Hi,

I'm trying figure how this hosting craziness to get GUIminer to connect to my slushpool account. Slushpool guided to use this:

stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

However I'm not sure how to exactly input this, maybe "us-east.stratum.slushpool.com"? Nothing I'm trying is reflecting with any activity on slushpool's site.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Guiminer only mines CPU and GPU on the old mining protocol. CPUs and GPUs cannot meaningfully mine bitcoin today and the old mining protocol is no longer used either. So you cannot mine with either the hardware or the software you're using.

GUIminer is very old software
no1 it supports only GPU and CPU which even the cheapest ASIC on the market will beat the pants off the highest end GPU
no2 GUIminer last i checked only supports getwork which was abandoned in about 2014 and replaced with stratum and no pools i know of support getwork anymore, so youd have to run a getwork-stratum proxy ontop of guiminer to get it to work.

if you really want to just try bitcoin mining then use https://bitminter.com/ as i said GPU and CPU mining is that pointless its less than worthless. you can get 5 year contracts for $1 that will beat even GTX1080ti's
