I'm sure there will be a few celebrities that own or are involved in bitcoin or crypto currencies. Why wouldn't they be? It would also defeat the purpose of anonymous use of bitcoin if they were all shouting about it.

The introduction of celebrities in bitcoin is a clear example of the boom and growing popularity of a technology that offers great changes in the way in which the current world is conducted, and an opportunity for Distributed Accounting Technology to penetrate new niches of the hand of influential people in many areas of our society. For me the most influential has been Bill Gates which has transmitted more confidence to bitcoin users for give their good point of view.

I think it's good that celebrities buy bitcoins. This is a very good fact. Since when celebrities buy bitcoins, by themselves they attract the attention of ordinary people.

I see quite a few celebrities posting about bitcoin but usually it's just memes etc. Snopp Dogg posts about it from time to time on Instagram but I'm not sure if he holds bitcoin, but a while back I seem to remember him offering tickets or maybe his album for sale in bitcoin so maybe he does or it was just a marketing gimmick. I know the rapper Nas is involved in bitcoin investment as is the singer Pitbull I believe. here is a list of those who have a big stake in bitcoin, and are set to clean up if the boom continues. Tim Draper, Venture Capitalist. Tim Draper. Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, Investors. Barry Silbert, Venture Capitalist. Charlie Shrem, Entrepreneur and Felon. Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin Inventor. Uncle Sam.
None of these are really celebrities per sey and are mostly just tech investors or people already known for holding or being involved in bitcoin.

Celebrities and bitcoin don't match, at least the celebrities most people think of. People like Bill Gates and Elon Musk are celebrities that are likely to have some Bitcoins. Technology pioneers like these two are obliged and they owe it to this kind of technology to be involved with Bitcoin.

I know that many celebrities own and support bitcoins: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, etc.
Do any of these people explicitly stated that he is bitcoin owner or are using Bitcoin? Because from What I could see they spoke about Bitcoin couple of times. But AFAIK they denied any direct link to BTC so they are are not investing in cryptocurrency. Did something change here? And BTW do we classify a person associated primarily with business as a celebrity too?

Wow some real Necro posting going on here.... did not think my thread would get a second life. Since the start of this thread, I have not even heard of one new celeb that tweeted that they own or bought some bitcoins. I reckon they are all Fiat slaves then.

Who cares about celebrity anyway, they do not have the time to focus on these sort of activities as the crypto market will be too much to understand for them But i have seen tweets from Mayweather promoting some alt coin project and so he is one individual who invest in these markets,i am not sure about other celebrities who endorse these markets.

There are millions of people using and investing in Bitcoin. Stars and celebrities might be anonymous but there is a percentage of celebrities using Bitcoins theoretically.

well, if i was a celebrity i wouldn't let the world know what i'm investing in, BTC or not because these are just personal things and especially being under the lights there is no way i would tell to the world: hey! i have invested a million of dollar into BTC. What's the purpose of it?

I don't know if I'm 100% correct but there was an Indian Actor Amitabh Bacchan who invested in some sort of cryptocurrency, not sure if it was Bitcoin or not but it became a huge deal in India as the actor made a great fortune with the investment. I'm sure many celebs might have invested but haven't accepted yet, in the coming years they'll be many more celebs to invest and be public about it but as of now there aren't many who have come out accepting it.

Rapper and songwriter Nas, along with his manager Aymen Anthony Saleh, are investors in more than 40 startup companies including digital wallet company Coinbase and 500 Startups, the Silicon Valley incubator accelerating bitcoin companies. And they're just getting started.

I have no idea who are the celebrities that owns bitcoin now, maybe can someone state it? If his/her fame will help boost the bitcoin market in the future, it's a good thing.

bitcoin runs by itself and its fame now, does not look at who will invest, no matter who it is, the obvious fame comes from itself (bitcoin)
I don't think so if celebrity owns bitcoin, but maybe but they quite. To avoid intrigue. Because everyone can own bitcoin. Even most influential person in the world can own bitcoin.
