If anyone still wants to buy. I recommend Bit-Z even though they require KYC for withdrawal. Cryptopia is having some trouble with their withdrawal process and it took me more than 2 days to be able to withdraw the fund out. They are extremely understaffed for support right now when I talked with their admin.
If you only want to trade on the same platform without withdrawing, Cryptopia might be fine though.

I bought BTC and sent them on cryptopia today. I exchanges them for BTX and send it back to the qt wallet. It took less than an hour (the whole process) and i already have BTX in my wallet ready for the airdrop. So I have positive experience with cryptopia.

And don't forget what bit-z requires documents verification and 2FA - so it can take 2 days. But after that btx transaction less than 30 sec.

Well, I just stated my experience with withdrawal from Cryptopia. Your mileage might vary. But I probably won't bet my luck on Cryptopia anymore as they make me losing money by getting my fund locked for 2 days. KYC at Bit-Z doesn't take up to 2 days, took me about 6 hours to get it done.
Absolutely right. It depends.. In my case it took 16 hours for verification and 24 hours after 2FA installation. But now I haven't any question with bitz - all very fast.

For the guys that have been around for a while, Why is this coin so underrated compared to BCH, BTG? For what I can tell the devs have done fantastic work at reducing the size of the chain, ensuring stability, scaling transaction volumes, and speeding up transaction speeds. Everything segwit2x failed to due atm. The coin just seemed to be completely ignored for a better part of the year.

It doesn't have nearly the number of shills BCH has.

Do you think that is changing and do you think it can overtake BCH or be an equal. Honestly BTG seems like its going to be overtaken by this coin and its only on a couple markets.

I have used cryptopia for at least a year and never really had a problem with them, maybe twice they had maintenance so the wallet was offline but 99% of the time the withdrawals worked in under 5 minutes. They might be getting slower as they have more traffic these days but I'm sure they will add more staff if the traffic is consistently high enough.

It might be right back then but in my case, it took them 1 day to reply the ticket, and another 1 day to manually push the transaction. I talked with their community admin on Discord and they are having an influx of newcomer due to recent promotion and being understaffed. That's all I can say, pick your own choice though. In my case, I got unlucky with an error in their withdrawal process, if you are lucky, nothing to worry about. But my main point is still that they are lack of support at the current time and won't be fast if you need any help.

there's no agenda. the only reason bcash exists is because of that agenda.

also it's a different type of mining in a much more competitive area.

bcash came into existence when everyone was already fully aware of forks so it got max exposure.

it also doesn't have the personalities and companies that bcash has behind it mainly because bcash is the main vehicle to express their beliefs.

What do you think the future will hold for this coin?

What do you think the future will hold for this coin?

bitcore? dunno.

you could argue because it doesn't have that power behind it it's not gonna go far, but in the long run that's all bcash has and i really can't see how much further it can grow unless it starts coming up with some actual cool stuff.

bitcore looks like they're gonna be the more nimble bitcoin that's the first to run new technologies. when you include gpu mining that's gonna make it attractive to many more people than are involved now.

no one can answer your question though. that's my guess is all.

I'm trying to sync the core wallet but it will not connect to any peers so it wont download blocks.

We need more people running the bitcore wallet.
I'm having the same issue. I just restarted the core-wallet and then it found some peers. However, we need to find a smart workaround for that...

 this also does not work.
last time I was helped by a full reset of the purse, the synchronization ended in 40 minutes, but I do not want to do it every time.
Now within 2 hours no connection.

upd:
windows.bitcore.installer  work!!!
thank you dev!

Well, this is not an official fork if you want to see it in a technical way. So it generally takes less media attention. not a lot of big player voice their support for it also. The devs did this before forking become a hot topic like it is nowadays. BTX was never intended to compete directly with BTC while other two more or less trying to take the head on approach with more political argument against BTC.

To be clear, this one is considered altcoin, don't get the wrong idea that we are here to replace BTC in any case.

I have a feeling that this coin can be big. This dev team is probably one of the most talented. This massive price jump I think will attract alot more attention and can maybe pull old ETH miners and other miners to it as it well.

When I try to register for the airdrop, I get this error:
Error: BTX public key or signed message not valid

I've had this before in the past, back then it was a server side problem with certain adresses if I recall correctly. I'm signing from an uncompressed address.

(I already asked this question a few days ago, but the thread is going so fast it got lost many pages back)

Do you sign it correct with the singning-msg created with the Bitcore wallet?
I signed it correctly with Electrum. BitCore doesn't have it's own message signing convention, does it? I assumed it's still compatible with Bitcoin signatures.

imho you need to sign with your bitcore wallet.

I know it won't replace BTC, otherwise the hash will be SHA256 and neither will BCH. If anything I think BCH will probably crash and burn in the long run. I think this can be become an ETH like coin.

ccminer-x64 -a bitcore -o stratum+tcp://bitcorepool.cc:1111 -u YOURKEY -p x

What happened? Why price growing so much? 2 weeks ago price was 5 usd and now more than 30 usd  Shocked

I am also shocked but happy that I held it. I was about to dump my coins just a few days ago and then thought that I don't need the money anyway. Paid off, lol! Good stuff!

They have 1,195,602 BTX circulating coin and total 16,625,338 BTX. So, price very big right now in anyway and will fall soon...
