Personally, I buy ETH, LSK, Waves and CND. I think after half years the price will double, maybe even triple.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'm curious, I know there are a lot of traders on this forum.

But

1. How many of you folks are investing in and holding altcoins?

and

2. Which ones are they?

I often invest in ICOs because it's hard to predict which will be successful. Some ICOs are just like bubbles, they pump and dump in a short time. However, I hold a lot of tokens and coins, since I joined here there were some tokens and coins where I got from signature campaigns and airdrop that aren't registered or there's no sell order yet.

What I invest the most is on Ethereum , I see it from the start and I know that there is so much potential on that coin to become just like bitcoin  , Bitcoin was hitting more than $5700 usd today I feel that etherum has so much potential to hit also that kind of value someday.

I have a number of altcoins in my wallets, but the issue is that most of them are in exchange wallets. I never install altcoin wallets in my desktop. Can't trust them. I have heard that a lot of the altcoin wallets contain spyware.

And right now, these are the alts which I own:

1. Ethereum
2. Bitcoin Cash
3. Stellar Lumens
4. Bitcore
5. Bitsend
6. Byteball
7. Blackbytes
8. Litecoin
9. Deep Onion
10. Monero

I'm investing and holding waves, etc, bcc, Monero and IOTA.
I believe that it would be either waves or IOTA that will be pumped, but most probably it will be waves first. And also it will be unexpected for most of the investors as was happening on the ethereum boom because everyone was focused on other investments like ICO and altcoins.

I think that the best coins to hold are the ones that have own blockchain like ethereum, waves and Neo! Grin

oh gosh, thanks for the reminder
I just found out that I'm holding 30 different coins/tokens!!!
i would say it is too much to manage properly.
BTC, LTC, ETH, DASH, XEM, ETC, NEO, STRAT, SYS, XZC, SNT, DNT, ZRX
and a bunch of ICOs token likes KNC, HGT, BNK, GRF, DCT, SNM, WINGS and etc. etc.

i am holding RVT and IND and waiting for there price increase and earn some profit, and hoping for the best with these two coins. I am looking to buy some DGB and XRP because there prices are down and I can earn some profit by investing in them.

Now, low prices for almost all alternative coins. Therefore, you can choose any coin for long-term holding. But it's best to choose coins that have already shown themselves well. For example ripple, waves, wings, lisk
