Trezor gets broad praise.

The reality is that there's no one best wallet. Different wallets satisfy different needs. This site does a great job breaking down the options based on what you need: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Good luck to you!

Any paper wallet generator will do fine.

For online generating:
https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/
https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/bitcoinpaperwallet/generate-wallet.html

For offline wallet generating:
https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org
https://github.com/cantonbecker/bitcoinpaperwallet

Those are some of the reliable ones.

I personally use this one: https://github.com/cantonbecker/bitcoinpaperwallet
But i am sure the other is as good as my choosing. You can't go wrong with either of them.

Don't pay for trezor or any other hardware. You don't need those. What you need is a piece of paper. Nothing more.

Ha, and a piece of paper can be burned or dissolved or eaten by your dog. It can be lost or stolen...and when it is it is not recoverable. Trezor, however does allow recover of the wallet in the case of loss or theft.

If you're going to say "never Trezor" give us real reasons why an alternative is better.

I changed my mind. You don't need paper neither. Just memorize the goddamn private key and you are done. It is free and you'll be making some hardcore brain exercises.

Brainwallet: Better than trezor in every way. Because you actually use your brain. Theftproof, hackproof, burnproof, shitproof, dogproof, offline and free. Not alzheimerproof, but when you get there you won't give a fuck anyway  Grin

Use Bitaddress.org and create some paper wallets offline {air-gapped computer} Then laminate it and keep in a safe place. { away from direct

sun light, because it will fade the text } .... A hardware wallet is not such a bad idea, if you frequently want to use those coins. Paper wallets is

only good for cold storage.  Wink

Good luck to you!

I.can recommend the KeepKey. Decent construction, extremely frequent updating of firmware, and works beautifully with Mycelium, which is another favorite of mine. And has ShapeShift integrated..

You will, however, get tired of entering that goddamned shifting pin number Wink you'll see
