Per the shoutbox:

BFLJosh @ 05-01-2013 01:28 AM

"I believe the boards are done, but we're waiting on the next set of chips. Should have that by the end of the week. Still will need to get the firmware to talk to the new boards, but that should be fairly trivial. Assuming no issues with the PCB on an electrical/physical level, we might be able to start shipment of LS/Singles next week."

Yeah, that one was mostly trashed.

so that bfl picture of the big wafer - it went in the bin ?

Josh is leaking out, via shoutbox, to his most trusted fans information that he won't touch with a 10 foot pole in the public.

BFL customers waited over half a year, simply on the chip waiting game alone.  12 BFL Jalapenos later, all the chips are all gone?

I'd like to see proof of insurance claim that was filed for when you "lost" the wafer/s.

So after analysis of Josh's statements we have the following situtation:

The boards *might* be done.
There are no chips for the boards.
They *might* have chips by the end of the week, but no firm date for delivery.
They still need to get the firmware working, no time estimate for that either.
There *might* be electrical & physical issues with the new boards.
And of course, yet another "gonna ship next week." but only if everything goes perfectly in a project where almost nothing goes right.

Bitcoin is backed by the full faith and credit of YouTube comments.

How in the world do you lose 5,000 ASIC chips? They only shipped 15 Jalepeno's (prototypes)....

Are you sure Josh didn't use the majority of it for his own orders?

LOL.

Is there some kind of reward for the worst performing company of the year?

Like the Golden Raspberry for movies?

I would gladly nominate BFL, I think they could really clean up some prices.

Where else do you think the recent network hashrate increase came from?

Garsh!  I wonder why we've been delayed?  It couldn't be because there was a problem, could there?  Garsh!
...  I mean, even a child can understand problem + delay = things not working...  Seriously, what mental breakdown is required for someone to be so oblivious as to not understand the basic fundamental principal of cause and effect?  I find it difficult to believe someone can be so incredibly stupid and still be able to use a computer.  So that leaves willful trolling...

 I'll just leave this here.

Remember, they shipped on April 1st, folks !

"Believe"  really means I have no fucking clue.

"Should" means I fucking hope so and am praying to God it happens.

"Might" means it won't be.

Josh is so good at not being able to make a clear statement of knowing what is happening with the company he manages. Murky statements. Should, Believe, Might, Possibly, ...

Cheesy I sense an impending implosion to come in the next few months if not weeks.

You'd think Josh would have learned by now not to tempt fate with statements like, "that should be fairly trivial."

Pretty sure that's a code phrase for "another six months."  Whether he intends it to be or not >.<

Well in Josh's world everything is rainbows, roses, unicorns, leprechauns, pots of gold.

So it is "fairly trivial" to him in his little world but in reality it is bullshit.
