Mine has been stuck since Friday.  I traded to pick up some SIA and DGB which I intended to trade out of on Bittrex and then get my funds settled into my regular portfolio.  When I withdrew I got the "Awaiting Approval" which is a security measure- ok, good and  well, better safe than sorry.  Of course right then the value drops in both of those coins and over the next day and a half I watch in horror as my funds shrink and shrink while filling out ticket after ticket- frantic- upset- losing money- and just crickets on their end.
I believe its a matter of being understaffed.  I don't really understand where those fees go but not into having appropriate levels of staff to resolve issues that affect peoples finances in a timely manner.
Its inexcusable that they don't have the staff to respond, and no cancel withdrawal either so if you're stuck well...I've lost a significant portion of my value during the lockdown. The rest of the market is way up and these guys can't manage a withdrawal or freeing of funds. So I'm starting a project.  I am making a portfolio on crypto compare that mirrors what they are holding against my wishes alongside a portfolio of coins I would get into at this moment with whats left of my value today- not what I would have had if they got it out right away but if I received whats left of my funds right now and I will posting my portfolios on cryptocompare under bctrader
I invite you to do the same if your funds are awaiting approval

Can anyone give me an opinion/advice on my situation?

I still have almost $30k worth of cryptocurrencies sitting in my Poloniex account, so it should be possible to get a lawyer to take my case, shouldn't it?

Here's what has happened so far:

I tried to increase my withdrawal limit about a month ago, but of course it's still pending, so I've been withdrawing $2k roughly every 24 hours and fortunately was able to get about $50k out without any major hiccups.

Now, though, Poloniex has started setting my withdrawals to "awaiting approval" like lots of other people's. I opened a support ticket (#285555), but of course there was no response, just the automated email, and of course the status of the support ticket was set to "awaiting MY response" immediately. Fun fun fun!

It seems to me that, given this situation, a court should already consider it reasonable to award a judgment for my balance plus legal fees. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I'm in this situation too. No way to get my money out of the platform. Ironically some people still can withdraw in minutes. I don't understand why.

Just wait for it and be patient it will not be instant withdrawal but would not take you 1 hour of waiting. Or else you set you poloniex account to verify first to your email so the transaction will go through and to be completed.

I think I read on Poloniex that they have halted any trades in Eth due to it being unstable.

ETH withdrawal.

They have disabled withdrawal and deposit for ETH, since it is in the Awaiting Approval then these money frozen until they make a decision (give it back or release to the address you have put) but instead of doing this next time it's better to convert in another coin and then withdraw.

They are doing this for BTC withdrawals too. Just saw a case where a user couldn't receive his amount less than 0.01 btc as it was awaiting approval since 1-2 days. Why are they manually approving transactions and delaying it? To save network fee?

If this is true, why not give a warning when I try to make a transfer out? /rhetoricalQuestion

I was just trying to buy something with 0.3 ETH, three days ago. Now I'm thinking it might be wise to get everything out. But in what format? BTC & ETH are really all I care about, and both are seeing delays?

I would love to know if a service like Shapeshift sees this and adjusts which exchanges they use on the backend.

How about we start a crowdfunding effort to hit Poloniex really hard? We hire a lawyer who knows how to get things done. First we get all their assets frozen, but do it the right way. Have the FBI raid all their locations and simultaneously arrest all the owners/officers to make sure the coins stay safe until the legal proceedings are done. I believe this kind of fraud is probably criminal, so we can seize the assets of the individuals connected to Poloniex as well as all company assets. This way we should be able to recover a significant portion of the money we're all out. Anyone with some legal experience want to help? Grin

I'd start making the assumption that whatever Poloniex is currently doing, it's likely an exit scam like you mention. They've been holding a pending withdrawal of mine hostage for nearly 1.5 weeks. See the link below. This hasn't been approved despite the Poloniex customer policy of manually approving within 24 hours.

Here's a link that demonstrates my transaction detail:
https://www.evernote.com/l/ArPjtTQYU1NEj4zdVkudaZ3jkO0SrcaDYwg

Here's the link that demonstrates that Poloniex is a complete lie:
https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000244844-my-withdrawal-is-awaiting-approval

Unfortunately, there's no support and when the team does finally reach you, they don't discuss the topic at hand, rather, they direct you to the resources section on support that doesn't help at all...

And you would be screwing the majority of people using poloniex without trouble. Good plan !
