Bitcore has its own blockchain. The blockchain did not fork from the bitcoin blockchain.

I regret selling mine a few days ago for 140k sats 
now I cannot reap the benefit of holding BTX for weekly 3% monday airdrop
I placed buy order somewhere sub 100k, hopefully get executed before monday

What is virtual fork ? Please explain...

Virtual Fork = BTX Team make a Snapshot from the original BTC Blockchain. Team sends to every address with more than 0.01BTC now BTX in the Ratio 1:0.5 BTC/BTX on the BTX Blockchain.
When you import your private key from your BTC Address in your Bitcore Wallet have you the same adress with 50% of your BTC as BTX in your Wallet.

Please send your BTC to a other address for security reason before you import your private key in the Bitcore Wallet.
