I predicted $5 and we hit it, then $1 and we crashed into it, then $.50 and broke right through it and I’ve been saying for weeks $.25 is looking very likely.

We’ll see if we hit that soon cause if we do then the next stop is very likely $.10.

This is probably the biggest % loss I’ve ever had on any crypto.

Why do yo do so? Why? It's your blame. You see that your prediction becames true.
Predict $50 or $100 to make all BTX holders happy  Cheesy

Ok.  $1500.

Fast and Furious...  Wink

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

the main bitcore-specific contributors I see across the project and all of these subprojects are (in no particular order) :

dArkjON ( https://github.com/dArkjON ) - 339 commits over the past year.  this is "Jon"
dalijolijo ( https://github.com/dalijolijo ) - 1,386 commits over the past year.  this is "David"
TheTrunk ( https://github.com/TheTrunk ) - 624 commits over the past year.
joshafest ( https://github.com/joshafest ) - 60 commits over the past year.

so it looks to me like there are 4 active developers on the project, at the current time. This is open source so new people could add themselves and others could fade away, so the number of active developers at any one time is not set in stone.

Wow, that’s a lot of commits for 1 year for a $10MM coin - talk about a dream team.

Regardless, no marketing blown deadlines, no merchants - if BTC has another leg down we could see $.25 or less.

Sadness...

You are right, the trend is that the price may be even lower. But I hope for large holders who have accumulated all this time.
The fact that large holders continue to keep coins does not affect the growth of value in any way, this only slows down the fall in the price of Bitcore. Buyers needed.
My thoughts are that big coin holders have an impact on the market. And when they decide that the time has come to take active steps.

this is probably gonna be how most airdropped coins wind up. byteball is doing terrible too. if there is a next time i'll cut and run while the going's good. the real proof of the pudding is what happens when things turn to the upside again.

It will be left in the dust and there will be another round of shitcoins that ride the wave... That is if we indeed do see another bull market. I think people really got hurt badly by this one as opposed to the other bear markets that preceded this one.

in for the tech rite `?

What tech? Copied BTC code with increased blocksize and decreased blocktime? Big deal.

implementation of both SegWit and compatibility with the Lightning Network 4.5 months earlier than BTC could only happen if that tech was done by the bitcore team and not the bitcoin team, unless the BTX team has figured out how to travel backwards in time. For the "4.5 months earlier" source see their whitepaper, p.11, 14-15

the retargeting algorithm is different and unique to BTX ( "Core Shield 64_15" ). this solves a difficulty that BTC has with unpredictability of blocktime which occurs when miners switch rapidly between bitcoin and bitcoin forks in a search for higher rewards.  You can read about this in their whitepaper, p.12

BTX also has Bloom Filters activated. This helps reduce the space needed to hold a full blockchain node, which means that more people can participate in the network. See the whitepaper, p.4.

you can access the whitepaper here : https://bitcore.cc/resources-placeholder-dummy/white-paper/  (what's up with the "resources-placeholder-dummy" in the URL? odd.)

the mining algorithm is different - bitcore uses TimeTravel10, which provides ASIC-resistancy while allowing GPU mining. BTC is not ASIC-resistant.  ASIC resistancy helps to reduce centralization of miners - see https://en.bitcoinwiki.org/wiki/TimeTravel and https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/29975/what-does-it-mean-for-a-cryptocurrency-to-be-asic-resistant for more info.

the work required to do all of this means that there is more to the implementation of BTX than a copy-and-paste of BTC with minor size configurations.

It’s been an action packed at the Malta Blockchain Summit. Bitcore BTX, partner and exhibitor of the summit, was there at Summit in booth no.200.
Boasting 8,000 delegates, hundreds of investors, 100 speakers and 300 sponsors and exhibitors, the Malta Blockchain Summit was one of the easiest ways to build up new professional connections with payment services, exchangers and other services. The summit was very productive and full of surprises.

Some quality irony right there, coinsmarkets with expired host and plenty of scam accusations and tradesatoshi with 88$ trade volume within 24 hours.

No, they didn't and the types of people hurt are far different. Before it was simply something for nerds and anarchists. This one burned some of the mainstream folks and they will most definitely not be back. There are stories of people having hundreds of thousands in tax bills but not being able to cover it due to the crash in price since January. I don't think people like that will be back.

Your humor is very subtle and to the point. But you need to understand that partnerships do not bring immediate results. The main thing is development.

I understand this completely. What you need to understand is that without quality market(reliable, accountable) where you can safely buy Bitcore, it's impossible to gain organic growth, organic growth do not exist without a constant, reliable market. Every coin that was scammed by existing exchanges throughout the year using all kind of tricks, obviously got in the hands of those who scammed them.
Development and partnerships are awesome, but they get hammered by the huge loads of coins that were scammed by existing and vanished exchanges. And again. And again, until there will be a reliable market.
