There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

CPU and GPU, whether it's some kind of Algo Scrypt, Equihash or other, to be honest I just heard that these Altcoins can change the Algorithm, maybe I don't understand that, but it's interesting to change it for the better where everyone can mine BTX too

first we need to know which wallet version you have installed?
the current one is the v0.90.9.1
i dont have any issues with this version - my mn has been running for 100 days now.  Grin

Please let me know, I am using wallet version 0.15.2.0 do I need to update to version 0.90.9.5 or not? And if I don't run MN can I use bitcore-qt wallet version? Thanks!

If you tell someone who knows nothing about crypto "You need to buy some Bitcore" they'll say "Do you mean Bitcoin?"

Even Google thinks you mean Bitcoin when you search for Bitcore!

How many new would be BTX users get redirected to Bitcoin search results instead thanks to Google?

Great project apart from that. Definitely all for the GPU mining. Just needs a new name IMO.

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

The release for the new algo is onlince since 6 weeks ago.

Notes..

Forktime : 09/01/2020 @ 12:00pm (UTC) + 1 hour

The 1 hour is for the diff reduction. I enable today also a spork for the min proto version.
New blocks need one week for confirmation in the future. This protects the  exchange from accepting false blocks.

We really have been announcing this for a long time now.

No changes are planned for BSD. Unfortunately no developer has been able to build an external miner yet.

It looks like at the moment you can mine only with wallet built-in miner by using console comand
