We have seen Bitcoin price barely touched $2,000 USD and by now price is just hoovering around $1,900. At this point in time, can we safely say that we may have seen the last of 3 digits rate of Bitcoins. Lets just hope nothing bad will happen to any exchange site out there due hack. This scenario happened last year with Bitfinex.
In fact after the last incident on the Bitfinex exchange, I'm not inclined to trust this project. And so I'm very serious about the price increase and now there is excitement whether it was specially so that after the growth the price of Bitcoin would drop.
I don't trust Bitfinex either, but at as long as there isn't anything bad happening from their side, we don't have much to worry about. Important is the audit of Bitfinex's solvency next month, to be precise, the 30th of June. If that comes out clean, then we basically eliminated a potentially disturbing factor in Bitcoin's recent growth. But then again, we still have the scaling situation hanging around somewhere....
