This only has the PCI-E connections, you would still need a PSU, that can power the risers aswell
There's PCI-E powered risers, but yes you'd still need a low wattage normal PSU with it, overall cost is down, and efficiency is up. I see that it has only 8 PCI-E slots, but for six cards you'r gonna need a total of 12 slots.

If you dont want to use splitters I suppose, but I fail to see the point considering you need a normal PSU anyways.
I did some more power testing. The power draw per card from the wall (measured by plugging both the riser and the 8 pin power into a dedicated 94% eff power supply and multiplying the reading by .94)
Is 138W (eth only, 0.84V). 50W of this is from the PCI riser!

pci slots can draw up to 75 wats , even if your card was plugged into the board mo riser it would still draw close to identical wattage frome the slot

What drivers are you guys using for the 570 with the mod ROM? Any issues with RELIVE due to MOD roms?

There are 580's with XTX and XTR chips, XTR ones are more or less handpicked with lower default voltage and higher clocks. This is all we know so far, this is undocumented feature.

I'm using the leaked press release drivers because I'm having issues with the newest drivers on Claymore http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=5420996

Wow that's interesting. I wonder if gpuz shows which chip you have.. and if like all gpus of a certain model (like for example msi 570 4gb armor) are all the same "chip type"

Some cards with XTR chip: MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X+ Asus ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 TOP Aorus Radeon RX580 XTR Sapphire Nitro+ XFX GTR-S Black Edition Source (finnish, sorry guys): https://www.io-tech.fi/artikkelit/amd-radeon-rx-580-570-polaris-20/

How much reduces timelife of GPU when you biosmod it? Also you've a picture of Dualmining? Just for P0rn

How the hell can you guys mine that high with such a low power consumption ?!
My MSI 580 Gaming X is pulling 28 mh/s + 1100mh/s DCR and it takes around 200watts
Would anyone want to give me an overclocking lesson? I guess it could be very usefull and I could pay for it...

I never have do Biosmod but i see that is something with Power Limit + Core Clock + Core Voltage. Look at youtube (It's free)

Undervolting the piss out of your card, and balancing how much performance you're willing to give up. Consider: 1MH/s ETH = 30W 10MH/s DCR = 6W (obviously these figures change and are dependent on your local electricity prices, but is a good guide) What this means is that if you sacrifice less than 1MH/s Eth and save 30W, you're profiting. So if you clock down to 1100mhz lets say and dual mine 27mh/s and 1000mh/s DCR, but this lets you drop your core coltage down to 0.8 and you now only pull 150watts, you're profiting (and extending the life of the card)

What are the dual mine speeds? (stock and modded). All topics only mention ETH mining..
I've been continuing to tweak and also optimizing for dual mining. So far: Eth: 30.5 Mh/s Dcr: 1130 MH/s VDDC: 0.877 Core: 1300 Mem: 2100 Mem voltage: 0.9 Strap: Custom mix Mem Errors: 0/min Power: 125W NOTE: If you don't undervolt/limit power, it easily dual mines 30.5 MH/s + 1450 MH/s Dcr Can you post the custom timings string? These of course are the same chips as before some optimum strings have already been found, but I like this one due to only needing 2100 MHz Very nice target to get 30.5 MHs

not good results at all. my power color red dragon rx480 8mb is doing 30mhs@70w (gpu-z), sapphire ref-like rx470 is doing 28.8@73w (gpu-z) - ethereum only mode
did you set the timings straps to 2000 ? or just OC ? or both of them custom timings (but public available, not private, private even better I think) rx480 is clocked 1170/2050, rx470 1100/1980. voltage 0.88-0.9. Very stable and happy )) and the queen - sapphire nitro+ 480 8gb samsung 1170/2200@0.88 @ 80w gpu-z 31.5mhs eth
