For consideration: Full Member mendace: his posts sound like chatbot spam and thus plagiarism: No LoyceV I'm not a chatbot but a simple human being who prepares his answers during the day as soon as I have a free minute to then publish them in the evening. Although this may seem strange to you, yet it is so
Parts of the posts are copied from elsewhere, but each part on it's own is not enough to call it plagiarism. That makes me think it's a chatbot spammer, and if you check ] you'll find more similar posts.
You are right about him, I checked the posts you quoted from that user using AI Text Classifier and i got this result which I believe are more evidences of plagiarism and chatbot uses The classifier considers the text to be possibly AI-generated.Possible doesn't mean it was generated, just because they are complete and often very similar answers you're letting yourself be blinded by the smoke of a chatbot... I'm real and I know what my mind produces. All this is absurd here is my last post. free image upload

But I think it's generated from AI because it's quite hard to detect, self paraphrasing more easier to get exposed. Anyway he's joined a campaign managed by Royse777 and he's combating against of AI's generated post, let's see how he will do in this matter. I will try to report this post and look how the moderators will handle it. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is a global organization that aims to promote international monetary cooperation, facilitate the balanced growth of international trade, and provide resources to help member countries overcome economic difficulties. Its mission is to help ensure stability in the international monetary system, promote economic growth and employment, and reduce poverty around the world.
With regards to El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin as a legal tender, the IMF has issued warnings about the potential risks associated with the use of cryptocurrencies. The IMF staff has observed that the risk of Bitcoin has not materialized yet in El Salvador due to its limited use. This could be one of the reasons why the IMF has issued warnings to the El Salvador government.
However, it is important to note that the IMF's stance on cryptocurrencies is not entirely negative. They have recognized the potential benefits of cryptocurrencies such as increased financial inclusion, lower transaction costs, and improved payment efficiency. However, they also emphasize the need for proper regulation and risk management to ensure stability and protect consumers.
In conclusion, it's not entirely clear what motivates the IMF's warnings to El Salvador, but their concern could stem from the potential risks associated with the use of cryptocurrencies, which are still relatively new and not well understood. It's important for countries considering the adoption of cryptocurrencies to carefully weigh the potential benefits and risks and ensure that adequate measures are in place to mitigate any potential negative impacts.

Usually I choose 2/3 posts in the international section and during the day I discuss myself in order to be able to respond better in the evening when I get home after work. It happens that I post some pieces from articles on the net to be able to answer, if this is a problem I will try to argue better but I can guarantee that I am not or make use of chatbots. This is an inconvenience that I honestly didn't think about, but English is not my native language and so I was hoping it would be more understandable that way. Excuse me.

No LoyceV I'm not a chatbot I didn't mean you are a bot, but it looks like you use a chatbot to create your posts. but a simple human being who prepares his answers during the day as soon as I have a free minute to then publish them in the evening. Although this may seem strange to you, yet it is so How do you "prepare" your answers during the day? Are you telling me you read a topic, then think about it for hours, and then type it all at once? I find that hard to believe. The topic was created 3 hours before your post. Take this post for example: you talk about secure long-term storage. You start with hardware wallets, then cold storage, then multi-sig wallets, and continue by saying you need to enable 2FA. The latter has nothing to do with all the wallets you mentioned. The whole post looks like a dumb chat spam bot: copying bits and pieces of text from many different sources, and putting it together into a post that doesn't add up. It happens that I post some pieces from articles on the net to be able to answer That's plagiarism by definition. English is not my native language and so I was hoping it would be more understandable that way. The difference in English between your posts makes it quite obvious which ones you've written by yourself.

Plagiarism Using Google Translate translator from Russian text to EnglishUser: alevlasloYour parents would be exchanged for children who are not even conceived yet? And the children who already have would be exchanged for grandchildren who are not there yet? These are the most important issues that people prefer not to think about when they receive an offer to achieve a universal rejection of conception for the sake of immortality and rejuvenation.
The Holy Spirit forbade the knowledge of not only good and evil, but also childbirth and death, for which he endowed a woman with a hymen and birth pains in order to remind her of the prohibition.
The idea of building a paradise went away with the departure of the USSR, but now there is a cooler idea: restoration of immortality and rejuvenation! Congratulations, my dears, you have the meaning of life again!
Paradise cannot be built, it can only be restored in the same way that we left it, turning in the opposite direction.

Nature always reflects the will of the majority, scientists have noticed that the Earth's core has almost stopped its rotation and is about to turn around in the opposite direction.

Even if it is true your posts aren’t AI generated, you just admitted to plagiarism. @ Solosanz was right. Its surprising you are ignorant of the forum rules, the consequence of plagiarism is much higher than using ChatGPT to make posts. I’m curious how the mods will handle this case.

Is this a support forum or a judicial court? I don't understand why you are judging me, isn't it perhaps the goal of a forum to give answers? Where do you inform yourself? personally I have always read news on sites and many times I see that they are the same news written the same because they are copied, that's why you have noticed this but I NEVER ADMITTED to having used a chatbot.

Mendace is a very active, competent and helpful member of the Italian community. He's well connected in the Italian bitcoin community, even outside the forum. This is only to demonstrate he is not someone who needs the forum to grow his nickname. I read all the accusation and while I tend to stay as much neutral as I could, I would say his way of writing articles could lead to plagiarism accusations, even if the examples posted above wouldn't be resolutive in my opinion. Mendace already told us he is going to change the way he is writing his posts, adding sources to quotation (I am adding as a suggestions, thinking at the above posted examples) and taking a more personal interpretation of what he reads in the internet. I hope this is the result of his relatively "inexperience" on the forum issues and rules, but I am confident his posting habits will quickly improve.

I agree with fillippone's words, @mendace is very active both on the forum and also in various chats outside the forum. the way I see it and the way he wrote the posts, he only omitted to mention the source dictated by his inexperience on the forums, not let's make drama, it was enough to report the error

[...] he only omitted to mention the source dictated by his inexperience on the forums, not let's make drama, [...]
Plagiarism (presenting the work of others, as if it were your own) is not something to be taken lightly. It's a very serious offense, and one which mendace has both admitted to (maybe without realizing it) and failed to properly apologize for. Maybe it's a language thing, but he seems to be confused about what the issue is. I mean, after admitting to plagiarism: [...] It happens that I post some pieces from articles on the net to be able to answer, [...]
He then denied it: I'm not stupid and I haven't admitted any plagiarism. [...]
Anyone that goes through his post history can see that there are clear examples of lightly paraphrased material written at a higher level of sophistication (language-wise) than his other posts. I think the best way forward for him would be to take a less defensive stance and post something that shows that he really understands what the problem is, and how he intends to avoid it in the future.

I genuinely think Mendace lightheartedly overlook the problem of plagiarism rules. More than a post detailing what he’s going to do, next (something that i however encourage him to do), I think the best answer will be in his next posts, where he’s going to adhere to forum rules and principles.

I am taking this issue seriously, but I have been accused of plagiarism for using a chatbot. However, I explicitly expressed that I had only quoted a few pieces of the article without mentioning the source. I have already apologized for this. If quoting without attribution is not allowed by the regulations, I understand that now. However, I do not intend to discuss or defend myself further. After all, are we in a forum or a court of law? Anyway, I checked some posts from users who have been on the forum for a long time, and, as in my case, the bot classified them as generated by A.I. So, is it plagiarism? (I'm sorry frankly1, I'm not accusing you, but only asking for a good cause. You make excellent posts, and I respect your work.) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5439877.msg61766612#msg61766612

NO. Did he copy parts of articles taken from the web? YES .did he admit it?YES.for me it's more a matter of inexperience than maybe thinking he did it for notoriety or personal gain. This is not to defend plagiarists, but i don't find it right to punish without considering all the factors that caused it mendace's error.

Please do not rush to blame the forum members, otherwise we will get a witch hunt. I Googled a few AI detectors, but they can't determine EXACTLY who wrote the post after all. For example, in the screenshot there is a regular post in which a non-AI person clearly writes an opinion about another member. Such a text definitely belongs to a person, but the Detector thinks otherwise.

For example, in the screenshot there is a regular post in which a non-AI person clearly writes an opinion about another member. Such a text definitely belongs to a person, but the Detector thinks otherwise. This example is clearly non-AI generated as it contains several spelling and punctuation errors. The result is inaccurate due to an inadequate sample size. For example, versus: This is the best one b/c it is made by the same company that made ChatGPT: https://platform.openai.com/ai-text-classifierIt requires a minimum of 1,000 characters to give any sort of accurate results. It is difficult to use the results of any detection system as concrete proof that text was generated using AI, however, a comparison of the user's posts is often a pretty good indicator. If some of a user's posts have perfect English while others are far from it, its safe to say the user is posting words that are not their own, at the very least. Several of a user's posts returning likely AI generated by the AI Text Classifier substantiates the above conclusion. I think the best answer will be in his next posts, where he’s going to adhere to forum rules and principles.
He shouldn't cease his prior habits out of fear of getting banned or tagged, he should just stop obsessing over trying to get merits because its not healthy. This is a weird behavior that causes people to do very strange things, rather than participate in the forum on an genuine level as a human being.

This is a weird behavior that causes people to do very strange things, rather than participate in the forum on an genuine level as a human being. 1)In my example, the text size is sufficient because there are 82 tokens. And you need more than 50. Writing a text by a person is obvious to US, which is why I took it as an example. In the topic, we are talking about the Detector seeing this too. And he couldn't. 2) 1000 symbols is too much. There are few such long posts on the forum, it is desirable that the Detector recognizes text with 250 characters. Im agree with : More than a post detailing what he’s going to do, next (something that i however encourage him to do), I think the best answer will be in his next posts, where he’s going to adhere to forum rules and principles

PlagiarismUser: AlphaEther BannedA quick glance at crypto and NFT exchanges reveals that many new NFTs are being developed using sustainable and green technologies. In case you are not aware of this, let's just say that these are now known as Green NFTs.
Most NFTs are now minted on Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchains a mining process that requires a large amount of computing power. Most NFTs are created on the Ethereum blockchain, and the Ethereum energy consumption index calculates that each NFT created on the Ethereum blockchain requires 223.85 kilowatt-hours of electricity. In fact, a single NFT transaction on the PoW Ethereum blockchain generates 124.86 kg of carbon dioxide. Now comes the Green NFTs - called Impact NFTs. These Green NFTs are minted on Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchains or using a very low carbon mining process. This ensures that each token is eco-friendly and, in some cases, can be positive for the environment. In fact, the entire Ethereum blockchain is now shifting to a PoS mechanism to enable the creation of future NFTs with a much lower environmental footprint. Most companies in the crypto space are now encouraging the use of renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions. However, many crypto companies are still trying to find new spaces that will provide better solutions. Other technologies, such as Solana and Cardano and their token Impact, have taken the concept of NFT a few steps further, making it much more popular in a very short period of time.
