Hello, i would like to have a list of ASIC-Miner-Developers that want to create a miner for avalon-asics. This list should stay here in first post to have an overview. I will add assemblers too now. This list is not for Miners that are sold with ASICs included already (No BFL Miner, Avalon Miner or Asicminer Miner). The list only contains offers whats to do with Avalon ASIC Chips that can be bought at Avalon store or at one of the many Avalon ASIC Group buys. There is a list with producers of complete miners including Avalon ASIC's (you cant send them your chips) below. Note: Please check out for yourself if the developers are trustworthy. I didnt do this check for all of them, i only list them. Please note that the prices most likely are still tentative!Forum User | Project Name | Thread | Miner for X ASIC's | Needs your ASIC's sent to? | Product Type | Cost of Product | Complete miner Price per Chip | Licence fee to developer? | Developer/ Assembler Location | What happens with product? | burnin | BitBurner X | Click | 10 | Yes | Complete Miner with cooling | 98€ + VAT | 9.8€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner XX | Click | 20 | Yes | Complete Miner with cooling | 105€ + VAT | 5.25€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner X | Click | 10 | Yes | Complete Miner with watercooling | 145€ + VAT | 14.5€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner XX | Click | 20 | Yes | Complete Miner with watercooling | 150€ + VAT | 15€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner X+XX | Click | 30 | Yes | Complete Miner with watercooling | 240€ + VAT | 8€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner XX+XX | Click | 40 | Yes | Complete Miner with watercooling | 245€ + VAT | 6.125€ + VAT | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner X | Click | 10 | Yes | Barebone Miner complete but without Cooling and attachment materials | 90€ + VAT | | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner XX | Click | 20 | Yes | Barebone Miner complete but without Cooling and attachment materials | 96€ + VAT | | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | burnin | BitBurner X | Click | 10-20 | On your wish | Empty PCB without any parts for DIY | 25€ | | Self developed | Germany, Hamburg | Sent to Customer | flyonwall | Condo | Click | 10 | Yes | Complete Miner with cooling (based on Avalon reference design) | 160 units for 1.34BTC each (64 sold) all further units cost 2.54BTC | 0.134BTC-0.254BTC | Not needed (Avalon Design) | Philippines, Cebu City | Kept by Developer, hosted at Douglas County, Washington, USA (power cost $0.02kWh) and pays out dividend | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 1 | No | DIY (Including board + parts | without ASIC, heat sink, ATX PSU and cables) See Note *1 | $16 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 16 | No | DIY (Including board + parts | without ASIC, heat sink, ATX PSU and cables) See Note *1 | $35 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 64 | No | DIY (Including board + parts | without ASIC, heat sink, ATX PSU and cables) See Note *1 | $100 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 1 | No | DIY (Including board only) | $6 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 16 | No | DIY (Including board only) | $12 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 64 | No | DIY (Including board only) | $25 | | Self developed | Thailand | Sent to Customer | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 16 | No | Open Source Miner Plans only | Free | | Self developed | Thailand | Downloadable | BkkCoins | Klondike | Click | 64 | No | Open Source Miner Plans only | Free | | Self developed | Thailand | Downloadable | allten | Quarter Stick | Click | 1 | Yes | Complete Miner | | | Self developed | | Sent to Customer | ryepdx | Stumptown Miner | Click | 16 | Yes | Complete Miner with heatsink (Klondike Template) | $107 | $6.6875 | | USA, Westcoast | Sent to Customer | ryepdx | Stumptown Miner | Click | 64 | Yes | Complete Miner with heatsink (Klondike Blueprint) | $428 | $6.6875 | | USA, Westcoast | Sent to Customer | terrahash | | Click | 16 | Yes | Complete Miner with heatsink (Klondike) | $90 | $5.625 | | US | Sent to Customer/ Hosting possible | terrahash | | Click | 64 | Yes | Complete Miner with heatsink (Klondike) | $250 | $3.90625 | | US | Sent to Customer/ Hosting possible | marto74 | TECHNOBTCIT | Click | 1 | Yes | Complete Miner (Klondike Blueprint) | 19.50€ | | 0.02BTC to Dev | Bulgaria, Sofia | Sent to Customer | marto74 | TECHNOBTCIT | Click | 16 | Yes | Complete Miner (Klondike Blueprint) | 40-59€ + 3.90€ heatsink | 2.74375€ - I knew there was something I wanted to do earlier today and it seems you beat me to it! This will definitely come useful , and it may be nice to have another column of ETA as each forum post is updated as there are just so many posts to go through on each one.
thanks for starting!

What do you mean with ETA? I guess its hard to tell when the design is ready and tested or how fast a miner can be created. If you mean the info posted in this thread... once i see new info i will add it into the first post for a better overview.

Well I'm sure not all designs are created equally. so I wonder if each Dev has their own ETA right now. i.e. 2 weeks to market,3 weeks etc? I mean some people have full time jobs and others don't so someone may be able to work on this for 20 hrs/day if they could while others may only have 5 hours / day.
Also stating if its DIY/Fully Finished/In-between maybe good for the different folks on the board.

Pretty hard for that estimate. Depending on who is trying to get a jump on it and who might be lucky enough to guess right even before the avalon specs come out. Boards could even be ready before the chips are even shipped by some timelines... that means the time it takes to get chips to the boards would be the limiting factor in most of these builds. So conservatively a few weeks after chips DESCEND ON THE BOARD BUILDERS LIKE LOCUSTS for boards to start hashing in the wild. For a DIY who will get boards and either do the reflow at home or take it to a local SMT you might need to add a little time depending on their skills sets, but the PCB builders may even have working prototypes with those lose Avalon chips we have heard about so...when? Within 2 to 4 weeks of the chips arrival for most if the boards are up to snuff is my best guess on all the designs I have read about. That means if there are no BFL types PCB builders you might see more hash power come from DIY avalon chips than BFL can muster and cheaper.

I think the first chipbatches will arrive in some months. And in this month avalon will provide a free miner design. That means its possible that no developers are needed at all to create a miner. But the miners created by the developers can only be tested once they can run the miner with a chip to test it out. In 4 weeks test-chips are sent out so that miner-developers can test their miner.
What i mean... it takes some time until the chips arrive anyway. And when they arrive the miners will be ready to be created. A ETA isnt needed because of that i think.
But maybe i misunderstood you.

right - they said they would provide a reference design. But even if you use that you still have to get the PCBs ordered and the boards assembled.

But i think there will be at least a month between reference design and chipdelivery. Enough time to make contracts or get the parts. And if the developers really can deliver as fast as they wish can only show the future. burnin plans 1000 units a week. I dont know if it will work out. Asic-companies very often have problems with their plans.

@SebastianJu you made sense to my question. I wasn't sure what kind of "reference" Avalon was releasing though, but who knows maybe its an exact copy of their hardware. I just wouldn't know how one would start verifying the design before ordering X boards. I guess you would just order a few test boards then.
anyway, good info to have in a post!
