hello,
iam completly new in mining coins.....
i only have a short question....
i have an new laptop with Intel Core i7-7700HQ and GeForce GTX 1050.
it is running the hole day 24/7.....
i think if it only run, it take less power, then if cpu/gpu in max. usage ? ......
make it sense, to mine a coin with it ? and if yes, wich coin is the most profitablest atm ? what can i earn per day ?
thank you very much !

Do some bench-marking or just use the nicehash miner, the other option is to do some research that will tell you what you need to know.

Completely depends on what you pay for power. If you don't pay for power, it is all profit, if you do than just make the calculation.

thank you !
i have try nicehashminer..... it only can mine btc ? and that is not really profitable.....
i think i pay around 0,25/kwh.....
the thing is, the laptop is ever running 24/7....(without mining, too) but with a mining-program it uses more power, right ?
wich coin is the most profitable one atm ?

Nicehash mines different algorithms but pays you in BTC which is nice. 0.25/kwh is a lot. It'd be hard to get profit on that price. But I think its possible, not with laptop usually though. Yeah when you mine it uses much more power depending on your laptop.

Yeah 1050 is not the best card for mining, but its possible. I am not very competent with LTC so I'd rather not reply. But my guess would be standard GPU mining in LTC is not profitable anymore.

ok, thank you !
i think the same for Ether and Monero ? !
Ok, if it not really profitable, then i better forgott it (;

It's not as profitable with your laptop gpu, also the risk of frying your gpu is way beyond the gain of mining with it.

With that processor maximum you will make is about 0.20 dollars per day. I have a Fujitsu E Series with i7 4610 MQ and it does 0.18 dollars per day with Nicehash. Also the Gtx 1050 is not that good for mining, the 1050 ti desktop version does well at 100 Mhash when mining LBRY coins.
It is never recommended to mine with a laptop though as it will burn it down in 6 months maximum if you keep mining 24/7 with it.
If you had a desktop with i7 7700k and a GTX 1050 ti you would make about 1.5 dollars per day with it and without the risk of ruining it in such a short time.

OK, so by googling I found that your card would get about 13 MH/s with ethereum and with your electricity cost you'd get roughly 35 cents a day.
This doesn't mean that I'm telling you to go for it.
1- Mining uses 100% of the gpu of your computer. This isn't good for a laptop at all as it will run at high temperatures for a a long time (might reach 90 'C)
2- It's not worth it. You'll end up getting nearly no money for the damage that your computer might receive.
I recommend you build a mining rig if you are really interested in starting to mine.

thank you very much !!!!!!!!!
your where a great help !
in this case it is better to let it be (;
iam not really interested in start mining, iam interested in earning some coins -> make money .......
is a miningrig really profitable, with this costs of electricity ?
i think for around 400-1000$/month, i need a big rig, that use much of power..... then i need to buy the parts and so on, invest time to build and so on...... and with each day it is less profitable ? or iam wrong ?

i have searched a little bit.....
a 450MH Miner costs around 8000$ and makes around 450$ profit per month .......
so i would need 19month to mine the money, for the hardware....
i think it is better for people, that live in a country with low cost for hardware and electricity ^^

True. for 1000$ you can build mining rig for mining nicehash or anything else. assume that good motherboard/power supply setup will cost you 400-500$ on its own, and then look around for GPU prices, and for GPU, pick them by profitabiltiy, if you plan on using nicehash, go to that nicehash calulator you already used ( https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc) and then calculate how much is it worth it for you, make sure to set the electricity costs to get accurate results.

I don't recommend mining on any laptop, they typically cannot handle the heat and stress over time. If your electric is that high you will need to have a serious mining rig in order to be worth it. You could build a dedicated mining rig with 6 GPUs and make a profit, even with high electric cost, but that takes a decent amount of $ to build and you need to know what you're doing with hardware and be prepared to handle heat dissipation, noise, and troubleshooting at any time of day or night.

you can also sell your laptop and claim it back from insurance as stolen. You can't do that to often but you will make more money than mining with it.

If the electricity price is lower than 0.2/kwh, it is quite profitable.

ok, thank you to all !
it sounds for my, that is much of work/stress..... with this electricity costs and so on....and it will take a while to repay the hardware ?.....
ok iam an electronics technican, but atm iam trade with cryptos and i think thats easier and more profitable, than to buy hardware, build a rig and start to mine !?.... and if i not at home for a few weeks (holydays or so on) i need to should the rig up.....

Please for the health of this poor little laptop you are planning to mine with, do not do it. Moreover a GTX 1050 will not make you much money, and you will kill your laptop.
But for regular miners, with mining rigs, yes, mining is always profitable. It just depends of your electrical costs.
