i think a lot of them are gonna be superseded by better ones. the amount of knowledge is growing by the day and the amount of weaknesses in current ones are too.

more brains are coming on line as the space grows bigger. they will come up with some amazing new stuff.

Agreed.  Although I'd say if you're going to bet, look at coins with large and strong development teams.  With new tech/use cases coming every day it seems, it's the coins that have the engineering heft behind them to implement these new ideas and systems that will succeed.

I'm following the number 1 and 2 but not for 3, Dash looks like a scheme for me. NXT/NEM can be the number third or I can say if that's better than dash coin. And I follow a lot of the project based on ERC20 compliant.
Ethereum looks being the strong community right now.
I will try to follow santiment, because they are offering the real use of their token, And not only just sit on your chair, watch the market and join on the pump and dump coin.
There is no project offering a real usage for their token rather than put them on the market to sell them on the high price.

Yes these three are sure to be there,doge deserve to be a post there but every year a new innovation and a new coin with good projects and team behind it so we'll see but I still think coinmarketcap is the best guide on what coin is still in contention

I see the current development of Altcoin Ripple very much downhill and not good, but Ripple seems to have enormous potential to compete with other altcoins, and the price still does not go down in the market, so I'm sure in 2020 Ripple will be the highest. for the future .

By 2020 virtual currency will be more popular and so altcoins too will be reaching a very big user base than the present. The volume too will be increasing very big for most of the altcoins. Hope bitcoin will be serving as the head as the upcoming halving by the year makes a added demand to bitcoin because of supply reduction.

Values under $ 1 for projects as they exist in the top 150 of the marketcap, it will not happen anymore .. I'm not talking about all 150 but I think 100 projects are still there tomorrow in 2020!

I think eth and xrm will follow btc price, up and up. But too risky if we say 2020 because is a long time and market can change. For me I'll collect eth and xrp for higher price investment. Hope the price always up ..

In fact this is just the year of recognizing btc in the world. Only wealthy and internet businesses and countries has adapted the btc. Most 3rd world and below are still in the verge of recuperating and to actually be in sync with the current economic crisis. Right now the world is on focus on wars but as far as the cryptocurrency is concern, this will become an economic investment and many countries will get rich once they adapted these.
