will be playing him for only 45mins, 30 mins or so, as the case may be.

At Man United still with the same problem, players now have to be replaced with new and fresh ones. Carrick actually only needs to get support from the club's top brass but because Man United current finances are not so serious about overhauling the squad that Carrick position is awry. According to many sources, Ronaldo decide to retire from international football after the World Cup and Portugal federation and the coach stop him and gave him a promise that he will play matches, and the coach also told him the matches he will play but at the end the coach did not give him any minutes despite telling him to warm up, you can’t tell a player like Ronaldo to warm up without putting him on the field, that is a disrespect, Ten hag did that and Ronaldo decide to leaves Manchester United.
