Hello Friend,
My father's assistant was affect by wannacry,his credit card was hacked and a transaction of rs930000 was made before he could block it.So the news of cards affected by wannacry is true.So better to be safe.

I Haven't seen any person in my contacts was effected by wannacry

some one year back one of my client got effected by the ransomeware as he used the tor browser and downloaded some files and then his all files got locked and it gave the same ransomeware messages but thank god the data were not important and we just deleted the partition and rebuild it with fresh partition and new copy of windows and now it is working fine.
