I'll try buying the boards with another email and see if he tries to sell them.
If he does I'll see what craigslist people can do as I'll have evidence of his scam

Start the conversation with a new email and if successful report him to the police, they might be willing to trace the location he's emailing from...

someone should make a giant wallet blacklist

Hmm that gives me an idea, how about a wallet WHITELIST? Sure that kills anonymity and decentralization, but serious businesses don't need anonymity anyway.

So you sent your money to someone you never met, over an anonymous payment network? You can contact law enforcement, but even if you said you said you wired $5000 of real dollars with Western Union to a Nigerian Prince, there isn't much they can or will do. The won't even go bust someone who stole your cel phone when you have their GPS location and a picture of them.

Search Google to find other scammers (selling a preorder for bitcoin payments only, no phone number, etc):
site:craigslist.org asic bitcoin

The highest likely IP address is http://www.speedguide.net/ip/184.5.139.15 , a Centurylink in Charlottesville, Virginia, however the other two payments that have been sent from the address have had relay connections in England and Germany, so the person likely knows how to anonymously scam.

You're SOL. All you can do is spread the word on the site you bought from him on in hopes of preventing others from meeting the same fate.

Track him down and pay him a visit? Smiley No, you are pretty much out of luck. I'd never pay someone I didn't know or a reputable vendor for anything with BTC. Unless it's done in person.

Good luck!

Send him an email asking please for a refund, as you see that ASICs won't ship for a long time. But first go to spypig.com and get a tracking image you can put in the email you send so you can get the person's real IP address.

Thanks for that, I got his IP, his location, the type of computer and browser he is using. He is in Wisconsin. So what should be the next step? Should I report him to the police or something?

No, there is nothing you can do from an address.  I suggest you know who the people are, buy through a system, or do whatever you can to get it back on your own.

There are websites where you can see if the IP address is a Tor exit node - if it is, then the information is useless. You can at least use the information to more forcefully demand a refund.

Yeah his ip isnt on the list. And i am conversing with him now. have been checking his ip every email and it has changed, becuz he changed computers. He claims to be in virginia for some emergency, and is willing to meet me if I drive down there. Should I agree to that and if he is serious about it, report that to the authorities, after deciding on a location and time? Or am I going too far?

Unfortunately Craigslist is full of scum, this guy could be anywhere.  He's most likely trolling you on the meetup. Have a nice drive and enjoy the day if you like.  My bet is he won't be there when you arrive.
