Usually when BTC goes up then altcoin will go down, currently, altcoin seems not to be affected  BTC price. BTC price increase this year is remarkable. We wait in 2020.

Well .. here's our chance to buy Altcoin to play in the long run because I'm sure Bitcoin will have a dump, either next week or next month I also do not know exactly when it will happen.

but at least we should choose altcoin which we will save or for trading. for we know, recklessly chose altcoin could be at high risk, and may not be sold again in the market

Which altcoins do you think will see year 2020 with prosperity and why they will survive?

I think following will be there

1) Ripple / because of its application in banking use
2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality
3) Dash / Instant send and private send

Ripple isn't really used by banks, only their blockchain is used but not the currency, so I think it will die out in the long term. I think Ether has the most potential of the three you listed, its not only the first coin with smart contracts but its already linked to multiple other tokens that were created on it which all have value.

Finally I think in 2020 coins that have not even been released will win out, the innovation in the cryptoworld will continue and while several coins we see now will be big the best and biggest ones will be the newcomers that really improve upon the world.

Bitcoin definitely as major coin.
Monero as best anonymous coin so far, and probably will stay on this top for a longer time.
Decred I will watch this one very closely.

But nothing will change fact that this is centralized platform.Whole idea behind bitcoin was decentralization and escape from economic slavery..Small men can be its own banker..

Yes that's right, do not be careless when choosing altcoin for backup or for trade, If we are wrong in choosing altcoin we can lose and even worse altcoin is not sold in the market anymore.

I liked the idea of a truly anonymous coin like "Zero Coin", but then it never really came to fruition (in it's conceptual form). I think the project became Zcoin/Zcash/ZenCoin or what not but it doesn't seem to be the big hit I thought it'd be (probably because of the bad press surrounding it).

Yes that's right, do not be careless when choosing altcoin for backup or for trade, If we are wrong in choosing altcoin we can lose and even worse altcoin is not sold in the market anymore.

That can be but it hink there are also altcoin who is trying to legitimize there coins before btc can even dump if they will. Right now there are many accounts supporting an specific coin and there are a lot of it. This also means that there is an underground fight between this altcoins.

I still dont get why people mention and advise ripple... Go grab some and get burned longterm.
Anyway, there are good altcoins at the moment.
Stratis, golem, waves, nem (although very pumped recently), there are more ofc.
Stratis is an ethereum competitor which has been increasing in value and #marketcap. Bringing a new staple wallet for bitcoin (breeze wallet) which will allow anon bitcoin txs. Will have sidechains so that projects can be built upon them and some other cool tech coming.

Im all game for ETH right now, after swaping all my btc to ETH im happy, well i could always go back into a position into btc, any other ALT coin worth looking at right now ?

Ripple is a great coin since they have promosing project for upcoming years
Usually they adjust bitcoin value so it's difficult to predict what will happen but one for sure that those three altcoin mentioned above is hard to go down !

Don't forget , ETH also have a great prospect for future purpose !

I think the strongest competitor now is Litecoin.

Segwit is fully activated since 2 weeks, the next big steps are the implementation of Ligthning, Mast - Smart Contracts.
If the BTC is gettin Segwit, these two can do instant cross change transactions without any exchange.

Then the Litecoin has the exact same adopation as BTC already has (because it can be used as a payment where you can pay with bitcoin) and you can use it to buy dalie stuff, because of its low transaction fees (1cent), and when LN is active the payment is available nearly instant.

So I dont know how nobody seems LTC is one the most valuable coins in 2020.

Tether is not a coin, it is a token used as a way to store value momentanesouly, not longterm.
