This is just a theory, but Scrat could be the same person! John K is just his sockpuppet. That way he gets to have cake and eat it too. Generate maximum publicity using our signatures and disappear John K when it's convenient. I have no proof, of course.

Wildest conspiracy theory I've seen in a long time but it would explain a lot if it was true! Hmmmmm.

The thought had crossed my mind. Guess he's just very patient  Roll Eyes

Can almost see people starting to trade their winnings but that would require a lot of trust on the winners honoring the give away if John logs in and pays off a list.

I'm winner number 7. I would like to sell my raffle ticket for 0.5 BTC. You will receive 1 BTC if John K. comes back after his long hiatus. Please post publicly if you're interested and use my address on the official raffle thread. I will inform Scrat to replace/update the winners list with your address. Thanks!
0.25 BTC my final offer. This is more than generous. Don't miss this chance to profit!  Grin
I don't think John K is coming back here on this forum because its almost more then 3 months and have no response even Coins are still in wallet may be he expires  Sad

Dead man switch is great. That shows dedication to being a middleman but since he isn't dead then he is either supremely busy or supremely ignoring everyone.

I read somewhere he had setup a dead man switch with his lawyer. He's not dead yet. If he was dead, we'll all get paid.

From my experience it can take longer than 3 months. So this is still possible. John K told he has dead-man's switch in place:

I do have a dead-man's switch in place as all the addresses I use are cold wallets printed and stored physically in my safe. I regularly back my escrow list of transactions up to two off-site locations, and in the case of me and my family's incapacitation my family lawyer is authorized to release the funds accordingly with the list.

Maybe Scrat could add signed post with winning BTC addresses and amounts to original raffle thread
*FREE* 100 BTC Raffle by Coinroll.it
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223474.0

so the lawyer can see winners in this case...

Also, did Scrat actually PMed John K with signed winning BTC addresses and amounts ? He told he will once he get all the BTC addresses, but never confirmed he is sending it

The way this is dragging out, I wouldn't offer 0.1. I hope you get something though.

Sorry for all those that haven't been paid but I find it strange we don't have all the winners complaining. It's  been pretty quiet considering. Are people resigned to the fact it's not happening or is there something more amiss?

Most of the accounts that won were alts of a main account or accounts that stopped coming online. I'm sure the main accounts are complaining.

Unless you know the lawyer how can you know this info is right.    Someone who has disappeared said it was all ok and promised there was some backup system in place, sounds great but we would actually need the lawyer details.
Of course the lawyer thing could be a scam also but at least its a further person and trail to follow, seems there is nothing still

Not the best way to put it but it appears that is what he did. If that is the case then this thread should be closed.

I will ask a moderator to close this thread.

Is there any official information as to what happened here?

I was asked to help keep the signature contest honest by making up a random secret key and keeping it secret, and did so.

And now it has all apparently gone wrong.  Why isn't Scrat saying anything about it?  Or has he, and I missed it?

The last I heard was around a month ago when he asked me to sign a message listing the winners and their addresses with my PGP key, which I did.

Scrat already sent the signed list to John K. It appears he's just missing for all outstanding escrow. It's unsure if John is going to come back or anything. Apparently this raffle would have been better off without any escrow at all.

The move to new owners was in the works since early November 2013, 2 months before the end of raffle. John K. not showing up has been a big hurdle.

SCRAT ACORNS HAS SOLD COINROLL.IT AND LEFT

wow nice scam we got here then

Except it technically occurred prior to the end of the raffle, at least agreement. Although transfer was delayed pending resolution of a few issues including this one. It had to go throught regardless of current situation with John K.

Just back long enough to clean up the mess I left last time. It shames me to say this, but RL issues have been really unforgiving. Hopefully life clears up in the coming months...
