A new technology called RAIDA (Redundant Array of Independent Detection Agents), used to detect the authenticity of a new cloud-based cryptocurrency – CloudCoin, has received a provisional patent in the US, and now aims to challenge the technology standing behind Bitcoin.

CloudCoin and RAIDA aim to challenge Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. The RAIDA project was launched by Sean H. Worthington when he applied the rules of data integrity used in databases to create a philosophical model for a perfect currency.

There's nothing on consensus mechanisms in any form on the site, nor anything about the code. I've seen similar "comparison lists" on the OneCoin site. Unless they come forth with anything that actually addresses these basic and fundamental issues, they are uninteresting whatever their other claims. They seem to aim their marketing at people who have read some news about cryptos who do want to get rich, but want to do this without any risk. Crypto without cryptography makes no sense.

It only appeared better because no one was actually using it yet.  Send a transaction with a coin that has super low transaction volume and it'll be easy.   Just because of that these coins can get away with spouting loads of crap about instant transactions and boast about their supposed superiority to Bitcoin.

It seems to me that of all the crypto currency is bitcoins have a future, so that there is not invented and not patented, then no one will succeed.

We see that bitcoin also has a number of disadvantages, so it is quite logical that people are looking for alternative ways to improve the cryptocurrency. We also see that something new is constantly emerging in cryptocurrency. Even we on this forum hardly manage to keep track of all the new processes that take place in it. Therefore, it is quite possible that over time, a cryptocurrency will appear that will far exceed the capabilities of bitcoin.

See, I have to differ with you... DASH is one of the Privacy coins and it's use case is clearly targeted at a niche market.. where people need more anonymity. One of the places where you will see it's use case, will be the DarkNet and these underground market places.

A lot of these new coins pitch some mumble jumble to create some new niche use case and then they start with the hype to tell people that it will replace Bitcoin or it will blow other coins out of the market.... but it seldom happens. (Cloud computing is the latest buzzword in the IT industry, so these developers just jumped onto that bandwagon)

This is promising but at the same time, the scares that cloud mining scams did are still in the air and anything with a cloud in it's name is going to suffer the skepticism and fear that Cloudmining imprinted.
