With a price of €42.5 million in 2024, Zirkzee joined Man United from Bologna. But Zirkzee has hardly had any playing time since then, and this season he has only played 70 minutes. He has become a failed player even though he is still under contract with Man United. There are rumors that Napoli is ready to recruit him, and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to have held some initial talks with Manchester United. Maybe if Zirkzee still doesn't get much playing time, leaving is the best decision. Maybe next January we can see what will happen? Source: https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2026/10/man-utd-transfer-news-joshua-zirkzee-napoli-contactNapoli paid €35m for Lorenzo Lucca, but he has struggled to make much impact at the club. This might be one of the reasons why Napoli wants another striker. Joshua Zirkzee performed well in Italy but has failed to replicate that top form in the English Premier League. He has been linked several times to move to Serie A, but none have materialized. The young player needs to play more frequently for him to regain confidence and form. But it seems he might not get that oppurtunity in Mancheter United. Moving to Napoli would be a good move since he might get more playing time. If Aurelio De Laurentiis wants the Dutch international, Massimiliano Allegri would not have much option but to let him come to Naples.

Source: https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2026/10/man-utd-transfer-news-joshua-zirkzee-napoli-contactJoshua Zirkzee has been patient enough in Manchester United but he needs game time, this is the third manager since he was signed up and none has given him enough game time to be successful. If I was him, I'd be doing my home work already and planing my exit because I want a club where I can play and be a full-time squad player. He has a good time with Bologna in Seria A, I'm sure a return to Seria A wouldn't be bad idea for him, but with Rasmus Hojlund as first choice, do you still think he'd want to swing that way? The next transfer window should be the right time I reckon, if he wants to be called up consistently by the Dutch national team, he has to play regularly.

I think it's a bit unfair to call COMO a small team, since they've moved beyond that status and have become a force to be reckoned with in Serie A. As for Fabregas becoming Manchester United's coach, I think that's just a rumor, since Fabregas is still focused on coaching Como and wants to stay with the team for a while longer... especially at Como he's not just a coach, but also a shareholder... I think given his current status, he doesn't see other teams as promising options, he's probably more interested in building Como into a stronger team.
I don't define Como as a small team at all, in fact for me they are one of the best teams in Serie A, even if in the last championship match they lost against Frosinone, this doesn't mean that Como is a small team, because in the Champions League they demonstrated against Leipzig that they know how to dominate matches even against important teams and I'm sure if they face even stronger teams they will still be able to come out with their heads held high. In any case i think he do good this season.

Sometimes being at such a big club will create exposure and incredible career gains but that is on a note if the coach is able to lift the performance and now Fabregas does not have to gamble with his career just beginning because the situation will be complicated not only about Fabregas but this will also have an impact on Como.
At the moment Como is in good faith because the coach and players are the main pillars, when one of these aspects leaves then the club will definitely experience a decline in performance again (most likely it will be like this). In addition, Fabregas will also not have any guarantees even though he also knows how the EPL is as a player but the view of the player and the coach is not the same so if this happens then I doubt he can succeed.
Exactly, you understood the concept perfectly. When Xabi Alonso went to Real Madrid, he felt ready for the challenge, but he went to a very unconvincing club and above all in a very disorderly phase. The same thing happened with Amorim at Manchester United and that's why the hoped-for results didn't arrive.

They may have just succeeded based on the the team synergy they were having, Erik Ten Hag tried to brig same team but still nothing was successful.
I think Ten Hag was the most unsuccessful manager in Manchester United's recent history, given the truly embarrassing results he managed to achieve. And i don't think is all the fault of the coach, but of a club that didn't know how to intervene with their club, leaving the team adrift.

Before this season, there had also been rumors of him moving to Chelsea but at that time there was no such thing as a move to a team that a coach had defended when he was still an active player. And as a Man United fan, of course I have not heard the news about Cesc Fabregas' move to the Man United camp because currently Cesc Fabregas is still really enjoying being with Como, especially in the previous season Cesc Fabregas managed to bring Como to the UCL competition and that is one of the trusts shown to the management by Cesc Fabregas so that his current position in the Como team will be safer in enjoying the results that he has managed to make for the Como team.
I believe that Fabrigas is happy to stay in Como, because it is the most coherent Italian club, because there is a correct transition from club to coach and from coach to team. Everything is very clear, it is always very well defined and this allows the whole mechanism to work in the best possible way.

That would not be the case for now maybe later, if you knew that Fabregas was the main axis at Como FC. You could say he's the brain of the club itself, even the owner of Como himself who said in one of the podcas that he would not detain Fabregas, even if today he asked to go, the door open for him. But seeing the Como project in the hands of Fabregas, anyone can know choosing Como is better than Manchester United whose condition is in disarray. One more thing, Como is not a small club anymore, if you know.
At this moment and in this specific phase i see Fabregas as the real director behind the scenes. Because if i think of Como i think of Fabregas and vice versa. He is a coach who is really giving a lot to young talents, also making it one of the youngest teams in the championship and who has created a very attacking way of playing in a short space of time. And all this thanks to a club that listens to its coach's requests.

Moreover, there is a great deal of trust in him, which allows manager Fabregas to feel more at ease within the team. I had heard there were various offers for him this year some big clubs wanted him but it is evident that he is very happy at Como, as he is continuing to lead the team this season. In my opinion, the Spanish manager is building a long-term plan with Como. as a young manager at 39, he is currently gaining valuable experience.

You are not far from reality, if Amorim did not accept the Manchester United job offer and remained at Sporting, he may have been one of the hottest coaches of now, the way his team played brought a widespread of recognition when they played against top teams in the champions league. Portugal league is not often watched, so I think it was the champions league he was really known. Then you talked about Ten Hag, since Ten Hag left Ajax to Manchester United his career value reduced. Amorim and Ten Hag were at the peak of their career when they accepted the Manchester United job, normally coaching big teams has it's demerits because you have to prove a point and the merit of it is you as a coach having access to better players and bigger funds to buy quality players.
In my opinion, Amorim is a very capable coach, capable of really doing well in the team he coaches. United was a team completely in crisis at club, team and performance level and the blame cannot be placed solely on him given that he was not the first to fail as a manager in recent years, while at Sporting he had done very well as well as he is trying to remedy the situation and condition of Milan.

What are you guys even saying? Has it gotten to this extend to compare Como to Manchester United? So long as I know Como is no where near Manchester United both past and present, if Manchester united should face Como today I wouldn't hesitate to pick Manchester united wining over Como, and if Fábregas is sure of himself he should come to Manchester United, i bet his case will be like that of Xabi Alonso, that everyone believe he's the new Sir Alex, like this disrespect on Manchester United is becoming too much, the management should better do something.
Personally, i would choose Como if they had to face Manchester United against Como, because Como has a game that is perhaps more youthful, but certainly more offensive and more concrete also in team play, while Manchester United continues to not convince even if they have obtained a few more victories. i can't see it as a compact and self-confident team.

I also think he was very successful at Sporting Lisbon. However, the level of difficulty in the Premier League is higher than in Portugal; that is something to consider. The opponents Manchester United faces are much stronger than those in Portugal. Amorim didn't manage to achieve what he wanted at Manchester United, but he has now embarked on a final bid to salvage his career with Milan. I hope to see him succeed as a manager there.

The problem of United is not the coach, the problem is the defence. United failed to get defenders during the transfer window, and now we can see how it's affecting them. Carrick is a good manager, and don't see any reason why he should be sacked.
Fabregas should simply stay in Como, continue to coach Como because he has given in his image and likeness what he had in mind as a true way of playing. In fact, Como reflects very well what Fabregas requires of his players and this is also why they managed to qualify for the Champions League last year, thanks to excellent performances. Fabregas should under no circumstances go to Manchester United in this period because it is still in a chaotic phase.

They'll try to persuade him, with a tempting contract but i don't think he'll accept the offer, i also feel they'll go for managers without a job currently people like Conte, Nagelsmann or someone with their kind of potential, cause i feel they'll approach people with more experience and good coaching record. If Fabregas leave Como for Manchester United, it might end up being a very big mistake, no manager would find it easy offer there expected the Glaziers and Ineos change their pattern of management.

Zubimendi has to leave from Arsenal to step up his career. [...] It's such a waste to see a good talent like him is not being utilized by his current club. Why can't he just leave, then join Madrid for the good?
Normally, he can't leave that easily since he's still under contract until 2030 and AFAIK, his contract with Arsenal doesn't have a release clause... Having said that, if the rumor of Arteta being fine with him leaving in January is true, then they can just terminate his contract. - FWIW, given the amount of injuries that Arsenal players normally get, it makes me believe he's going to get more playing time in the near future.

To be sincere I do think the both Spanish players in the Arsenal team who are Zubimendi and Mikel Merino needs to start looking for other options because with the current Arsenal squad most precisely the midfield they will have lesser playing time because with likes of Miles Lewis Skelly who obviously looks like the manager has permanently looked to use him in that midfield and then there is the Guimaraes who just arrived from Newcastle and I do think he will be very well the partner with Declan Rice, although now Lewis Skelly is starting ahead of him but I do think he will be in that starting position soon

When Xabi Alonso went to Real Madrid, he felt ready for the challenge, but he went to a very unconvincing club and above all in a very disorderly phase. I disagree: basically the only experience Xabi Alonso had was coming for a few years as Beyer Leverkusen manager. That's it. Sure, he made a miracle winning the Bundesliga and taking the team to the Europa League final, but is that enough to manage the most important team in the world? In my opinion, no. And we all saw what happened. He wasn't ready at all and he put himself in a dressing room he couldn't manage.

Xabi Alonso was not a very experienced manager but he has certain skills that can influence a team. Alonso should have taken such a big gamble at the beginning. He took the risk/challenge of being the manager of a traditional team like Real Madrid. He was in charge for only 7 months but was not able to fully take control of the dressing room. Real Madrid probably had a lot of talented and arrogant players which is why Alonso could not maintain control over these players. We have seen that in the last two seasons he became a part of the instability of the Real Madrid team and he could not survive that instability. After taking charge of Chelsea, Xabi is trying to do better and he has been successful in most of the matches. Perhaps he can do better because he has made great progress in attack since taking charge, now he needs to work more on defense.
