Hi guys,
I just want to start mining some altcoins cuz i see that i need very good hardware to mine Bitcoins, so i decided to mine Bytecoins.

My question is: with Antminer S5 can i also mine another SHA-256 coin. I read that Bytecoin is also SHA-256 based, like Bitcoin.

If i look over here: http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bytecoin-mining-calculator/?h=1000&p=0&pc=0&pf=0.00&d=377952.00000000&r=8428.63329634&er=0.00000020&btcer=1792.68050000&hc=0.00 I get like 600$/day, so... Is this right?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hi!

Bytecoin is under CryptoNight algorithm you can't use a S5 on it..

With this device you will earn ~1$/day (don't forget your electricity.. with it you will maybe lose money..)

600$/day was a dream with this device..   Embarrassed
Sorry..

You can mine other SHA-256 coins, but Bitcoin is usually the most profitable in a long run.

Unfortunately Bytecoin is not a SHA-256 cryptocurrency, like R0MD0C1 said above.

Thank you for your ansewers!
I don't want to mine with my PC, i would prefer to have a dedicated miner, what setup should i use to mine CryptoNight? Like Bytecoin and Monero for example.
