If you're a serious collector, then you already know all about the 2017 PaperSafe Silver Satoshi Note. For all new collectors, here is the story. Only ten (10) of these highly collectible and very beautiful Silver Satoshi notes were ever created and assembled by the PaperSafe Company. Each serial number starts with #0004, and this particular note is #000405. Originally designed by BG4 of PaperSafe and mounted inside a tamper resistant, crystal clear acrylic display slab with matching .999 Fine Silver Collectible Coin. This is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting and most beautiful bitcoin crypto-collectibles on the market.

As the few other Silver Satoshi Note owners have said, it's really hard to capture the true beauty and complexity of these PaperSafe Silver Satoshi Notes in a few photos. For example, the notes are printed in separate layers at different levels, which is difficult to notice unless you've held one in real life and examined it from many different angles. (You can see the serial number in the top left corner as an example. When viewed straight on, it appears centered. However, when seen at an angle, it is partially covered by the top artwork.) The stunning, multi-level, intricate design on these Silver Satoshi Notes is truly magnificent!

I would say with the limited run these are you should start at around 2BTC. I cannot express how little pictures show in regards to having the real piece.

Not trying to bring the value of these down but these sold for pretty low numbers in the auctions (around 0.4 BTC if I'm not mistaken). The Thug Life notes sold for 5+ BTC during the original auctions. I personally see the Thug Life notes more like artwork and the Silver Satoshi Notes are more like collectibles.

If I had one of these I wouldn't let it go below 1 - 1.5 BTC. Papersafes are undervalued imo. The pictures don't do them justice but they look awesome IRL.

Agreed. I've always thought the PaperSafe products were undervalued, especially the original Series 2015-A PaperSafe Satoshi Notes. (I'll never let mine go.) However, the PaperSafe Silver Satoshi above is the bee's knees.

Oh, yes! I've received quite a few offers. LOL Mostly in the 1-1.5 BTC range. In fact, I finally accepted one of those offers, but the buyer ran into a small problem gathering the funds, so the sale was canceled.

These were multi-auctioned (a little under the radar) five at a time and several of us were lucky and sneaked away with one for ~.35 BTC. In my opinion, three (3) important things factored into the low auction wins. It was really the perfect storm for us collectors! (Bad for BG4, though.) Such a cool moment, and I'll never forget it.

First, if they had been auctioned one at a time, then I'm sure the individual price tags would've been closer to 1 BTC each.

Second, everyone knows how collectible BG's artwork and the PaperSafe brand is in the crypto community. Personally, I didn't even bid in the first round of five notes, because I just KNEW that the final bids would skyrocket in the last few minutes to the 1-2 BTC range. And that price was out of my league. (I have shorter pockets these days.) I think most people were thinking the same, that's why most people didn't bid at all. Then before we knew it, the auction was over and the first bidders STOLE these things at the low price of ~.35 BTC.

Third, and perhaps most importantly, the second auction for the last five (5) Silver Satoshi Notes didn't have a thread of its own! It simply started on the same page where the first auction ended! Therefore, the last five (5) Silver Satoshi Notes were only known to those of us who were watching the first auction and checked back in to congratulate the first five winners! LOL

Additionally, since the first auction ended with such surprisingly low final bids, that accidentally set the market for the bids on the second auction.

It really was super interesting how all of these things clicked into place to allow us collectors to obtain these beautiful pieces so cheaply. And it was most unfortunate for BG. I am 100% POSITIVE that he could've sold each of these PaperSafe Silver Satoshi Notes individually for the 1-2 BTC mark each if things had gone a little differently.

... and how do I not know of them? :O

Ah, well, it sucks that I missed them, would have loved to own one at their original price tag, but such is the world of collecting. I'm sure I'll get my hands on them in the end, one way or another.
