Really good prices but I have been doing not well during last 3 weeks and lost many points, I do not see a positive week for me with tomorrow games either but let's see. I would be happy if I finish in the top 5.

Welcome back to Week 31 guys! Looks like a really sleepy Saturday, to be honest. I'm not even that thrilled that Liverpool's playing (still somewhat numb from last week's loss to our old friends Utd). I'm going for slightly dull results as well, hoping that the mood and weather, compounded with lethargy for all the teams in the final week will lead to 1-1 and 2-1 results. As usual, backing pool to hit 3 past Watford with no reply.

@hilarious: well done on regaining top spot. You've been making really good calls of late, well deserved!

Not that it matters here, but I sense at least 1 full-time draw result for either Spurs or United, that's where my betting is. Can't believe you'd have to bet Liverpool's game over 4 goals just to sniff odds above 2.0!

Nah, I know Liverpool don't have the most inspiring defence, but Watford doesn't exactly have the most prolific strikers either. Anyway, Salah scored his first hattrick just right now, taking away my 40 points from my usual 3-0 predictions. They might as well just score another 2 or 3 and heap on the goals.

I did well today with the few matches, will end the day with 90 points. Turns out I was right with both 2-1 victories for Everton and AFC, wrong about the Crystal Palace draw. Guess we know who's in team of the week for EPL. Hearts Salah finally leading goalscorer!

20 points for me too. I had Liverpool 3-0 , 3-1 Bournemouth, draw Crystal Palace and a narrow 1-0 Stoke win. Liverpool did the last goals in the last minutes but that is very common in the premier league.  Now we should wait until 31 March for the upcoming games of the premier league.

Feels nice to do better than the current leaders... though 70 points on you guys isn't going to do much with the gap I still need to cover to reach Top 5. Just realised now also that the next games are two weeks away (what anguish!), but I've already logged in to BBC to enter my predictions. I'm going for mostly away wins, two shock draws for the Manchester teams and a Chelsea victory over their London rivals. Lots of days in between to change my mind, but I'll probably just let them ride.

P.S. Guys, I'm thinking of doing a World Cup mini pool with a knock-out/survivor format... would any of you be interested? A quick one-month competition with only the last one(s) standing winning the pot.

I would be interested to join that competition but would prefer different format. Knock-out/survivor format is hard for the ones going out immediately. I would prefer something which generates interest for all participants all the way till the final game. Hilariousandco also mentioned organizing such pool.

I'll be doing one the same as this providing there's a website like the BBC one. It would be far too much work to do it manually otherwise and with games everyday it would be hectic. I know there was one for the last Euros so people should keep their eye out. People are free to start their own tournaments though if they wish.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make it more interesting for players even if they already get knocked out early (as Trofo does have a point about keeping interest for a month-long competition). But the basic survivor knockout tournament does have a nice and simple element of risk and reward which I like.

Basically, you get to pick any team only ONCE... if they win their next match, you get to round 2. If they lose, you're knocked out. And so on until there's one player standing. You're allowed to make the same pick if there isn't any other option left, but will be forced to take the weaker team, based on bookie odds. You can buy more than 1 entry, no re-entries but I'll set a limit maybe.

So there are several strategies. Keep picking the strong ones, and hope you reach the finals on forced picks, or try and pick underdogs or even weaker teams when they might win, reserving strong picks for the end.

As hilarious says, it's too much trouble to manage anything more complicated... and I doubt there's a survivor type game online we could play for World Cup but let me have a look. Still got a few weeks to do this. Think it might be popular? could try the league regulars as you said.

Nope. Don't know anything about it. The only sport I really follow (and gamble on) is football. I occasionally watch the big MMA and boxing fights as well.

The table took quite some time to update. I was anxious to see what the top 5 got seeing as there was only 4 games and I didn't do very well with only 20 points but it seems they all got between 20-30:

It's basically the same game as the EPL predictor but with F1.  What do you guys think? 

I love F1 more than any other sports, well I used to until Mclaren screw it out big time with the Honda engine. Just like the EPL but this would be more difficult to make as the winners are more predictable in F1 compared to soccer, also we cannot guess what time will be the fastest lap as that is impossible but we can also make a guess who will make the fastest lap except winning the race, and of course we can add who will win pole. For example 10 points who guess who win the race, 10 points who guess who win the pole and 40 points who guess who makes the fastest lap.

Almost forgot we're back in action, so don't forget to put your predictions in. Eight lovely games up tomorrow. I know I said I'd return to normal bookie backings, but I feel like I'm too far down the table to not take risks. International games will have taken some of their toll on the big teams - not that they're tired or anything but they always seem out of rhythm (or back in tempo)... thinking of my own Sadio Mane whenever he returns from int duty.

Let me boldly predict 2-1 losses for Man Utd and City, Huddersfield to drop closer to relegation zone with a loss to Newcastle... and no draws!
