So I'm trying to setup a rig for mining, I got RX 570 Sapphire Nitro+. Trying for days to properly mod it so, because I heard it can farm at 30MH/s with stability. Is that true?

Could someone write/post a tutorial with steps what to do? I've tried modding it with some other tutorials. With first, driver crashed once I edited VRAM values (1:1750 pasted over 1:2000) and restarted.
Found another guide with ATIkmdag patcher, driver didn't crash but my mining .bat crashed once I've set the Memory Clock to 2200. I've managed to increase it step by step to 2150MHz on Memory Clock and 1250 Core Clock. It mined around 26MH/s. If I increase the value of Memory Clock it starts to show those artifacts (screen tearing and random artifacts appearing on screen).

I'm working with one card while testing this, I got 9 more ready for a 2x 5xRX570 rigs.

Can anyone assist me with this?

Thanks a lot

Edit: Currently using Windows 10 for this, planning to use ethOS for final rig.

Anyone? Seems I've found out my GPU with Micron memory can't have it's BIOS modded... Is it's default hashrate the furthest it can go?

I have those and the bios can definitely be modded.  Try the 1750 strap with clocks of 1140/2050.  That's a pretty quick way to get you up to about 28.

Still the same, crashing once I start the batch file for mining.

Can anyone provide me with correct straps or with a detailed guide to how to properly mod them please?

Thanks

are you testing your modded bios with silent switch selected or you are trying on the main bios???
i have a rx 470 but seems who modifying the silent bios and using it, the setting are missed!!!

thanks alot for the share, but i am abit confused.
if we take for example this card the 8gb one https://anorak.tech/t/sapphire-rx-580-nitro/5017

it says Hynix Samsung, these are 2 differents memory chips, it wont cause a problem using the same rom for the different memory chips?

Cool, thanks.

Just a quick question, which one is better to have for mining ? Samsung or hynix? (And if they are known cards that have particular memory chip inside)

I've successfully modded the BIOS so it works stably at 27MH/s when mining ETH. I used SRBPolarisEditor and replaced the 2:1750 straps with 2: straps above. Set Mem Clock on MSI Afterburner to 1140 and Core Clock on 2000.

Working stably for 2 days now.

Mine RX Sapphire 570 Nitro+ has Samsung and Micron memories.

How is the Micron? I don't have them so I'm curious.
27MH/s for Samsung is pretty low. Could be 29+. Use performance timings or PM me.

In the last few days I set up an rig w/ 8x Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570. I'm pretty disappointed with them. @ stock I get ~24mhs running at nearly 1700 watts. Micron memory. Which is pretty normal, issue is with the overclocking.

I tried Windows 10 first, got them to work using a driver fix but couldn't adjust the memory/core clock settings in Trixx or MSI Afterburner. I also tried modding the bios, no luck, either ended up crashing in Windows 10 or there was no change in the hash rate. So I reverted back to the original bios.

Gave up in Windows 10, tried ethoOS, could not get all the cards to recognize. Tried PIMP, same, issues getting all the cards to recognized. Tried 1 card at time, followed typical troubleshooting steps, motherboard bios settings, risers, etc. No impact.

Then I tried Simple Mining OS, just because I was frustrated I started out with all 8 GPUs, and to my surprise they were all recognized the first time! How nice.

The best I can get now, using the overclocking settings in Simple Mining OS with all 8 cards is ~197mhs running ~1150 watts. Kind of sad. Have a few rigs each running 8x GTX 1070s in Windows 10, have no issues getting ~239mhs @ 1200w.

Here's what I'm using. I ended up having to adjust each one individually, they're all acting different. I could not replicate the ~29 mhs I'm getting on the last card with any of the others. If I run at stock settings hash is same as Windows 10, ~24 mhs @ 1700 watts. I might have to tune my last card down a bit too, is freezing once in awhile.

At this point I'm just tired of messing with it. Maybe it's user error, but I kind of think it has something to do with these cards. Don't have these kinds of issues with my GTX 1070s. I'm going to try my next batch of GTX 1070s in Simple Mining OS, if all goes well I may move my existing Windows 10 rigs to it.

Core/Memory/Mhs
1025 / 1750 / ~23.75 mhs
1050 / 1750 / ~23.75 mhs
1075/1850 / ~25 mhs
1075 / 2175 / ~24 mhs
1075 / 2150 / ~23.75 mhs
1075 / 2150 / ~23.75 mhs
1075 / 2150 / ~23.75 mhs
1130 / 2150 / ~29 mhs

I have bricked my OC bios with a bad image, tried a few bioses but they were not so good. So i had to go back on backup, standard bios...
Can someone share me a good bios for RX 570 Nitro + 8gb Micron memory?
Thanks a lot!

@Berque: After several hours of tweaking, reinstalling drivers, and experiencing cool OC crashes (this is my first time) I finally got some pretty decent speeds. Not really 29-30 that I was aiming for. I have the 8GB card with Micron.

The only Bios edit I did was copy 2:1750 to 2:1875 and 2:2000. Do you know how to do it yourself? I'd share the file, but can't see how I attach something here..

GPU Clock: 1135 Mhz
Mem Clock: 2249 Mhz
Volt: -150 mV
Power usage: 95W (GPU-Z)
Temperature: 62C

Hmm, it was running stable at 27.2 for a few minutes, but now it fluctuates between 21-26.6. I'll leave it running for the night to see what the average becomes. Now it's up to 27 again. Kinda weird. Does anyone know why? I'm using Claymore.s.Dual.Ethereum.Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal.AMD.NVIDIA.GPU.Miner.v9.7.

Good luck and let me know how it works out for you!
