I always have found that snakes try to move out of the way of the incoming boot.

If recent events prove anything, a snake won't move out of the way of a boot if it doesn't see it coming.

Aren't snakes usually the seedy, creepy, in the shadows types, like some politicians and such? Why should we feel sorry for them being stomped? Or is this an animal abuse issue, where people are stomping snakes, and this says that that's a bad thing, which I'd totally agree with (snakes are nice)

When I see it and think about someone stepping on it, the only thing I think of is *SPROING!* and someone bouncing off like Sonic off a spring platform.
