We should make a legion (because the police aren't going to help they don't accept Bitcoin as a reality) of hackers like members from Anonymous or LulzSec who fight for the rights of the people! LulzSec also accepts Bitcoin donations so they might fight for us. Just an idea for like a BitcoinPolice force people would need proof of the payment being taken out and then they can talk to the BTCPD (BitcoinPoliceDepartment)

First, fuck Lulzsec. Thinking they fight for the rights of the people is laughable.

Besides that, I agree. There are some good people already looking for exploits, and probably just as many blackhats. We just don't hear much about it.
Edit: I don't agree. I thought this was about gathering a group of hackers looking for bitcoin exploits.
Carry on

Some members of Anonymous and Lulzsec are robbing wallets and attacking sites of bitcoin markets.

Do not see how these people can help

In my opinion, lulzsec is not a real hacker group but some intelligence agency project. Maybe that that's also the case with the OP? The request is so stupid, it could come from CIA.

Paranoid idiots. Seriously, what's the goal for CIA is to conduct such acts that LulzSec does? There might be CIA or FBI informant (rat) among them, but they act like teenagers having lulz.

The fact that hackers are after bitcoins means they really have value! People want them, people will spend time to get them (even by hacking), so they are gaining even more momentum.

You can steal bitcoins only by hacking users. You cannot take over the network in a way that allows you stealing.

But you can take over the network in a way that will crush it and make it totally unusable.

I already know that. Repeatition is a mother of knowledge. Normal boys knows that too, so they are going after users (allinvain) not after network.

Not with any known supercomputer in the world, or even multiple of them.

Even the Tianhe-1 supercomputer would be pretty crappy for forging, at 7168 S1070 tesla gpu's, it comes to around 1.1 terahash per second, less than 1/8th or 12.5% of the total network power of Bitcoin.

And anything faster doesn't even exist at the moment.

This is discussed multiple times in other threads. Attack or compromise pools, buy all ATI cards you can buy, write disruptive Bitcoin client and the network will experience DoS.

And NVidia cards are crap. They are handicaped both in games and bitcoin mining.Nvidia are selling rebadged cards for multiple generations in the same time ATI are making new generations of powerfull and cheap cards. In past decade the opposite was true.
