So I have registered for the airdrops beyond the 30th October (and can see my address on the list).
There was some panic when I couldn't unlock my wallet. Turns out what I wrote down was not correct - I had made an error when entering it (twice the same error) to initially encrypt the wallet. Luckily as I knew what it should have been I was able to brute force it pretty quickly and realise that I had held the shift key down a little too long for one of the characters...

Anyways to my question. For the BTC snapshot on the 30th - will BTC held in a new SEGWIT address (beginning in a 3XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX...) work or do I have to move it to a legacy address (and pay the BTC transaction fee)? I have been having problems linking this BTC address to the ByteBall airdrop and I dont want BitCore be the same issue.

I installed now bitcore wallet for windows and looks good but it is still not synchronized and my internet connection is very poor. So i have to do something or just waiting. Because still 0 %  If i cant synchronized my wallet what will happend if i transfer from cryptopia to the wallet btx ? Can i do this and after week i will be with good internet connection but i want to catch the airdrop. I use satellite internet thats why.  If i do this and enter my wallet adress and sign message will receive airdrop on 30th october?

If your wallet is encrypted/locked and you don't know how to/don't want to decrypt it, follow these steps.  
1.Open Bitcore
2.Click file
3.Sign message.  

follow screenshot below.




When you click 'sign message' it will ask for your passphrase.

You can transfer right after the install. You already have an address. When you will sync - you will see the coins. And also you can sign a message before sync.

You don't have to be synced in order for you to sign a message, just sign msg and copy signature

Without signing the messages I can no longer participate in the monday airdrops? What about that one time 25% special drop on 30 October? Is a wallet verification mandatory for that one? And why do people have to verify their wallets? Is there any reasons for that? Do you want to get rid of inactive wallets/members?

We will write over 4,3 mio addresse in the bitcore chain. That is the reason for the registration.

Please stop saying "key". You need to copy the signed or encrypted message. The key is yours and should never be given away.

From November 2nd, the weekly airdrops will be paid only to registered adresses. You need to have a minimum of 10 $BTX in your wallet to get the airdrop. Download the wallet and go purchase at least 10 $BTX from the exchange.
