There were lots of people in the industry at the conference including popular collectable supplier HARDBTC.
It's entirely irrelevant who was at that conference. Minor coin assessment:
1) Metal used: Brass #Bad.
2) Condition: Doesn't look good from what I can tell.
3) BTC coin: No.
4) Jetcoin importance: none.
5) Asking price: Someone has been taking a lot of acid lately.

Oh and btw

The Jetcoin Platform will be built with NXT technology (nxt.org), delivering a unique and decentralised financial platform. Jetcoin holders are able to earn revenues through Jetcoin Contracts and its social media rewards system, P.O.S.E. (Proof Of Social Engagement) as well as access unique lifestyle experiences.

In developing the Jetcoin ecosystem of partnerships, deals have been made with top service providers like Samsung Sportsflow and Pogoseat to optimise fan experience and engagement in sport entertainment.

Main sponsor of Serie A football team, A.C. ChievoVerona, ‘jetcoin’ is a new digital fuel issued by the Jetcoin Institute.

A.C. Chievo Verona is a professional Serie A Italian Football club named after and based in Chievo, Verona, in the Veneto region. Visit http://chievoverona.tv

ogoseat is an enterprise solution for sports teams and concert venues that enables their fans to upgrade seats and purchase unique VIP upgrades during events. Pogoseat currently works with clients across the NBA, MLB, NHL, AFL, The Football League and NCAA all over America. Visit https://www.pogoseat.com

Thankyou for the info.

Regarding comparisons to Casascius.. you are looking at it wrong. You need to compare to other similar coins, coins that were used promotionally and are related to some non-btc cryptocurrency. There exist such coins for Monero, Peercoin, and numerous others. I can tell you, that while these coins are usually made in batches of 100 (which we can safely assume is the minimum mintage of this coin), there is virtually market for them now. On a good day one such coin might go for $100-$200. Considering this, my suggestion of several thousands is massive. I could totally see a rare coin like this going for many tens of thousands if bitcoin went 'mainstream', but not more, so it would be unreasonable to spend hundreds of thousands now.

b) Please add this remarkable coin to the next version of your book. If you decide to use the images i uploaded , i am pleased to say that i will not charge you for rights to use my photos of this gem.

Good to know; I can't say anyone has ever suggested that I should pay to use their photos.. if they did I would have a big laugh  Cheesy Cheesy
That said, please do feel free to PM higher quality photos to myself and minerjones, along with you name if you would like us to attribute it.
Also, I offer you a 10% discount on either of my books  Wink

If bitcoin goes mainstream and this coin gets tens of thousands of dollars i would be quite surprised.  I am sitting on a goldmine as we all are then.  Think its a bit unrealistic though for unloaded coins with little relevance to fetch that or even sniff that.  I could be wrong though.

You are correct; I think when i said 'many' i was more saying '1-3' tens of thousands. Still a huge stretch, but I speak of a scenario where all 'money' gets replaced with cryptocurrency of some form, leading to a huge influx of collectors. If we imagine that a scenario where a few hundred million dollars gets poured into collecting crypto-coins, then its going to be a fact that anything made in 2013/14/15 is going to have notable value, and more so if the coin is well documented with a small mintage and such. There are a relatively small number of pre-2015 coins made, so imagine if alot of money starts fighting over them.
Crypto-currencies are now at almost 55bn market cap. Lets say that eventually increases to a 1 trillion cap, or much more. 100m in the collectible market would not be out of the question. How many coins exist now? I guess you could add it up from my book, but even among 100,000 coins that's $1,000 average per minted coin in collector value.

I fail to see the logic though on "current" pricing.  I have to pay now the premium that this coin might have (super small chance).  If thats the case why dont i see my casascius coins for $100,000 now because thats what i assume the will be later.  See where im getting at.  Current value is what it is and the pricing now should reflect that.  Trust nothing more i would like to see is a jetcoin (sorry i still dont know what that even is) fetching insane money.  That would mean all the other coins would be fetching crazy prices too.  But for today May 2017 your crazy if you think that is what people should be buying it for.

I never said that buying for 2BTC would be a good idea, only that I could understand some serious collector offering that amount if they really wanted the coin. That said, Im sure there would be a buyer very quickly at say 0.5BTC at today's prices. In any case, 5+ btc for this is pure madness to even ask.

Here is a fun fact - did you know tickets for the inside bitcoin events cost hundred of pounds for a ticket?

Moving on.....I have some statistics for you wise guys - There are 7 billion people in this world.

There are 3 Jetcoin coins claimed so far.

Guess the supply to demand ratio if only 0.00001% of people decided to collect crypto coins in the future,

This coin is pirate treasure.

STOP IT, just cause there are only 3 (that have been claimed) doesnt mean anything.  Again i will mint a 1 of 1 coin does that mean i should charge triple no matter what because there is only 1 and you have a coin with at least 3 in existance.  Stop seriously

Edit:  in that case everyone go redeem your casascius 2011 coins and chuck the coin they are worthless, thousands were made...sorry

I think your a crypto coin collector who wants this coin,
you first claim that this coin is worth nothing so that the price is lowered, you then you buy it at the reduced price & keep it for a few years to later
sell on for a significantly marked up price. It is possible that you are trying to rip off us jetcoin coin holders. We are the ones with one of the rarest crypto coins.

By your logic, these coins should only be worth a few bucks,

Just dont want to see anyone get ripped off.  Good luck with your rare exotic coin

Your not fooling me bud.

See this is where you are wrong.  I dont want jetcoins, i am structly after all physical flappycoins and titcoins.  I happened to land a 1 of 2 flappycoin the other day which i got for the cheap price of 75btc so that made me glad.  Obviously the flappycoin is worth that because of the mintage and also was made in 2007.  The guy who sold it to me told me these were made in anticipation of bitcoin being created and then flappycoin. He then went off to his delorean, threw some banana peels in the engine and then disappeared.  True story
