The regular wallet (mist/geth) took up 20gb the last time i tried it and either has to be running all the time or takes hours to update to use (from what i remember)

Any alternatives, especially liteweight, out there besides just storing them on exchanges?

I now store my ethereum online on a  PARITY and MY ETH WALLET moved away from the desktop wallets.. they just take too long  to sync and all that
plus ransome malwares like the WannaCry emerging which i believe could easily damage wallet backups i think i made a good decision.

I am using myether and I find that it is very easy to use. They give us the data file and also give us the privatekey. Keep them safe and backup it because one day you might lose them.

I stored my ethereum in 2 wallets first is coinbase I use it few months ago when the coinbase listed ether in their wallet before I use exchanges site wallet and if the price sell direct selling. But storing altcoin in exchanges site is very risky because they have many senerio the trader hold their altcoin ti the site after few days the altcoin gone. I also use myetherwallet I transfered the 50% of my total ethereum in that wallet because I think that is more safe because you have only private key and you can open your account the hacker cannot open that because you can know only your private key because no one can know . Except to you.

Myetherwallet is the place i store most of my coins as it is really easy to use and since coinbase started accepting ether and litecoin i will be planning to store some to their wallet and majority of the coins which i am saving for the long term will be saved in paper wallet as i am not planning to move the coins for now.

Into my etherium wallet so I can use for trade fast. But if I feel something wrong I choose to exchange my eth become currency ( $ ) and saved in the bank. Everyone have different opinion about where they save their eth, but it's normally. Keep your wallet pas and ID far away from everyone and always change the password every 1 - 3 month for safety. Have a nice day.

Doing paper wallet very similar to bitcoin. Then keep it in a secure place. Never share private key to others.

Paper wallets + Ledger Nano S + Parity/Mist.
Paper wallets? I didn't think that you could make Ethereum paper wallets. Mind sharing the site/software?
Also, does anybody know of a creditable "light" wallet for Ethereum?

i prefer storing ethereum on a online wallet like myethereum i dont use wallet that needs to be sync because i am lazy to wait for the blocks and hackers cant get into my wallet unlike desktop wallet
Yes that is the right decision, as I personally do not like to pass through different process for depositing and widthrawal of my Etherium. therefore  personally I also prefer to store my Eherium in online wallet that is really very convenient for me to use it.
