Yes. Its worth your money. But the current price right now is very high. Its not the right time. Just wait for it to drop a little bit. While waliting for drop. Just look for other altcoin to buy. They are cheap but profitable. But not profitable as bitcoin. Maybe XRP or EtH is the best choice for now. But its up to you if you buy now or not.

What's your time horizon?
If it's 5+ years, buy now and then save up to buy more. If it's less than 5 years buy Ethereum instead. Both are available via Coinbase (PM me for a referral link to get you some money back).

In my opinion its better to buy altcoins such as ethereum, monero dash, litecoin ,etc. I think these coin have good potential to grow in future.
You can buy different coins. Dont invest all your money in a coin like bitcoin or any other. Its so risky.
not all invest all your money in coinage as bitcoin very risky, certainly not so with the other coins, a bitcoin can under price of bitcoin because most high value of bitcoin, indeed it's true if it's so your choice because no one place can save money but rather to all but the security has to be seen |

It's worth getting into alt-currencies such as LTC (as we await Segwit to approach), BTC at the current price ($1600 USD) I'm unsure, it could go further up but it could also normalize soon back to a lower level. If BTC will go the route of Segwit I think we can see upwards of $2000 soon. |

No, not really. It's too little of an amount for Bitcoin at this point. There will be profit but IMO not justifiable. Because let's assume that buys you 2 BTC now, that will turn into 5000-6000 AT BEST after some years.
Look into other coins instead, such as Ethereum.
WAT?? While I do think we may be a bit too high to buy in at this second, $3000 isn't too small an amount to do it with. And I'd definitely stay away from the shitcoin market, which is overheating like every car I've ever owned. I say do it. I just bought a small amount myself and if I had more dough I'd be all over bitcoin. Like a friggin' cheap leisure suit. |

Buy some altcoin the best pick is ETH cause it's growing then when the price soar up.

Here I would like to tell you that Currently buy the bitcoin may not be a profitable thing , it is because the price of the bitcoin is already at high ( broken record of his history 2 times ). So here it will be better for you to use your money after some times when the price get down or just buy any stable and good altcoin My suggestion for the altcoins will be dgb , ripple , eth , dash, Trump , Blry etc . These coins have better support or millionaire in the world , so no more chance to risk to have these altcoins . Here I will suggest you for another altcoin that BTM , which will give Profit in the future , just buy at 25k satoshi to 30k satoshi and sell it at the rate of 45 to 60k Satoshi . |

Ethereum is still more riskier that BTC. It is arguable that ETH's price is that low, considered that value of ETH was around $13 in March and now it is $100. You base your assumption on hope that ETH will follow bitcoin path and grow to +$1000 and more while bitcoin will be only $5000 - this it is hard to predict. My stance is: ETH should be your short trading position and Bitcoin long. I used ETH as an example. There are many other great coins to invest into. These days there are quite a few promising ICOs as well. Still, Bitcoin is not a good choice with only $3,000 |

Yes it is worth to buy bitcoins even the price is already high now because there is still a possibility for bitcoin to reach even higher prices in this coming months because a lot of things are going well like the altcoin market that is also doing good and if their community will go and still support their altcoins then it will be a big help for bitcoin too because the main currency in altcoin market is bitcoin so its still a good choice to buy now and hold for a long run.

When people asked me is it worth to buy bitcoin at this point? My answer obviously will depend on their purpose. if you want to buy bitcoin as an investment then is that for a long-term investment or short-term investment? If you want to buy bitcoin for a long-term investment like for 15 years or so I think you should buy some right now. But for short-term, I don't recommend cause the price is too high and it's very risky, better to buy altcoins like ETh, dash or monero. Since you're holding huge amount all I can say is never put all of your egg in one basket, find other investments that really safe.

maybe it is worth but the main cause for bitcoin is the price so unpredictable and nobody will know the movement of bitcoin price year by year and even some people says it will profitable buying bitcoin and hold untill reach the particular price but you should know the risk too that sometimes our predictions are missed and you will lost your money but if you like investing with high risk then bitcoin is the right option

3k gets you like 2 btc, you need more cash/investment. imho btc will be huge in next 2-4 years., so you better get more BTC .
or you can always see what other crypto coins are doing good than before and invest in them.
